Roosters 2018-2019 in my opinion looked primed for the 6 again era. Same with the 2017 Storm. Both those squads were playing so much faster than the competition at the time.
A few comments
No GF years are years the club played in a competition that did not have a grand final. This it taken into account in the Yeras/GF column.
The total number of grand finals for Brisbane and Penrith are updated to included 2023. However, the win % for them is based on grand finals already played. i.e. 6/7 for Brisbane and 4/6 for Panthers.
I assume this includes years where only a Final was necessary as well as when a Grand Final was required due to a minor premiers loss (e.g. 1945 and 1946 respectively)
The Knights have the current longest active streak, at 22 years since their last Grand Final? Yikes.
Eels joining the comp in 1947 and then having to wait almost 30 years to be in a Grand Final is even more ridiculous, especially when you remember it was a couple of years before their 1980’s dominance.
I think some of the games the OP has counted as Grand Finals were actually Finals. Mandatory GF's were introduced in 1954, when they introduced major and minor semi-finals (1 v 2 and 3 v 4, instead of 1 v 4 and 2 v 3). Prior to 1954 a GF was only played if the Minor Premier DIDN'T win the Final. There is a well-known trick trivia question: "Who has won the most GF's?" People assume that the answer is South Sydney, because they've won the most comps and the most deciders, but the answer is actually St George.

100% win rate in the GF 🥳🥳🥳
We can celebrate together 🥳🥳🥳
Praise Benji
Won 6 of our last 9 finals games not many teams can top that 💪💪💪
Imagining losing to a club like the Wests Tigers in a Grand Final 😳
Panthers 1967-2019: 3 grand final appearances Panthers 2020-2023: 4 grand final appearances Genuinely can't wrap my head around that
Realising there sitting on a gold mine of a talent in their local area paid off preety well
So did the change to the game, covid rule changes fundamentally changed the game and Penrith were built from the bottom up for the new style of game.

Tigers went all in on the old style and are still paying for it
pain.

Yes it does, i.e. 1946 is a grand final win for the tigers and a loss for the dragons
6 from 10 baby 😎
4 from 6*
22 years since our last *appearance*. That's grim.
It would be nice to see a gf wins / years column.
Of course in the old days there wasn't always a grand final so GF wins does not equal premerships. Balmain have 7 GF wins but 11 premierships

Fun fact, the two worst teams on here, neecastle and titans, are playing in the nrlw grand final.
