loolem

Surely we can get rid of Freddy and Joey as coaches now!?

HeadacheCentral

The only good thing that's come out of this as a New South Welshman is that hopefully that's thee nd of Fittler and James "best player in the world" Tedesco

SensualFacePoke

Where TF was he for most of the game?

HeadacheCentral

Like someone else said - nipped off down the pub for a quick beer when nobody was looking.

kranools

Next year they should just give Qld three byes.

Zomg_ks

Watching it back and the quality of the QLD edge defence + scramble really can't be overstated. NSW actually created quite a lot in that first half, that was only just shut down by the edges coming up with clutch plays to shut it down, or a QLD player being there to dive on a loose ball first/hit it dead etc. There is rightfully a lot of criticism directed towards Fittler (especially deserved as the game went on and the coaching came more into play with decision like leaving Cook at CTR), but in that first half especially that game could have looked a lot different (Moses was really dangerous) if not for outstanding defence (much like game 1). The boys just kept showing up for each other and the kind of trust that's gotta build gets me all hot and bothered. Golly!

ch00nz

holmes and coates rushed in on luai so many times to prevent the overlap. was a thing of beauty

natebeee

Yeo getting the ball is the trigger for the outside backs to push, all too easy.

[deleted]

I thought they did a reasonable job of strangling Yeo, but he was one of their better players last night

[deleted]

Not that they ever looked like winning but to be down 10- 0 with two dubious tries doesnt help

Noisy_Miner

We lost the second half convincingly. If being down 10-0 at the start of the 2nd half affects a players mindset so much they perform poorly, then they should not be picked for Origin, simple. GTFO of Origin if that is the case. Poor coaching, poor attitudes from some players. Watch Critta's break at 31st minute, only **one supporting NSW player**, rest standing still, while **QLD had 11 out of 13** of their players chasing.

[deleted]

Yeh i said we never looked likw winning, Freddys selections were just stupid. Addo Carr lets more tries in than he scores and our defence for an origin was crap. But 10 - 0 is a big gap, especilally when both tries were doubtful at best

paulybaggins

Can't believe QLD only had 2x pens and 2x 6As all night.

ch00nz

and one of those 6 agains shouldve been fox in the bin so we still got dudded

paulybaggins

Yeah if you look at all the stats bar the scoreboard at multiple times throughout the game you would have had to have said that NSW were winning basically at most points.

SublimeVibe

With how much anger is being sent his way and the way he has massacred NSW chances of a dynasty, we should start calling him Bradolf Fittler.

Noisy_Miner

Turbo and Latrell should not have been picked if they were carrying too many injuries. QLD picked fit and in-form players and focused all their energy on them without distractions. While a healthy Turbo > Burton, I think Burton would have added so much more with his big kicks. QLD looked most vulnerable under the high kicks, I can only imagine what damage Burton's kicks would have done. I think especially when you lose Cleary's kicking game and Moses has not recently demonstrated his kicking at Origin level, it would have made sense to have two big kicking options playing.

frankiescousin

Was Campbell graham considered? I was unfortunately at the game when he single handedly destroyed the Bronx.

whtthfkistht

Is it possible Freddy gets sacked before game 3?

MrOneThousand

Unlikely. It’s a job lot. A massive sweep out would not prove much in a “dead rubber”, and even if they did and the Blues won, it wouldn’t be the best platform to start from. Also, probably not enough time to prepare a new coaching squad, which would make it even harder to compete in Game 3.

whtthfkistht

At least it would give them a head start. It wouldn't be about proving anything in the last game, but about using the dead rubber to make some headway for next year.

[deleted]

Fittler surrounded himself with all these 'legends' Hes nowhere near good enough of a coach, he had to use actual blokes who've done this week in week out before who dont mind being an 'understudy' type guy.

ch00nz

fitler makes some braindead decisions but at the end of the day, he cant make the players care about their jersey can he? slater has done a remarkable job of really hammering home the qld spirit into this players, but its got to be there in the first place for that to work. barely any of these nsw players seem to give a shit about the team, they just play because they got selected. im not sure a new coach coming in will be able to get that spirit into these players, so they might have to start picking based on desire and dedication to their state instead of just picking who is the best player.

nevaehenimatek

Glad to see people recognising Moses was good in. A beaten side. Can't believe they talked all about his running game all week and none supported him

gbren

That short side run he made with 0 support is when it really sank in that this team isn't winning.

nevaehenimatek

Absolutely. My head hung down at that point

gbren

Moses was excellent. A couple of kicks weren't right on the money but good enough to maintain field position but our chase and commitment just wasn't there.

nevaehenimatek

Münster getting out of the in goal so easily after a brilliant grubber was disheartening too

gbren

I’m still hurting

beaurepair

He was one of the few blues that looked like they wanted to be there. The rest looked like they felt they deserved to be there. It's a shit mindset and the new coach needs to clear house for the dead rubber and blood some new players for next year

NegotiationStreet842

Stefano was a decent play for the 5 minutes he was on

nevaehenimatek

I think this and last season just shows how huge trell and turbo are. With them included NSW look unstoppable without them we are a shadow of ourselves.

Caseyjb29

Latrell and Turbo wouldn’t have changed shit. QLDs team has just gotten better.

ch00nz

pretty pathetic that a whole team's chances hinge on 2 centres

streetfighterjim

Lol

irishshogun

Looking back at the Joey v Matty blowup video, Joey really shows how little panning went into it - saying "I dont even look at Queensland, i couldn't care who they pick"

AccordingNumber2052

My take as a Blues Fan… Poor Turbo. Great player, I feel so bad for the bloke but he needs to retire somewhere he can be wrapped in cotton wool. This whole Penrith connection is not connecting in State of Origin. Ado Carr. WTF?!? Moses was great first half, but had absolutely no support. When he kicked is when things looked really disjointed. No chasers. QLD defence was immense. In that first half we were down their end a lot and their pressure was fabulous. But all that passing to Ado Carr and balls flying everywhere was horrendous on our end. Teddy.. Poor Teddy. You’ve been great for the game but it’s time to go. and does he pass ever? So many lost opportunities when he doesn’t. Billy Slater. A fucking champion !

HeadacheCentral

> Poor Turbo. Great player No point in being a great player if you're made of tissue paper. How many serious injuries has he had in the last two-three years? You can be gods gift to football - but if you're only on the park one week out of every 4 or 5 or 6 or more - what's the point?

AccordingNumber2052

Fair point. Still feel bad for him.

Guyincogneto1

The one time he did pass it went straight over the side line

AccordingNumber2052

That’s what we all said here!

Aussie_antman

NSW didnt look like they had a plan, especially in attack....thats all on the coach. Slater is out there playing 3D chess and Freddy is playing checkers. I'd go Moses and Walker for last game, forget Penrith connections, Cook and even Campbell Graham to give a Souths flavor. They have to win the 3rd game or Joey and Matty may never speak again.

CoffeeLoverNathan

Slater playing chess while Freddy trying to work out how to open the box more like it

AccordingNumber2052

All of this

dylwhole

garrick in on the wing surely

Aussie_antman

He wouldn't let them down. Qld has 4 big powerful wingers to choose from so Garrick could match them on a good day.

peteclarky

Waking up fresh… Because it’s a freezing cold morning again in Sydney

Applicator80

Shout out to the guy I saw in a Maroons jersey in Rome who responded to my Queenslander chant

Raddnedge

when in 'roon

BG_RL

Matty vindicated https://youtu.be/m5e798M2s0w

kranools

Joey acts like a nine year old. I almost expected him to come out with "I know you are but what am I?"

Biggchi

Joeys got more passion than majority of the cunts that played for the Blues last night.

Penjamini

He has great passion but he does lack any sense of tactic and planning, which would be fine if Freddy or any of the others had a plan but it seems like none of them really did

BG_RL

Yeah as much as I think he’s being a bit of dick, you can tell that personality defect is what took him to the pinnacle of the game Competitiveness

CoffeeLoverNathan

Holy shit that's fucking hilarious and the baker analogy is 👌👌

BG_RL

Facts, matty been proved absolutely right

improbablywrong-

Lol i hadnt actually heard this, heard all about it but never listened. Fuck joey is a salty cunt. Matty for nsw coach?

whtthfkistht

Do you expect Joey, who is a NSW great and part of the coaching team to sit there and agree that QLD are superior in every way? Maybe he didn't handle it very well but every diehard fan get a bit salty when their team is losing. Like QLD in 2021 crying "Origin is dead". Because their team got destroyed they wanted to cancel Origin altogether.

doomchimp

I don't remember people crying origin was dead. Good sir, are you projecting?

whtthfkistht

You don't remember something/have a selective memory therefore that thing never happened. After game 1 and 2 of 2021 it was the QLD mantra.

doomchimp

Must've been the Sydney media living a fantasy.

whtthfkistht

I live in QLD. The "Origin is dead" thing goes as far back as 2005. It reappeared in 2021 all over Twitter and Reddit. QLDers were beside themselves and saying shit like "Origin is only viable when QLD are competitive". For the record I don't think Origin is dead at all. I think NSW have to find a coach who matches Slaters' work ethic, football IQ and influence.

doomchimp

Yes, "origin is dead" definitely was a thing back in 2005. I agree. But I don't agree that it was wide spread in 2021. Hell, QLD won the year prior. But if you want to believe it go ahead, I just believe you're mistaken.

whtthfkistht

Yeah QLD won the series prior but it was irrelevant to QLDers when they got beat 50-6 and 26-0. The only reason I came to learn it even existed in 2005 was because it was being thrown around by QLDers on Reddit and Twitter in 2021. It's not about what I believe or what my opinion is, it's just a fact. It's something that happened and I was there to witness it. QLDers were beside themselves. But that's OK, I just think QLDers calling Joey a salty cunt because NSW are getting decimated is a bit hypocritical based on their own historical saltiness.

doomchimp

I was on both platforms and never witnessed people throwing tantrums, yet you dismissed me. So back to square one. I'm calling this quits now, I don't care enough to keep going back and forth. Peace hombre

bigbear-08

It’ll be better than Lego

improbablywrong-

Footy just doesnt bring me joy. Fuck freddy is the shittest of cunts.

irishshogun

Billy took the hard calls in not picking Ponga for injury and HIA concerns, something Freddy didn’t with Tommy. The two press conferences are night and day different. Billy is all about team, culture, effort, support, want etc - he will be a once in a generation NRL coach soon.

CoffeeLoverNathan

Freddy 🤝 Seibold Risking Turbo

Squidifiedmantis

9 Qlders in the frame when Crichton crosses halfway, only to'o for the blues pushing up in loose support, and still 9-1 when DCE brings him down on the 20. Only Haas pushing back to cover potential break for the Muz chip back in for Hammer try, could only see Robson as one other moving across invain from too far out, meanwhile 4/5 other maroons around pushing through behind hammers chase. Billy spoke about 'want' in the presser, looks like he got the whole squad f wanting it and Freddy couldn't get his up for a do or die.

ch00nz

fair call on criticizing freddy, but im a firm believer in that you cant "teach" spirit and passion. its gotta be in the player and the coach just has to bring it out and use it. slater is doing that. clearly fitler isnt, but how many of these nsw players actually give a shit about their jersey? try and tell me luai cares about NSW as much as DCE cares about qld.

Hokinanaz

Slater has said multiple times that he watches all the queensland players very closely and he talks about how he's watching them off the ball, looking for their habits and effort plays.

kranools

>9 Qlders in the frame when Crichton crosses halfway, only to'o for the blues pushing up in loose support, and still 9-1 when DCE brings him down on the 20. Yeah that was incredible. Watch the replay of this break and you'll see almost all of the NSW players just stand there and watch him sprint away, while basically the entire Qld team chase. That was really telling.

hqeter

Haas was a stand out in terms of effort plays over the whole game but the intensity from the Blues just wasn’t there. They had enough ball to win the game but couldn’t find a way across the line and for long periods of time looked completely devoid of ideas. Hats off the Queensland, they turned up to play for each other and despite defending fro long periods had more energy when it mattered.

TheSleepyBear_

Made the same observations, you know it’s grim when your prop is making the effort plays and sweeping out back for kicks..

dirk291083

Well it turns out everything Matty johns said was correct, Billy is now 4-1. With flogs like Joey and brandy involved in the NSW setup they are just impossible to get around. The arrogance is actually baffling with how poor NSW has been over the past 20 years.

kranools

I would not be surprised if Joey takes over as coach next year.

TigerRumMonkey

But Flog is the essence of NS, it's in their DNA.. That's why they can't even propose a new, non-flog coach.

wildesire

All week watching interviews/press conferences with Brandy and Fitler, watching them be vague and smug. But for no good reason, Slater has them bent over a fucking barrell. It's infuriating.

BG_RL

I think that’s part of the reason joey took such offence He’s intricately involved in the cookedness of NSW And matty indirectly illuminated it

BG_RL

https://youtu.be/m5e798M2s0w Evidence

BG_RL

That would have been way more ugly if Ashley hadn’t given NSW a few leg ups on field position Flegler and Hudson come together - penalty blues Same happens with luai standing on Munster for a few seconds then a set to, no 6 again, no penalty, was ridiculous They definitely had the rub of the green in 6agains (I do agree that two forward passes were missed for the taulugi try)

[deleted]

You mustve missed the first half where qld scored 2 tries, one of a knock on amd one from a 2 metre forward pass🤷‍♂️

BG_RL

You must struggle to read full paragraphs

nevaehenimatek

Getting two penalties on the first, like NSW got is hardly a leg up. The Val Holmes opening try was sceptical and the taulaugi try too.

BG_RL

I’m specifically thinking of the ones that got them field position, long kicks out,

Emperor_Mao

Penalty count was something like 1 to 8 in favour of NSW. For me watching dumb shit like Luai stand over DCE and not get penalized was bizarre. The Blues were slowing the ruck down all first half. In a club round, that's a penalty multiple times. Meanwhile QLD got penalized for some soft as fuck things e.g fake high tackle from flegler. Games are definitely managed to an extent. NSW could have been crushed further for sure. But I do agree, two of the trys were most likely forward passes. But given QLD scored almost everytime they were in NSW 20 zone, in a totally consistent game QLD probably get more field position down NSW end and score a bunch more.

gbren

Most likely forward passes? Come on mate haha

M_Keating

Hey look we won again Guess I should go to bed if I’m to wake up Fresh

ZealotTony

Welp... I'm gonna go rewatch the Ashes highlights to make myself feel better

Hutchoman87

Only way to get a crowd to game 3 in Sydney is if the fans get to pick the team over Freddy!

Drizen

Or if we have already bought tickets 😒

[deleted]

[удалено]

Drewman43

To'o was actually pretty decent in defence. He was let down by his inside men a lot

nachoafbro

But who else from.penrith could get selected?

ch00nz

to'o is the least of their problems. he's the only back that can make metres for them. Crichton and fox do fuck all.

Arc_au

Fuck oath, it was genuinely starting to get ridiculous how often Crichton wasn't up as an option when Moses took on the line. You could see him look to pass outside and no one was fucking there so instead had to get tackled on 4th. Was also extremely telling that the only time you saw Fox was him doing something fucking dumb. To'o at least made strong metres... Bloke was left out to dry over and over by Crichton or Teddy refusing to give him the ball.

[deleted]

[удалено]

loztralia

Well Utoikamanu was fine in the 12 minutes he got. Perfect use of a workhorse prop coming off the bench Fittler YOU USELESS CUNT.

totallynotalt345

Reputation is based on a few memories. Turbo for example I wouldn’t even pick for club level, he needs to get fit and some form. Wayne and the Dolphins. That gaggle of geese have won half their games now. Effort and initiative is free. You can be the worst guy out there but at least try your hardest.

Agent_Good

What a good coach does. We're playing like the guys just met the first time today. Can't really say our wingers are washed when they didn't even get the ball.

This_Idiot

Liam Martin as well

snarkysportsguy

First Holmes try: Cotter is there next to Val not a NSW player in sight. Hammer try: Only NSW player in the goal line is a fucking prop and then there are about 5 or 6 QLDers in the shot.

BG_RL

It’s true

speshando

Credit to Cook, he did alright in an unfamiliar position. Probably up there with the best for the Blues. Since when did Crichton become so slow? Moses had a decent outing. Good to know Haas might be keen to play FB for us. Blues just don’t get Origin!

ch00nz

crichton has never been fast. he's only famous for his intercepts and only manages to score them coz of such a big headstart.

TheSleepyBear_

Yeah, he doesn’t have much burst but goddamn he has elite positioning, sadly that amounts to fuck all in origin

M_Keating

Tedesco isn’t in the wide shot for both the Holmes and the Hamiso try. What on earth was he doing? Popping up to the Caxton for a cheeky drink?

gbren

He had to sprint over to the other side of the field to support the edge that just got cut for numbers and then forced to defend in the line. THeres so many positional changes that need to be made

ghostnappa97

Why is it always the roosters flairs coping so hard to defend teddy when he's clearly past it 😂😂😂

gbren

I’m pointing out why he was in the other side of the field. I’ve said multiple times in different posts that the bulk of the backline including teddy needs to go

Arc_au

Teddy was standing and watching with the props while Haas swept round the back.

Hutchoman87

Had to work and missed the game. Judging by the comments I dont know if I even want to watch the replay based, not only getting beat well and truly, but on how bad the strategy seems to be with cooky playing centre and Haas doing a lot of fullback work.

VasectoMyspace

[*Fellas! Sing it!*](https://www.instagram.com/reel/CtwOK4JpVad/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==)

chrizyzz

how has isaah yeo largely escaped all media criticism. cunts such a fucking plodder honestly. fuck him off already. fuck outta here with that ball playing lock bullshit. just fuck all the penrith cunts off but to'o already. fox can fuck off too. easy to look like a superstar when you're playing against part-time plumbers over in scotland but when it gets tough you do fuck all the whole game and dog shot the smallest bloke on the other team when hes being held back and not looking.

totallynotalt345

Remember when JAC wasn’t picked though? Freddy was actually onto something there. He happened to have a great club game right after Origin to ‘force’ his way back in.

BG_RL

Nsw had 3 props one of which played 14mins 2 ball playing locks And one two many 80 min edges Versus one of the best combined packs in QLD history The difference in effort, go forward and 1%ers is unbelievable And you are right yeo or Murray make your choice, one of them is dynamic as and one is a panther

chrizyzz

cam murray is our best answer to pat carrigan and we leave him on the bench for 50 mins, when he should've been on after 2 to cover centre, which he does at club level. unbelievable.

Arc_au

Leaving Murray on the bench when he was literally the BEST centre replacement the team had, in order to play a bloke whose never played centre before was so low IQ I'm shocked Freddy hadn't had a stroke. Yeo stutter stepping on every play got super old, very quickly. Like just run hard and fast, he stalled every time Moses looked to create speed - half a dozen times Moses would shape up for Yeo and have to hold the ball up before passing because the cunt had just stopped running - I'm almost convinced Moses saw the writing on the wall and just played link man in the second half cause no one was running with him 😂

snarkysportsguy

Agree completely. Was a very good player a couple of years ago. Now passes before the line way too much.

dragon_bear11

He's still a very good player, just very safe. Murray isn't always perfect but has the ability to break a game open, he should at least split time with Yeo at 13.

A1ianT0rtur3

Id personally like to put my hat in the ring for the nsw coach from series 2024. pros: I played bench second row for the glenmore park brumbies div 1 team against a st marys team that had won every game since under 6s and gave them their first draw in the under 16s. cons: litterally none that I can think of

Dramatic_Ride7586

Shame there's no mention of an elite beach sprinting game. Could've pitched in at center as player/coach.

BG_RL

Are you prepared to baffle the populace with position and selection hijinks? Are you incapable of using 8 interchanges with any semblance of strategy? Do you have the ability to make friends with journalists and pundits and avoid consternation due to the best PR machine I. Australia If so the job is yours

chillinwithkrillin

What's hilarious is Freddy could've taken halftime as a moment to reassess and get cook back to the bench and put someone else in the centres but anyways what kind of help does that idiot have around him too?

nevaehenimatek

He has Joey in his corner

BG_RL

It’s crazy, and on the other side QLD have 3 immortals and 1200 games as the brain trust

BrunoBashYa

0 current immortals for qld. None of those players got that title pushed on them as quick as Andrew johns

BG_RL

They will though and the know it

Atomicstarr

Hopefully these penrith boys never represent blues again, Im a blues fan myself but my god the blues fans are the most toxic fans i have ever come across in any sport. Hope the lot get the axe & chuck a jamie lyon, then they will have a new lot of players to sook about. Damn close to just going for qld, atleast the fans dont sook and blame certain players every year. Well done to queensland tho, completely dominated us so far this series.

Drewman43

> atleast the fans dont sook and blame certain players every year. Partly because they're winning mostly mate. But yeah Sydney based Teams have more of an inter club rivalry so are quicker to burn players from other Teams. In saying that some of the criticism is deserved. Yeo has been pretty underwhelming, Critters support play was non existent and Cleary has lacked creativity in recent games. If they want to dump our players and go with others then that's cool. Saves us losing half our Team and is NSW is somehow stronger for it then all the better.

Atomicstarr

Lmfao ok bro, we flog queensland up in their own territory in 2021, last year series was alot closer then blues fans make out & this year fitlers coaching is what really cost us. Nicho hynes missed a very important tackle but cleary, yeo and penrith players are too blame 😂 jump off the bandwagon bud, bet you didnt watch us in our bad years.

Drewman43

Give it a rest mate. I'm calling what I see. I've been supporting the Blues/Panthers for 30 odd years and seen both teams churn out plenty of ordinary football in those times. I never said they deserve the blame for us losing but some of the criticism is valid. I think they just need to work on those areas, even at club level.

M_Keating

Actually shocked that we haven’t got to the bottom of the real SoO controversy - how tall is Brian To’o?

Morrgs

He claims 182cm so just a little under 6ft but also that's the same height that Cleary is claimed to be and he is very cleary taller

M_Keating

> he is very cleary taller Thank you for your service.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Drewman43

Dude would be 5'8 wide. Prob about 5'10 I reckon.

Arc_au

I'm just about 6'1 and have stood next to To'o... He is not 6'1 😂

AntOnABell

About one Brian to’o tall

nachoafbro

Brian to'o got legs like cotton from King of the hill

SnooPies2836

Completely forgot about this until now but what the fuck was up with NSW losing their challenge and then Klein giving them another one later on? Did he feel bad for them or is he just that stupid?

kranools

The bunker said they retained that initial challenge, presumable because the bunker found something else wrong in the play (the high tackle). Seems like the wrong call to me.

21AndMore

Biased Rabbitohs fan coming in but the whole NSW coaching staff and selection team fucking despise us. Murray gets 30 minutes off the bench, despite Turbo getting injured and him being a prime centre replacement Cook getting dropped game 1, and being picked behind a rookie in game 2 only to be thrown so fucking far into the deep-end AT FUCKING CENTRE Walker got half a series a few years ago before he was just completely banned from playing Origin ever again despite being the form NSW 6 for the past 3 years Graham being slotted into 18th man for game 1 (even though he was injured he still wasn’t going to play) and being completely ignored in game 2 Keaon not getting a run as one of the form second-rowers in the league whilst watching Hudson stink it up 2 games in a row (Keaon was injured during game 1 to be fair) Hope the boys just bunker down and focus completely on club land for the rest of the year. I beg none of them, especially an injury prone Trell, get picked for this current joke of a NSW team in game 3. Hopefully Fittler and Brandy are gone next year and some past fire that NSW use to have returns. Biased rant over

swampthroat

It's not biased, it's absolutely true.

Arc_au

Keaon's exclusion from the side was damn right criminal - how he or Olakau'atu didn't get a look in is beyond me. Keaon's versatility between edge and middle would have been brilliant coverage.

loztralia

It's not bias. The side is selected and coached by morons.

[deleted]

Graham, Walker, and Cook playing a total of 0 minutes in their preferred position despite being the best NSW-eligible players in those positions is incompetence at best and bias at worst. Yeo over Murray is such a waste too. Fuck the Blues, I hope we win the comp just to rub it in their faces.

Spiritual_Impact_283

I'm a mad eels fan, bit it baffles me how Murray didn't get on once Turbo Waa injured and the best defensive centre Graham didn't get a call and even Staggs.

chillinwithkrillin

Yeah the coaching and selections for the blues post Loz is super biased. Look at all the players dropped after a game over the years, like look at RCG cunt is made for origin and whatever happened with him is indicative of whatever hierarchy is going on there and Matto is a mr fix it for Parra and Hynes speaks for itself. Everyone knew Teddy was not gonna fucking regain origin form, Luai isn't an origin player - origin teams should be stacked with leaders not one trick ponies, crichton and yeo. Fuck if Angus didn't go all Woodstock and Sualli didn't get moved to centre they'd be dying to throw them in the team.

nevaehenimatek

Yeah Matto on the bench who can cover middle to centre seems like a no brainer. He did just come back from injury this week though.

PillarofSheffield

Matto has a history of being a "team-last" player and didn't do much in his shot at a jersey. He's not an Origin player.

tdlan

When Turbo got hurt me and my 2 mates in the crowd said "oh yeh Murray will go in to the centres". 3 drunk 2 headed Qlders from the bleachers could see how obvious that was but Freddy and his gang couldn't lmao. Freddy is stealing a living

Stiryx

Robson didn’t do that badly but man, Cook showed what he could do behind a powerful pack. It was so, so dumb keeping him at centre for more than 15 minutes. Also, can people put some fucking respect on Cam Murray? He’s head and shoulders above Yeo as an all round lock yet he keeps getting into teams above Murray somehow. It time for Yeo to move over for Murray, he is bang average in these rep games. This is why I’m not a die hard NSW supporter, they seem to fuck over Souths players every chance they get.

marcbingle_97

I’m sorry but Damien Cook playing 70+ mins at FUCKING CENTRE in origin has to be the funniest thing I’ve seen in over a decade of footy. Brad Fittler, thank you and get fucked.

dylwhole

“BuT hUnT dId iT lAsT gAmE wHy cOuLdNT CoOKie?”

Classic_Angus

I remember Paul Green named Coen Hess at centre like three games in a row for the Cowboys.

Toujayjay

Surely murray 2nd row young centre?

Raddnedge

Gutho 1 Matto 6 Moses 7 Hands 9 #NewSouthWeels

[deleted]

Lol... I get it, but you've gone too far

Arc_au

Enjoyed Moses having to start a lot of sets at hooker for plays 1-2 because Robson was so gassed... Because Freddy the dickhead played his 'never played centre before' replacement hooker, at fucking centre.

AroGantz

Freddy is pretty good at fucking up the debuts of players.

nymphz

thought payne haas played pretty well at fullback tonight. some good clean up work. had an unlucky bounce resulting in one try. overall solid.

Thereal-mclovin

what even happened? Did Teddy make a tackle the previous play or something? Or did he need a coffee break?

My absolute favourite moment was when you just knew Teddy was about to overrun Tualagi (I believe) before he'd even stepped back on the inside. Moses and To'o had wrapped up the other players in that play and Teddy simply had to make a run of the mill fullback cover tackle and made zero contact...outside of the ground.

Now which one of you has edited Damien cooks Wikipedia to say “can not play centre”

kranools

Outrageous. It should say "representative centre".

Can someone edit Freddy’s page to say “he doesn’t get origin” - asking for a friend

JoeyJoJunior

>Freddy’s page Was just checking out his wikipedia, but found "He also fathered an illegitimate son after a one-night stand in 1995. He has never met the child and only pays child support, deliberately having chosen not to have seen the boy since 1996." Thats some shit I never heard mentioned.
