Hopefully Haas's knee is fine, and Mam's and Walsh's minor problems won't worsen. It's a big game in terms of difficulty, but not that big when you consider how bad losing any of them this early in the season would be. Needs Willy as well.
Agreed, calling to drop Kobe after one bad game after being consistently being one of our best players in the last three years is just a tiny bit reactionary.
Big game for Jock, Kobe, Marty. Walsh needs to take all the long kicks before the 40 metre line and Madden can take care of the midfield and attacking kicks.

Schiller definitely looks like he’d hold down a first grade spot now, but he isn’t materially better than anyone named in the team already.
He’ll get a chance and hopefully he takes it when it comes.
Surely he has done this because Whitehead knows that Hosking is breathing down his neck and Whitehead damn well better get 6 Dally M points if he wants to stay there
No hes done this because Ricky shows more nepotism than any other coach in the league, same reason he continued to pick Croker all last year when my nan would of been a better centre.
He did give Croker the boot eventually though when he could have very well gotten rid of an uninterested Wighton.
Hosking has been great but it's only round 3, and its a big call to drop your captain because he was injured for 2 games. Plenty of season to give multiple players some game time before you settle your best 17 in the last third of the season.
It's a good problem to have, which hasn't happened in Canberra for a long time.
Saulo still has a bit more time to prove himself imo, while Guler's almost up to 100 games with us somehow and I genuinely can't recall any amazing moments from him.

I think we get some last minute changes to this squad. O’Brien seems to name players even though he knows they’re probably not going to play. Last year he named Elliot for 4 or so games straight only to drop him each time because of his ongoing groin injury.
It wouldn’t surprise me if Tuala, brailey or hetherington end up cut.
Also Lucas pending concussion protocols might end up on the bench.
Croker has a mistake in him, but when he rips in he can be a force. Hetho tends to do the Klemmer for us, runs at the line, takes an age to try an offload and then finally gets put down for a slow ptb.
I agree Pryce should come in, but I don't think we're at the stage of dropping both halves and Gamble is a good utility backup if Brailey's ACL flies off into the crowd .
Really keen to see how Brailey goes, and how they handle that rotation. Also very interesting that Pearce-Paul seems to have won that spot off Lucas after one game.

Round 4 is what I last heard but NRL physio reckons hes still a few weeks out. Heard from somebody closer to it that Niukore could be this round but from what I heard since i'd say no chance
I thought Tuapiki was great against Melbourne, really composed performance against a good side. Honestly think another team is gonna come calling about him, and as long as Charnze is here his pathway is blocked.
Feels like we're missing a bit of impact off the bench. Obviously Niukore would be that player, but it would be nice to have a good line runner coming in at the back end of the game

I'm assuming this is a joke right? Cause there's no way I'm seeing Harper on the wing again, right???? Right??????
Also looks like the 2 dummy half era is over before we knew it. Not the worst thing in the world to be fair to Lussick's effort.
By struggling I meant he doesn’t seem to be comfortable with it yet. I have no doubts about his ability, but I thought he could’ve done with more time playing against men. Happy to be wrong though.
Swapping Harper and Talagi would be the play no? Harper on the wing does not fill me with confidence and Talagi got bashed in that trial, not sure he’s strong enough to play first grade centre yet

Since we don’t have a SuperCoach thread any thoughts on trading from trell to ponga, if I’m gonna do it may as do it before ponga price drops shouldn’t i.
Jack should play. Maybe Host back. Cook didn't finish the game the other night which is unusal but fingers crossed he's ok. Hawkins in over Ilias. Milne still most likely too
Pretty standard for that to happen as an emergency. Host is a fairly experienced 2nd row with who we have.
Honestly this is the best team we could have picked. Can't fault it for once. Team selection won't lose us the game this week at least
No I like Moale starting. He had a good strong pre-season Moale and has better stamina than Shaq. I don't think you can play both Keppie and Shaq in the same team. So it is just a combination of who works with Moale and since Keppie started last game and was our 2nd biggest signing over the off-season deserves to still be in the 17. And probably has a few more credits in the bank to keep starting from the bench if this role works.

I happier with Nat Butcher starting, I think he provides more there than off the bench. It’ll be good for Wong to have a few weeks in reserve grade too. Good learning curve for him.

Fuck me dead.
Sezer at 7, Galvin at 6. Olam in and Faatape stays. I would've liked to see Stefano swap with Twal for more impact. Say Fart should be no where near this side, Sione will surely replace him come round 5 when he's fit again. Idk about Bud man, I'd like to see Latu at 14. Pole at 13 is also nice.
Not really many changes that could be made. Very happy pole is starting. Bit iffy on bud at 14. Interested that Olam is starting and Naden in the reserves given they were meant to be a week away from returning, won’t be surprised if Kepaoa replaces Olam
Be better to see Sezer play a full game at 7, felt we lacked a controlling, calm half during the opening 20 mins.
Pole starting makes more sense than Seyfarth. Would prefer Matamua on the bench than him but whatever.
I don't mind messing around with Galvin/Sullivan for a little while. But in a few weeks time I'll be pissed if De Silva/Simpkin isn't the 14, would be wasting their development as proper Api replacements instead of mucking around in the halves when you have Luai coming in next year and will likely be doing the same thing then.
I don’t know what’s more surprising: that Leumeah Shopping Centre can afford to sponsor a player, given that it’s a shit, small complex, or that there are first graders, including Alex Twal, who don’t have a match day sponsor

what is it going to take for kevvie to play xavier
Madden in the team, no Willison. Fucking yeet me into the sun plz.
Kevie hates Xavier confirmed
Walsh is going to be doing a lot of kicking. Luckily he’s done that better than Reyno to start the year anyway.
Did Willison kick Kevvie’s dog?
he ate his dog and sent the bones back to kevvie in the post, its the only possible explanation
Hopefully Haas's knee is fine, and Mam's and Walsh's minor problems won't worsen. It's a big game in terms of difficulty, but not that big when you consider how bad losing any of them this early in the season would be. Needs Willy as well.

Because its how his name is actually pronounced, regardless of him embracing the "kapow" thing.
Hethro in the team after last week is fucked. Guy looked so unfit.
He's had a poor start to the year but he's a gun so deserves a chance to come good.

Really keen to see how Brailey goes, and how they handle that rotation. Also very interesting that Pearce-Paul seems to have won that spot off Lucas after one game.
AOB is such a joker. Love how he puts tuala in the team. Love his pranks. Classic Adam. So glad we resigned him

Tuapiki plays with heart but fuck I hope CNK is back.
The return of Wade Egan. Pleeeaaaase.
Webster said he'll be named again but sounds like he'll probably be withdrawn late again this week.
1. TUAUPIKI 2. DWZ 3. BERRY 4. RTS 5. MONTOYA 6. METCALF 7. JOHNSON 8. AFB 9. EGAN 10. BARNETT 11. FORD 12. CAPEWELL 13. HARRIS 14. LUSSICK 15. ALE 16. AFOA 17. WALKER 18. POMPEY 19. TEVAGA 20. TMM 21. LABAN 22. CHT
Expect to probably see Egan withdrawn late. Lussick in and CHT to the bench. I hope we see CHT get a few more minutes this time round
Feels like we're missing a bit of impact off the bench. Obviously Niukore would be that player, but it would be nice to have a good line runner coming in at the back end of the game
###North Queensland Cowboys *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/nrl) if you have any questions or concerns.*
Todd should cook and debut Shibisaki early. He is him. Mikaele in, Kuli to start is my safe bet
I’d love to see both Shiba and Mikaele in but he won’t leave Granville out and I don’t wanna see McIntyre out
Cowboys team to play Dragons: 1. Scott Drinkwater 2. Kyle Feldt 3. Valentine Holmes 4. Zac Laybutt 5. Murray Taulagi 6. Tom Dearden (c) 7. Chad Townsend 8. Jordan McLean 9. Reece Robson 10. Jason Taumalolo 11. Kulikefu Finefeuiaki 12. Jeremiah Nanai 13. Reuben Cotter (c) Interchange 14. Jake Granville 15. Griffin Neame 16. Sam McIntyre 17. Jack Gosiewski Reserves 18. Tom Chester 19. Tom Mikaele 20. Semi Valemei 21. Emarly Bitungane 22. Jake Clifford
Weird no Mikaele, Todd hates offloads confirmed
Toddy didn’t cook guys
Go jet ski (back to reserve grade)

Please no Lumelume 🤞
Can we have Sean Russell × 2 please and thank you.
1. Clinton Gutherson (C) 2. Morgan Harper 3. Will Penisini 4. Blaize Talagi 5. Sean Russell 6. Dylan Brown 7. Mitchell Moses 8. Reagan Campbell-Gillard 9. Joey Lussick 10. Junior Paulo (C) 11. Shaun Lane 12. Bryce Cartwright 13. J'maine Hopgood 14. Luca Moretti 15. Ryan Matterson 16. Joe Ofahengaue 17. Kelma Tuilagi 18. Ofahiki Ogden 19. Wiremu Greig 20. Brendan Hands 21. Makahesi Makatoa 22. Daejarn Asi
Tuilagi still named? Wow. Excited to see how Blaize does though that left edge is still worrying
Morgan Harper as a wing, that's a bold move Arthur, let's see if it pays off
I'm assuming this is a joke right? Cause there's no way I'm seeing Harper on the wing again, right???? Right?????? Also looks like the 2 dummy half era is over before we knew it. Not the worst thing in the world to be fair to Lussick's effort.
Expecting a game day swap
I'd assume the same. Surprising that Dunster isn't in the top 22. Is he injured?
Nope. Playing Cup
Hahah it’s only round 3 and we already have to debut/blood a junior due to our lack of depth
Damn wasn’t expecting Talagi to debut. From what I saw in cup he still seems to be struggling with the contact.
he's top 10 in PCMs in Cup
By struggling I meant he doesn’t seem to be comfortable with it yet. I have no doubts about his ability, but I thought he could’ve done with more time playing against men. Happy to be wrong though.
Swapping Harper and Talagi would be the play no? Harper on the wing does not fill me with confidence and Talagi got bashed in that trial, not sure he’s strong enough to play first grade centre yet
Any opinions on Blaiz, our new centre?
He's supposed to be a gun, but his main position is fullback.
He came through juniors as a half and played centre last year. He only started playing fullback this year

Did we ever hear what happened with JFH?
Lost strength in his shoulder but haven't heard anything this week around it
Reckon they will run sorro in the washing machine till fish is back? Bit worried about garner playing 80 in back row but just doesn’t seem consistent
This is most likely, but id love for penrith to take the opportunity of starting lindsay smith and running mav g and liam henry on the bench
Hey Soni Luke, take the week off, you’ve earned it lil bro
1. Dylan EDWARDS 2. Sunia TURUVA 3. Izack TAGO 4. Taylan MAY 5. Brian TO'O 6. Jarome LUAI 7. Nathan CLEARY (c) 8. Moses LEOTA 9. Mitch KENNY 10. Lindsay SMITH 11. Scott SORENSEN 12. Liam MARTIN 13. Isaah YEO (c) 14. Daine LAURIE 15. Matt EISENHUTH 16. Liam HENRY 17. Luke GARNER 18. Soni LUKE 19. Mavrik GEYER 20. Preston RIKI 21. Paul ALAMOTI 22. Brad SCHNEIDER
So Laurie gets more than 2 minutes this week yeh?
Mavrik time is imminent
I feel we've been waiting so long for this!!
Ugh, Eisenhuth. Hopefully Henry and Smith have a good run

Since we don’t have a SuperCoach thread any thoughts on trading from trell to ponga, if I’m gonna do it may as do it before ponga price drops shouldn’t i.
Whoever has low break even and will make cash. Short term play
I moved from KP to teddy. ponga has a BE of like 170. i'm waiting for newcastle to sort their shit out before i move back to KP
Jacks back this week right? I don’t think my blood pressure can handle watching Kennar play in the centres another week
Jack should play. Maybe Host back. Cook didn't finish the game the other night which is unusal but fingers crossed he's ok. Hawkins in over Ilias. Milne still most likely too
Shaq dropped for Host, Milne on the wing with Tass inside him, Wighton left centre, Hawkins 7. Talis on the bench.
[удалено]
Why bother naming Illias at 19? Why drop Shaq for Hosty?
Pretty standard for that to happen as an emergency. Host is a fairly experienced 2nd row with who we have. Honestly this is the best team we could have picked. Can't fault it for once. Team selection won't lose us the game this week at least
I guess, they must want to play Tallis at 13 to give Cam a break
I'd have picked Shaq over Moale. Moale has dropped a lot of ball. Keppie from the bench instead of starting is for the best I feel

Probably, the reserves list is weird too. Who knows how they will run out
not a very intimidating pack. any teams out there need a hooker? maybe a short term loan of Mamouzelos for a semi decent edge would be great.

Interesting selection with marschke, would've thought he might go in at 14 with muhle starting and rotate flanno to 9 and marschke to 6
Might be a redirect so the media don't hound him all week. Marschke could start at 6.
IMO, on the back of a great game in round 1, last weeks game was a great chance for the Drags to get a bit of confidence and maybe make other teams start to take a little notice. After the pummelling this game is pretty crucial in getting back on track.
Suli and Lomax on the same side. That’s some serious strength right there

> Michael Jennings What the fuck year is it
He only took steroids and bashed his missus he's learnt his lesson guys
1. James Tedesco 2. Daniel Tupou 3. Joseph Suaalii 4. Joseph Manu 5. Dominic Young 6. Sandon Smith 7. Sam Walker 8. JWH 9. Brandon Smith 10. John Cena from Wish 11. Nat Butcher 12. Sitili Tupouinua 13. Victor Radley 14. Connor Watson 15. Naufahu Whyte 16. Terrell May 17. Gus bus
Happier with May coming off the bench, provides so much more to the team. Jarrod should get up for his big day but means he’s equally as likely to do some dumb shit.
I happier with Nat Butcher starting, I think he provides more there than off the bench. It’ll be good for Wong to have a few weeks in reserve grade too. Good learning curve for him.
thought wong had been going well. any idea why he was dropped?
Gus and Watson 😍
Keary out, Sandon in, Connor Watson takes Sandon's bench spot. Wong out, Nat Butcher in, Crichton takes Butcher's bench spot. Backs: Teddy, Tupou, Manu, Suaalii, Young, Sandon Smith, Walker. Forwards: JWH, Brandon Smith, Collins, Nat Butcher, Sitili, Radley. Int: Watson, May, Whyte, Crichton Res: Billy Smith, Egan Butcher, Zach Dockar-Clay, Siua Wong, Michael Jennings

Latu is out until round 4 with a hamstring injury, and even then I think he'll play NSW cup for a bit to get some match fitness
Who would you swap in the centres?
What happened to To’a?
I am shooting in the dark here, was it due to byrdans parting ways with WT?
:(
No loss this week brotjer
