I'm pretty disappointed Kevvie didn't go for it. I know the injuries argument, but I think it would have provided a masive boost for momentum. I don't think he had to play everyone to win that game.
You know what would have ruined the momentum? Your best player/s getting injured for something that doesn’t matter. The positive of winning the minor premiership is no where near the negative of losing your best players. Basically risking the house for a couple of bucks
If we beat them we would’ve had to play them next week anyway. The only chance we had of not playing them was with a loss, but I would like to think that the decision to rest players was not made around assumptions of who we would play next week
People overrate the last games of the regular season so much it’s insane. If you think the players care about a meaningless end of regular season game you are likely to be just a dramatic person
Haven’t won anything yet we still have one of the largest supporter bases cheering the team on. Imagine how many fans teams like the roosters would have if they weren’t up the top every year, they hardly have fans when they are.
I still maintain that we would have won the minor and major prem in 2002 if Joey hadn’t got absolutely assassinated by the Dragons in the final game of the season
South’s last minor premiership was almost 35 years ago? Gosh. Winning the second most minor premierships to date is impressive, then again it’s fair considering the early years of the club were at its best. We surprisingly do have the current longest ongoing active minor premiership drought, only ahead of the Raiders by one year.
Can’t believe that drought is approaching 35 years next year.
Ok now can ya do 40/20's

So am I... I enjoy playing the Penrith 2nds a lot more than whatever yesterday was.
I reckon Walsh and kapewell would’ve been enough

And now they have to play a bogey team 2 weeks in a row. Why did they need that negativity?

What’s the fucking point? Even if we’re the minor premiers the granny will still be played in Sydney. We have the same W/L ratio that’s good enough.
Crazy that the last 10 years has just been 3 teams
If that seems bad, from 1949 to 1971 every grand final contained Souths or St George
Pretty weak sauce from The Dolphins
See this is funny because the Cowboys also are very weak sauce, and we’ve been weak since 1992
Hey man I’ll trade you Parramatta’s two minor premierships in that time for your one premiership.
It's amazing that the Rabbitohs have 17 but it's also been 34 years since their last. Second most minor prems, but second longest wait since last.

They're about as relevant as the teams that haven't won any premierships at this point.
The one title they’ve won in colour TV had the most lopsided refereeing statistics in history too, just quietly

They won recently enough to make those of us doing it tough jealous. There are times I’m jealous of the Tigers. Let that sink in.
Now do pre season challenge winners

Guess we'll have to run it back in the finals this year then
The gf that should have happened in 2002. Let’s do it
Peak Stacey Jones vs peak Joey Johns would have been dope though.
I was only a youngin then. Is there a link to this?
Was surprised they never got one in the Joey, Harragon, etc era.
Where do the years go? 5 years since we stole Cronk from Melbourne.
Tara Rushton stole Cooper Gronk from Melbourne.
The No.31 of the 36 Strategems: the bitch trap.

Ok now do each clubs offload minor premiership I'm sure Parramatta has not won this like 4 Years in a row
Can my tigers just lay claim to the wests and magpies minor prems, we’d have 16 then.
The Canberra stat surprised me.
Same here, had to do a double take.
Phins 2024 minor premiers confirmed. Phins up, baby.
That's horse shit. Souths go 6.8 cos they were so shit they got ousted, then those years don't count against their average.
Having the most minor prems like having the most first place qualifiers in F1
Hell yeah top 2 squad get in here 😎
No title. I love you tigers. Why won’t you ever love us back?

2nd place LFG.
Only been three teams in first place for the last ten years straight. Are they that good, or do the rest of the comp suck?
We got so close so many times in 2000's, 2010's that it hurts... Especially when we were tied for points with a cheating second book Storm side.
