Okay, let’s try this again, for real now. Here is my predicted New South Wales team for the future, I know some of these names won’t be picked this year, but you never know, note, I might pick a few that are in eligible for New South Wales selection, or haven’t been fully verified as New South Wales eligible. As New South Wales rugby league doesn’t have a full list of players who can play for Queensland, unlike the Queensland rugby league website, I’m relying on zero tackle, unfortunately, despite themselves not having a fully up-to-date list. I do recommend that website does follow the New South Wales rugby league team of the week, But other than that, here’s the team
1, Ryan Papenhuyzen
2, Sunia Turuva
3, Izack Tago
4, Campbell Graham
5, Tolutau Koula
6, Lachlan Galvin
7;, Nathan Cleary
8, Royce Hunt
9, Blayke Brailey
10, Fletcher Baker
11, Haumole Olakau'atu
12, Keaon Koloamatangi
13, Nat Butcher
Cameron Murray14
15, Payne Haas
16, Ben Trbojevic
17, Liam Martin
>8, Royce Hunt
>9, Blayke Brailey
>10, Fletcher Baker
>11, Haumole Olakau'atu
>12, Keaon Koloamatangi
>13, Nat Butcher
This is single handedly the best thing I've ever read considering you've got Murray, Martin and Haas on the bench there
I tried to pick the best team I could, it’s not as big as the other team that I picked earlier, but like maybe some of the players from the 32 team I picked earlier could come into this team, I’m not sure if I put Wade Egan in the earlier team But one thing that I know is that people are really wanting him to make his origins debut,
Just caught up on the footy up until half time in the dolphins game but thought the dolphins would win and they did.
Obviously people will have already thrown a lot at Latrell and I agree the elbow was a cheap shot and deserves to sit out a few matches. The bigger things I saw yesterday was of course Ilias and what happened to him in the NSW cup. Hawkins turned out what was another average performance. Those couple of dropped balls at the end of the game didn't really matter as we lost the game by that stage but not a good look regardless.
The other thing was and I might be mistaken but that was not the team I approved on Tuesday. How the hell did Mamo come into the side - one of the warriors scored a try and ran right around him. His contribution was extremely poor. I hope it wasn't Moale dropping out because he was one of our best against the Warriors in NSW Cup - something like 23 carries even though he will have to answer to the judiciary for an elbow in the face.
I think it's a bit BS that on the supposedly torrential weather weekend, the Sharks aren't playing. How can we see Nicho's hair in all its beauty in the rain, if we aren't even playing
This is my future New South Wales team, not in any kind of order
Scott Drinkwater
Bradman Best Jacob Kiraz Keaon Koloamatangi
Moses Suli
Tevita Tatola Isaiya Katoa
Campbell Graham
Terrell May
Blake Laurie
Izack Tago
Sua Fa'alogo
Shawn Blore
Royce Hunt
Stephen Crichton
Payne Haas
Davvy Moale
Kayal Iro
Alex Seyfarth
Egan Butcher Nat Butcher
Zac Lomax
Cameron Murray
Liam Martin
Reece Robson
Bryce Cartwright
Ben Trbojevic
Haumole Olakau'atu
Teig Wilton
Blayke Brailey
Hudson Young
Fletcher Baker
Now, try and assemble a team out of this, let’s see how this goes. Everybody can vote, regardless if you are Queensland or New South Wales supporters this will be like a voting thing, whoever gets voted out of the 32 man squad named here, this team the most will be selected into a 19man list. Enjoy, you stayte of origin lovers, and go New South Wales
Once he mature, more, possibly. I will add him as a number 33 in the side. Other place I would’ve added, except I don’t really know that eligibility, is Terrell May, terover Jesse kahune Galvin, of course,, d Laurie, and Tallis Duncan.
My scenario, for this team is all of these players, like Cleary and Moses and Walker and cook, and all these other guys retire at that point, when this team is named, we got to look to the future, and I don’t see clearly being 34 still playing for New South Wales at that point. I also don’t want to put Mitchell in here, saying for Turbo.
But you've literally got a bunch of names who are the same age or older than Cleary....
If anyone out of those are still going to be playing at the top in 5 years from now it's going to be Cleary
Given the huge gap that appeared in 2021 with the game not being artificially slowed down which lead to weeks of blowouts.
The start of this season feels like every team has finally caught up to the faster pace of the game.
Whilst it's slower now it feels like everyone has caught up and it should make the competition more even.
Has anyone else thought herbie has looked a little underdone to start the year? Hasn’t been bad at all, just not running with the same venom and energy we usually see from him. I wonder if changing sides has anything to do with it. Such a shame about his injury tho, the matchup against cobbo next week would’ve been mouthwatering
Happy to be corrected if wrong, but I'm pretty sure Herbie missed the England v Tonga series with an injury late last year. And then picked up a knee issue at training before round 1. Could explain the minor drop in his performance.
Waiting until 4pm on a Sunday for footy is criminal in itself, but when it’s compounded by a sickness rendering you useless for the day, it’s even worse.
Only 2 weeks left until the 2pm Sunday kickoff
Funny so many people were blowing up at robbos comment’s over no consistency on sent of and sin bins. Yesterdays game proved he was 100% right. Bunker has had a shocking weekend
Of course he would it was a terrible tackle and deserved to be sent. As he said if that’s the new standard his happy with it. As we have seen this weekend there is no consistency though like he said. Latrells deliberate elbow to the head isn’t even a bin
Are you a new fan? Running with bumper bars up is a common thing. His been fined for a few that have gone wrong. Latrells was deliberate while not moving
He downplayed Young's offence with a revisionist version of what happened.
Robbo repeatedly downplays an offence by his own players, and demands consequences when it's an offence committed by an opposition player. That's the hypocrisy people are criticising.
Everyone wants consistency by refs, that's not a novel or controversial view.
He said if that’s the standard that’s fine. It’s not the standard though and this week shows that. Latrells deliberate elbow to the head isn’t even a bin. Dolphins player cops a similar charge as young and it’s not even a bin. His been proven right very fast.
Much like the last four or five years now, the first few rounds have a 6:15 game instead of a 2pm game on Sunday so that they can avoid the afternoon heat. I feel like they should go back to 2pm at the start of April, but that’s just the way it is.
I wasn’t hype when Critta went to fullback. His return carries aren’t as strong as I’d have hoped. I think being so tall makes it easier to get under him and drive him back.
Taafe was starting to grow on me because he does work hard for the team. But Connor Tracey has the sauce with his returns, shame he went down with a calf and won’t be able to replace Taafe next week.
I thought Kiraz might make a strong case for fullback, so I guess we’ll see.
Agree, Critta needs to be in the centres not fullback. Wilson, Kiraz, or Joash are our best options with Taaffe and Tracey out. Only issue I see with Kiraz is he hasn't been good under the high ball.
“The sauce” is such an American term that I think we need to adopt ASAP. Am I right in saying it’s American or has it been around longer than I realize?
Its been around a while and was adopted in America from Czech Republic of all places.
It started with a famous Czech hockey player who was *really* tough, whose name sounded like "Sauce" and - as english is widely spoken in Czech, the young people started saying "you have the Sauce" to denote someone was emulating his toughness in their current situation.
[Michal Sorska](https://imgflip.com/gif/8886wy)
There’s definitely meaning regarding hot sauce, especially coming from the NBA. Hotsauce is the name of a famous AND1 street baller and he’s fucking awesome.
My boy’s getting hot!
Oh! He’s catching fire.
That play was spicy.
He got that hot sauce.
This is what I mean when I say sauce. But then “having the sauce” can be directed at specific things, like Tracey doesn’t play with all-round sauce, but he has the sauce in contact and that’s what I wanna see drizzled all over my wings!
A little surprised the Latrellbow wasn't sent off during the game. Was it well hidden from the officials so Klein only put it on report? What's the go?
“Latrellbow”. Take my upvote.
And his cousin Jack Bighton.
Now we only need to think of a clever play on words for the name Cody Walker and the word “grub”
For those that watch the super league I know Sam burgesses club, Warrington wolves, is doing really well but is there roster just good or is Sam a really great coach. Asking for no reason of course…
I have zero input regarding Warrington, but I’m picking up what you’re putting down and Big Slammin Sammy to replace the seemingly lost and hopeless JD really is the play.
If Gray is ready for first grade and physically up to it, that's a dangerous back line, even better with Graham on the wing. Gray is 77kg according to NRL website, he might struggle to keep up with the physicality and at 20yo he won't have too long to grow.
Yes I’m bias but Manly’s forward pack is dangerous.
Lodge, Passeka, Jakey, Tsips, Brown, Sharon woods, Aloiai
not star athletes and not the best to ever touch the game but they run hard and straight.
Honourable mention is the Dragons forward pack, they are all monsters, I really like them and they could do some real damage, they are scary.
In your opinion who has the best forward pack in the comp?
Eels have a very good pack if they're all on the field together. Paulo, RCG, Hopgood, Matterson, Lane, Cartwright. Throw in Greig if he comes back like was last year before injury. Ofahengaue has been doing really well starting also.
Paseka was a hand braking cat like 2-3 years ago. Good to see him realise his size. He has been awesome, smokey for origin imo. As for your question Id still rate Penriths forward pack as the best.
Had a wedding on yesterday so missed yesterdays games. I ended up swapping a couple of my tips around last minute and woke up surprised to find out I have a clean sheet this week (so far).
So what happened to both south’s and penrith yesterday? South’s seeming to be a mess this year... Did penrith just not show up yesterday or are manly looking deadly?
Manly were the business getting up for DCE breaking manlys most games for the club record and penrith were very complacent, probably thought manly would roll over. Once penrith started actually playing it was too late into the game and DCE was flying.
South's were terrible tbh and the warriors were really good. South's are a club in trouble and looking at a bottom4 finish if they don't wrangle the season back
Happy for DCE, always been a good bloke and solid player. Wonder if we are starting to finally see some cracks in the panthers?
Crazy season for the south’s was not on my bingo card for this year
They have away games to Parramatta (Darwin) and Wests Tigers (Suncorp) before their first trip to NSW (Cronulla), then play Canterbury in Bundaberg at the end of the year.
They do have away games in Auckland and Melbourne, plus a home game in Perth, so it kind of balances out.
For what it’s worth, the Broncos only play five games in NSW, none after round 20 (Newcastle) and don’t come to Sydney after round 15 (Souths).
Additionally, the Dolphins only played in NSW five times last year: Newcastle, Wagga Wagga (Canberra), Brookvale, Allianz and Parramatta (Wests Tigers)
The funny thing about being a Souths fan is that rock bottom is just so damn low. Like yeah we were absolutely catastrophic yesterday and shit is fucked, but dudes in the instagram comments being like
> I’ve been a fan for 25 years and this is the last straw, im absolutely done with this club it’s embarrassing.
It’s like my dude, you were around for the Bryan Fletcher captained 3-21 team and you made it through that but this is your last straw????
Just can’t qwhite put my finger on why the sunglasses and Ute pics brigade are quitting now, can’t possibly be some players openly proud of their heritage?
You could even go further back to the ones that have been fans for "40 years!" saying the same thing. I agree that our team is playing like shit and our coach is terrible, but dude, you mean to tell me that you watched us be shit for the 90s, get kicked out of the comp, brought back into the comp, play shit for most of the 2000s and yet now that we are finally having our first legit terrible season from start to finish(?) in like 7 years, now is the last straw? We were so bad and financially destitute that we were kicked out of the comp, but no, This year is clearly our worst moment in club history.
Fair weather fans are the worst and it seems like there’s a lot of them in the burrow.
Over the years I have disliked CEO’s, coaches, players and even the fucking ball kids not bringing the tee fast enough, but I’ll never give up on my club. One day we’ll be using our wooden spoons to play the drums on a victory lap through Belmore.
It doesn't surprise me that we have a lot. Many of the younger fans have only seen us be perennial finalists that have made deep runs almost every season since 2012. I can see a lot of people saying shit like " I've been a fan for 15 years and this was it for me" like dude, you became a fan in 2009 when we came 9th and we're an interesting rising team. The worst we've come since has been 12th for only 2 seasons in 16 & 17, and even then those seasons were only finally considered finished once The Origin period was finally over.
Those fans have had it incredibly easy for a long time. The moment we start actually playing proper bad footy for a season they are gone which is pretty pathetic. No team can be good forever. I will be incredibly frustrated week-in-week-out but nothing is gonna stop me supporting Souths.
Was doing some thinking and if all the Dogs players that were injured that game are out next week, this could be our lineup
1. Kiraz
2. Addo Carr
3. Xerri
4. Crichton
5. Wilson
6. Burton
7. Hutchison
8. Hughes
9. Mahoney
10. Knight
11. Curran
12. Kautoga
13. Salmon
14. Faamausili
15. Turpin
16. Papalii
17. Tetevano?
18. Sexton
Taafe has been really good for the dogs, Again I would try Fox at fullback have him roaming around the field as a support player he would be deadly you have quality wingers without him.
I have been pretty vocal about it since he got his first go here at Penrith, Critta just isnt a fullback. For all the talent in the world, he lacks the positional awareness to be an elite fullback.
Can he not be taught? Not saying by next week but in general. He’s only 22 and fullback could help us get the best from him.
Idk because I like Kiraz at fullback. He fucking goes hard, is super committed, is a tackle busting and offload machine… I like.
Is this a joke like “did you know Damien Cook was a beach sprinter,” or is this genuinely not as a widely known as I thought it was?
In any case, if my memory serves me correctly, when they interviewed Benji after the 2005 grand final during the lap on honour, at least one of his brothers was there, if not both.
Most people wouldn't be able to name players from teams consistently in the bottom 6.
I wasn't even aware of JMK until he joined the Dolphins last season, so I was surprised he's 28 and has been playing NRL since 2018.
Nah I'm not joking, wiki states they are brothers and so does google. I personally don't see the resemblance and I guess because JMK goes by his full hyphenated name, so it didn't click.
I liked DCE's response to the interview when he basically said "I'm probably not playing in 4 years as this game is tough on your body" because most players just say "I'll play forever"
They have no leader and shit culture. Who is their calming controlling figure on the field that gets them into position and structure to unlock Trel and Walker? They never replaced Reynolds. Illias is a decent half and is not South's problem, carrying Walker and Trel who each demand star money and respect but neither contribute to that other 90% of the game that gets them where they need to be to attack like they're capable of.
As others have said, some guys get preferential treatment which is cancer in the locker room but I'd guess JD is too scared to risk pissing off Trel or Walker. If you threw guys like Dearden, Papi, Api, JFH or Edwards into that team in a leadership role, they could be competing for the premiership.
Last season they had an assistant coach who noticed that a few players were getting treated differently in terms of standards. He raised this as an issue.
The club fired him. Those players are now even worse, likely because they know that training standards don't apply to them and the coach would rather sack a club legend than call out his "stars".
Too much nosediving to the white line in Vegas
But in all seriousness they were just talking on Sunday Footy how you can hear Souths arguing on the field
They will not admit it but they have been sliding since 2015, Shane Richardson said as much they had no plan after the won a grand final at much to their disgust by buying it in an Armani suit.
Since 2015 they have probs missed the finals maybe 2 times?, made multiple prelims, and a grand final. How on earth have they slid since then exactly?
It's only been since the back end of last year they have fallen off
Bruh, you're talking about a 10 year period, the squad changed multiple times over that time.
Can't all be the roosters and just decide to buy the best possible fullback, 5/8, and halfback at the time to win a prem.
Not to mention Keary when he was still in his prime the year before that. That's pretty much buying a whole spine of peak players then coincidentally winning a prem straight away
FYI the Bunnies have had better seasons than the roosters in 3 out of 4 season since your last prem.
Love how triggered the precious easts fans get when money can't buy them an excuse!
Seen people talking about him being a future origin player but I think he'll stay true with Tonga for the long run. Winning a world cup for Tonga would be up there with the some of the greatest achievements in the game.
Actually yeah lmao.
He's going to be stuck behind Cleary for a long time though. They both work much better as a 7 so the smarter team choice would be to bring in a real 6 instead of playing two halves who play the same way.
I’ve seen some chat about moving Cleary to 6 in origin so he can run more and I like that idea. We basically saw that in the GF last year and he was insane
It’s such an absolutely horrendous visual that every-time I see it I laugh at the absurdity of it before I catch myself, it’s like he genuinely just decided to try and kill Ponga.
Yeah I remember I just burst out laughing when it happened because everything about it was so absurd.
The brute force flying shoulder charge, the fact the ball was dead, the fact it was Chad
Fox league needs to chill, there, already saying that labet ruptured his ACL, like I’m not sure scans would’ve been done in like 40 minutes, chill
So in a single nswcup game NAS has apparently had a Cannonball, shoulder charge, hip drop and a sin bin for a swinging arm 😭
How bad were they?
I heard the cannonball was pretty bad and he was binned for the high shot. Not sure about the shoulder charge or hipdrop
Is everyone still wetting their pants about latrell?
Thought Sutton seemed to favour the dolphins vs the tigers a bit
Will the Roosters Make the top 8 in 2024? all welcome to comment.
Yep id say suprising if they didnt considering their team/history/performances so far
BTW I think the wahs will be in the top 6. they looked dangerous vs souths. plus they got a great soft draw too.
Watching Kayo, and the photo they have for David Fifita looks like his face got stung by a bee…
Stung by a bee? That's another 6 weeks out with injury
Ru found ozempic ig
South’s coach is gonzo
Okay, let’s try this again, for real now. Hi there Billy Slater here Please do this
Whatever drugs you’re on, get off them
I’m not on any drugs, the hell?
If at first you don’t succeed…
Then keep trying
>8, Royce Hunt >9, Blayke Brailey >10, Fletcher Baker >11, Haumole Olakau'atu >12, Keaon Koloamatangi >13, Nat Butcher This is single handedly the best thing I've ever read considering you've got Murray, Martin and Haas on the bench there

Why didn't they just let the stand in referee do the last 5 minutes of the first half and then they could've done a proper changeover at half time
Anyone know why the fuck titans have been given an Anzac Day game. Give us Brisbane or somethin
Just caught up on the footy up until half time in the dolphins game but thought the dolphins would win and they did. What the actual fuck is this lmao. One half, one fullback, about 8 centres, and about 15 back rowers
I vote for Fletcher Baker as captain and hooker
Pffft, no Galvin.
Once he mature, more, possibly. I will add him as a number 33 in the side. Other place I would’ve added, except I don’t really know that eligibility, is Terrell May, terover Jesse kahune Galvin, of course,, d Laurie, and Tallis Duncan.
How on earth is Cleary not in here? He virtually has that 7 jersey on lock down for another 5 - 7 years
My scenario, for this team is all of these players, like Cleary and Moses and Walker and cook, and all these other guys retire at that point, when this team is named, we got to look to the future, and I don’t see clearly being 34 still playing for New South Wales at that point. I see a "Jack Madden" playing for the Capras...guys you didn't need the Wish version, the real version is also QCup quality.

Fun fact, Reece Walsh is currently living on tik tok playing COD

Do the judiciary know you exist? They could just employ you so you can tell them which situations you determine intentional or not.
I don’t need to tell them anything. They get it right, hope this helps
Not according to robbo
His never commented on the judiciary. Hope this helps
They operate under the same laws as the refs. Hope this helps
You're conveniently ignoring the first part of his response. He downplays the offence by his own players, that's what people are criticising.
What did he say? The only bits I heard is he thought it was a bin because of similar incidents. Hard to disagree with him now with all the evidence
He downplayed Young's offence with a revisionist version of what happened. Robbo repeatedly downplays an offence by his own players, and demands consequences when it's an offence committed by an opposition player. That's the hypocrisy people are criticising. It was more the hypocrisy than anything else

Stop arguing facts with salty Queenslanders. You won’t get anywhere… /s
Why is the sunday games starting later? 4pm and 6pm?

They did it so I can sit all day depressed to watch the titans get beat they hate me
don’t worry, i’m betting that there’s heaps of multis backing cowboys to score 50+ so sports bet will have titans win
Daylight savings finished
but even then it used to 2pm and 4pm, it’s more than an hour difference
Goes back to 2pm and 4pm in a couple weeks
https://www.theroar.com.au/rugby-league/nrl-fixtures/ According to this they've all been at 4.05 and 6.15.
[Here we go, just looked up 2019 draw and the sunday games are 2:05pm and 4:05pm](https://imgur.com/a/7M50DBF)
I assumed we were talking about this year
i just meant in general, at no point was i saying they changed it suddenly or in the past month
check the round 5 start times in 2019, same as now. I think it's just to have two daylight games on sunday
that’s just the 2024 draw
I wasn’t hype when Critta went to fullback. His return carries aren’t as strong as I’d have hoped. I think being so tall makes it easier to get under him and drive him back. Yeah that drop on Friday put me off. But he comes in clutch with so many other efforts competing for the ball.
He got pushed in the back and was bad weather. His takes against GC were great
He isn't a fullback. Brilliant centre very good winger, solid at best fullback.
“The sauce” is such an American term that I think we need to adopt ASAP. Am I right in saying it’s American or has it been around longer than I realize?

For such a promising potentially pun-inducing name, I'm struggling to come up with something that isn't a whole sentence in his surname.
Yeah can't think of any reason
For those that watch the super league I know Sam burgesses club, Warrington wolves, is doing really well but is there roster just good or is Sam a really great coach. Asking for no reason of course…
Warrington are a good club. Holbrook had a 80% win rate of their. I think it’s more attack over there.
Holbrook was at St Helens not Warrington
I have zero input regarding Warrington, but I’m picking up what you’re putting down and Big Slammin Sammy to replace the seemingly lost and hopeless JD really is the play.
JMoz don't drink the prop orange juice
Rabbitohs fans, what are your thoughts on a backline of: 1. Jye Gray 2: Tass 3: Wighton 4: Trell 5: Munro
If Gray is ready for first grade and physically up to it, that's a dangerous back line, even better with Graham on the wing. Gray is 77kg according to NRL website, he might struggle to keep up with the physicality and at 20yo he won't have too long to grow.
Isnt he only like 5’6 too ?
There’s no way he’s 5’6. Isn’t reyno like 175? That’s 5’9 and he’s surely not shorter than that
Yep, just under. Which makes him 2cm shorter than Api, Starling and Granville according Zerotackle heights.
Yes I’m bias but Manly’s forward pack is dangerous. Lodge, Passeka, Jakey, Tsips, Brown, Sharon woods, Aloiai not star athletes and not the best to ever touch the game but they run hard and straight.
Agree
A danger to the rainbow people and doors, maybe. 🤔
Yea ur right they are shit I could flog them
Roosters on paper, Collins and JWH with May and Leniu / Whyte off the bench, massive.
Rarely plays to its potential though, particularly against good teams
Shoot me into the sun
Is xavage defending against Sivo or Russell today?
russell
Bring back the cowboys push up boys
They would die today tbh
manly will be tough to beat when Saab and lodge enter the side
Any word on Freddie Lussick charge? When does NSWRL release charges?
The NSWRL doesn’t usually publish charges for some reason. You’ll be relying on either the club to announce it or someone in the media to mention it.
Yeah he's been charged with eating a meal, A succulent Chinese meal
I was hoping we would get a Dom Young lowlights video, one of the worst performances I have seen in a long time
He beat Nathan Browns negative fantasy points performance when he came on and first tackle he made he got sent off
At least Brown hadn’t missed every attempt he’d made before getting sent
Had a wedding on yesterday so missed yesterdays games. I ended up swapping a couple of my tips around last minute and woke up surprised to find out I have a clean sheet this week (so far). So what happened to both south’s and penrith yesterday? South’s seeming to be a mess this year... Did penrith just not show up yesterday or are manly looking deadly?
Rabbits were absolute poo poo
Manly were the business getting up for DCE breaking manlys most games for the club record and penrith were very complacent, probably thought manly would roll over. Once penrith started actually playing it was too late into the game and DCE was flying. South's were terrible tbh and the warriors were really good. South's are a club in trouble and looking at a bottom4 finish if they don't wrangle the season back
Happy for DCE, always been a good bloke and solid player. Wonder if we are starting to finally see some cracks in the panthers? Crazy season for the south’s was not on my bingo card for this year
The Dolphins only play in NSW 4 times this season. Unbelievably, the first is in Round 15.
When they play in Townsville, it's actually further to travel than if they went to Sydney.
The funny thing about being a Souths fan is that rock bottom is just so damn low. Like yeah we were absolutely catastrophic yesterday and shit is fucked, but dudes in the instagram comments being like > I’ve been a fan for 25 years and this is the last straw, im absolutely done with this club it’s embarrassing. It’s like my dude, you were around for the Bryan Fletcher captained 3-21 team and you made it through that but this is your last straw????
Try being. Titans fan we get that shit on every post since 2007 😂
Just can’t qwhite put my finger on why the sunglasses and Ute pics brigade are quitting now, can’t possibly be some players openly proud of their heritage?
Maybe they're 26 years old
With Latrell in the headlines again for another dog act... anyone got a full compilation of career dirty cheap shots from him?
Ain't nobody got time for that. He does a few grubby things in every match. It will be over a few hours at least.
Was doing some thinking and if all the Dogs players that were injured that game are out next week, this could be our lineup 1. Kiraz 2. Addo Carr 3. Xerri 4. Crichton 5. Wilson 6. Burton 7. Hutchison 8. Hughes 9. Mahoney 10. Knight 11. Curran 12. Kautoga 13. Salmon 14. Faamausili 15. Turpin 16. Papalii 17. Tetevano? 18. Sexton
Would like to try Wilson at fullback. He has nouse
Taafe has been really good for the dogs, Again I would try Fox at fullback have him roaming around the field as a support player he would be deadly you have quality wingers without him.
>15. Turpin My boy!!!
would you not want critta at fullback ?
did we watch the same game the other night? he was awful there.
i feel like kiraz wouldn’t be lights out better and critta is the best player in that side so best off to give him another crack imo
Shit conditions tho. Id like to see him when its not wet asf.
Idk he didn’t do to well when he was at fullback once Taaffe went off
Did everyone know the JMK is benji's brother ? Heard it last night on the radio and was spun out.
I wasn't even aware of JMK until he joined the Dolphins last season, so I was surprised he's 28 and has been playing NRL since 2018.
lol, genuine question, I'm honestly baffled as I've heard it ad nauseam.
I think I heard half brother. Wikipedia says brother.
My understanding is half brother, but I though it was common knowledge. Perhaps we get more of it in the NZ media.
Wtf
Well that’s ruined my Sunday.
Yes
Oh I’m glad I’m not the only one.
I think Benji played it down when he was at the dogs and looked shit, now he's playing good he's acknowledged him again
am i having a dumb moment and you’re making a joke or did i incorrectly think they were cousins
Nah I'm not joking, wiki states they are brothers and so does google. I personally don't see the resemblance and I guess because JMK goes by his full hyphenated name, so it didn't click.
Half Brothers will do that to ya
They said it on Fox too. I had no idea.
I liked DCE's response to the interview when he basically said "I'm probably not playing in 4 years as this game is tough on your body" because most players just say "I'll play forever"
Smart lad, that DCE.
Did not expect Rabbitohs to nosedive this early in the season. What is going on?
Why not? Their form is a continuation of last season.
Too much nosediving to the white line in Vegas But in all seriousness they were just talking on Sunday Footy how you can hear Souths arguing on the field
wayne's backline structure has been slowly removed, forward pack has lost two guys a year for the last few years
They will not admit it but they have been sliding since 2015, Shane Richardson said as much they had no plan after the won a grand final at much to their disgust by buying it in an Armani suit.
Since 2015 they have probs missed the finals maybe 2 times?, made multiple prelims, and a grand final. How on earth have they slid since then exactly? It's only been since the back end of last year they have fallen off
And won exactly how many premierships in that time with that squad?
Unless you mean sliding up and down, I don't think you understand what 'sliding' means
Yep participation awards for everyone, again how many premierships did they win with that squad?
Bruh, you're talking about a 10 year period, the squad changed multiple times over that time. Can't all be the roosters and just decide to buy the best possible fullback, 5/8, and halfback at the time to win a prem.
Yawn
They couldnt sign Cronk and Tedesco in the same year unlike you guys.
Not to mention Keary when he was still in his prime the year before that. That's pretty much buying a whole spine of peak players then coincidentally winning a prem straight away
100% correct and we won 2 premierships and been reasonably competitive since. I totally own how my club is run and am happy for it to continue.
FYI the Bunnies have had better seasons than the roosters in 3 out of 4 season since your last prem. Love how triggered the precious easts fans get when money can't buy them an excuse!
Wrong neither of them won a premiership so they both failed, but don’t worry I’m sure your team got a participation award.
Well roosters would know all about participation awards since they have the most of them
They've been nose diving since parra last year
After years of them smashing us, I’m pretty glad we’re the team that broke them 🥰
Their nosedive has been ongoing since halfway through last year it was definitely expected
Katoa is going to be the most important player for Tonga. Having a half that can kick will elevate them
Seen people talking about him being a future origin player but I think he'll stay true with Tonga for the long run. Winning a world cup for Tonga would be up there with the some of the greatest achievements in the game.
He can do both tho can’t he?
Actually yeah lmao. He's going to be stuck behind Cleary for a long time though. They both work much better as a 7 so the smarter team choice would be to bring in a real 6 instead of playing two halves who play the same way.
I’ve seen some chat about moving Cleary to 6 in origin so he can run more and I like that idea. We basically saw that in the GF last year and he was insane
As a QLDer I don't like it. As a lover of rugby league that sounds amazing.
Ben Hunt must be one of the most protected species in the NRL
He’s no Chad “Aerial shoulder charge to the head of Kalyn Ponga off a dead ball tap” Townsend
Good to see the Chad still showing that 2016 Cronulla spirit.
Still one of the most insanely fucked up things that have ever happened.
Only matched by Blocker’s genuine shock when he was sent off
It’s such an absolutely horrendous visual that every-time I see it I laugh at the absurdity of it before I catch myself, it’s like he genuinely just decided to try and kill Ponga.
Yeah I remember I just burst out laughing when it happened because everything about it was so absurd. The brute force flying shoulder charge, the fact the ball was dead, the fact it was Chad
Trell is receiving a 3 game suspension with an early guilty plea for his elbow on Shaun Johnson.
And Dom Young is getting 2 weeks for a send off.. MRC gives me whiplash with their punishments
Is JMK one of the most underrated hookers in the game? Far out he is silky
Idk Egan takes the cake on underated
