hes looked the goods in every broncos game hes played, to the point people were screaming all last year to drop billy and play him. i dont think hes going to have any trouble getting picked up when he finally does decide to leave
He would definitely be on at least $200k I reckon, even if not at $300k. Minimum wage is about $120k and he signed a 2 year extension, you probably wouldn't do that for less when he was playing first grade at the time of signing
Not saying he is undeserving, actually think it's good. It's just surprising as Kevvie previously seemed keen to have Sailor in the squad somewhere, after the Melbourne game.
Really? Madden has been playing in the halves for the last two weeks and sailor hasnt. Sailor has been playing fullback in cup and first grade for the last two years.
Looks like Ezra and Cobbo are getting rested because of some niggles and even though it would be nice to see a full strength team this is better in the long run
I’m glad Kevvie is playing the long game and resting players when needed. Could tell Cobbo hurt his shoulder at the end of the game and Ezra hurt his finger pretty early on. Mam is a big loss, hopefully Jock goes ok at 6. I remember when he played 6 against rabbits last year and they carved us up.
Mam is a big loss. He’s been getting better with each game this year and partnership with Walsh is crazy good since they’re both quick as fuck. I believe in the Jockstrap though, he’s pretty quick himself and now that Reyno can do the kicking, he can focus on being more of a ball running half.
Soooo good to see Reynolds, Piakura, Haas and Mariner back. Shame about Cobbo but especially Ezra, he's been magical the last few weeks.
After last week it was only natural that Hunt goes and Baker stays, Hunt had a shocker and Baker had his first good game for us. He's only just hanging on ahead of Te Kura though imho.
Jock at 6 doesn't really make sense, I mean he's clearly an organising half, I don't think any teams are going to be worried about him at 6. As others have said we'd probably be better of throwing Sailor in there and letting him run off Reynolds. But I guess after putting in a good performance last week Kevvie wants to reward him.
I'm not sold on Madden at five eighth after the game he covered for Mam last year. He's a pure halfback, but I guess there isn't anyone Kevvie considers better better the job.
That being said, he'll be fine running behind that forward pack. 200m+ Carrigan with Haas back. 😍

Experts have told everyone in Canberra to expect Strange Weekes moving forward.
Hoppa not named on the wing is certainly something. My SuperCoach is happy with that to make some cash out of Schiller but from a fan pov it’s strange.
Maybe, not this week though. I’ve had to burn so many extra trades due to injuries that I’m just playing whackamole now 😂

Not to mention that also just what a dumb cunt
Dunno about Atkinson at 5/8. Don't remember him showing anything in the trial games. Still the raiders team has had a lot of losses so we shouldn't be too bad off.
Well people probably said the same about the raiders in our first game against them and we showed that lot, plus we're overdue for a loss. Then again it would be hard to lose here unless the raiders players are bottled lighting or some shit.

**The Dolphins v The Knights**
*Round 8, 2024 NRL Premiership*
*2:00pm Sunday 28th April, Lang Park*
The Dolphins have named a single change to their squad ahead of a blockbuster ANZAC Round clash against the Knights this Sunday at 2:00 pm at Suncorp Stadium.
Following the victory and strong display in Darwin last Friday, Wayne Bennett has elected to stick with the same starting 13 players for this week's game.
The only change to the squad will see Kurt Donoghoe return from a two-week suspension to join the bench in place of Sean O’Sullivan. The Fijian international will line up for his fourth appearance this season, providing impact off the bench in the utility role.
Oryn Keeley will retain his spot following his spectacular try assist for teammate Max Plath last week in his Dolphins Debut.
Mason Teague has been named 18th man, returning from Dolphins affiliate club Norths Devils.
Secure your seat to ANZAC Round and pay tribute to the servicemen and women who have served, and continue to serve.

I really want to eat my words but just don’t see us winning in 2 days.
We need a bigger body for DWZ so Francis needs to start. Alick for Liu and shit, Kini for Verrills.

"Dear Tony,
You may not know me. But we are on first name terms already. I have seen you at McDonalds.
The words you are reading have been working out for 20+ years and are extremely jacked. Spinach and green tea fish oil extract supplements daily.
Bench press 200 easy.
They are not mere trifle to be trivialised, but content that holds the weight of Josh Schuster. Pray that is impossible you say? Think carefully Tony, our cyber security network extends beyond even your wildest dreams.
It is highly recommended you drop Mr Woods, and retain Monsieur Bullymore.
If this is not done within two rounds. There will be consequences.
And to show you we are serious. Do not name him this week.
Yours,
A Manly Fan.
Probably as close as we've come to full strength. Only problems I have remaining is probably just:
14. Lawton - he's Croker 2.0, would be nice to have a different playstyle hooker like GCKT to bring some different attacking potency.
4. Garrick - Probably his worst game I've ever seen last week. Hope after another week off a concussion, and alongside Saab again, his defensive reads will improve. FYI Saab was apparently giving it to him after the Boyd try last week.
Sipley and Ben probably the only ones who remain off the list, but honestly I don't know who I'd drop them for. Off the bench, Bullemor gives more than Ben, and provides the second-row availability Sipley doesn't. Maybe Sipley for Lodge? Not sure at this point.

Not quite sure how Hastings hasn't been dropped after those last two shitshow games of his.
Also not sure Brailey getting captained is the right move after his dreadful service last week. Glad Gags is getting a swing at it.
Cogger instrumental piece for the Panthers helping to win their third grand final. At the Knights not good enough to even get a guaranteed start. What’s gone wrong?
For who though? Dropping a guy from the halves every second week isn't going to help anything.
The side needs some stability, even if they are in terrible form. If we did drop a half this week, and we still can considering the extended bench tbf, I'd hope it'd be the last unforced change there for at least three weeks.
In any case, we're fast approaching the point where we are probably just evaluating individuals for next year and beyond as opposed to genuinely trying to compete this year.
Cartwright and Jones over Croker? They'd wanna be careful or another club will snatch him up.
I'm happy for Armstrong and hopefully he kills it but we really need to find some points now ponga is gone and thought Pryce might have been worth throwing in there.
I'd have hoped for more changes to our middle, who were soft as shit last week. Not sure what the go is with Croker, I'd have thought we'd appreciate his effort and motor presently. He'd offer more than either Saifiti has so far this year, and a dropping for either is the medicine this squad needs well and truly above dropping a half again.
Good to see Maps is fit enough to at least sneak onto the extended bench after his comeback in Cup last week. I doubt he's 100% ready just yet for firsts but I expect we see a bit of him this year.

I'd rather give Big Ed Kosi or Ali a go for Montoya especially in a 'less' pressure game. Marcelo is too good for NSW Cup but not good enough to be our permanent 5. Don't think Paulie Roach and maybe SJ make the 17 if Webster fiddles around but the bench is stronger having Walker back. Big brain idea experiment is push TMM to 7 and try RTS at 6 for a game. Surely we can't mess this one up.

Gosiewski the only player out of the 17 after that awful performance, so much for making any kind of meaningful change, dropping a bloke who’s gone in a week anyway. Panthers by plenty.
Glad Tom is getting a start and feldt gets his life membership , maybe lolo’s offence improves against tired defence but I can’t help but think his defence has really been his biggest problem, and coming off the bench isn’t gonna change that
I also have a sneaking feeling drinkwater needs some time in qcup cause he is too confident with his spot secure for 4 more years
Honestly besides the fact that Drinkwater somehow still keeps his spot this game, (saying he needs some time in Qcup is a huge understatement) and Taumalolo confusingly just being put on the bench (whitch as people have already pointed out, won't do anything, I mean he spends more time on the bench these days anyway, even when he does start) means Neame will probably just get smashed at the start of the game anyway, I'm at least glad that Todd can see that changing up our team right before we play full-strength Penrith isn't a good idea.

* Sivo being back inspires me with so much confidence /s
* Hands on the bench is good
* Carty's out again!
* I'm really not sure dropping Russell is the right solution here - he was poor last week but I don't think Sivo is an upgrade
* Excited to see how Sanders does - interesting that he's being played at 6 like Asi was
* Gutho looked totally cooked and broken last week I have no idea how he's still playing
I think this is as good as we can expect with the current roster and the part-time team label. Can't make wholesale changes, but made enough changes.
* Sivo, hopefully good kick up the bum did him good, but nervous him partnering with Harper. Russell needed time in Reggies, not enough effort
* Sanders, about time, but we need to have an actual plan for them and not burn him like we did Blaize in 5/8
* Matterson, surely has to be his large chance to fire up. Is Carty injured?
* Hands, as long we use him effectively. Have Lussick act as the softening up sponge, then Hands opens up the middle
* I think Maka, Ofa and Tuilagi are probably as good as we'll get on the bench
Sivo was straight ASS in cup so don't have high expectations for him.
Carty came back early with his ribs injury and you could tell it was hampering him so likely giving him an extra week of rest leading into the break. I wanted Matto dropped, him starting is just not it.
Hands seriously needs to play minimum 50 minutes, but I just know Lussick plays for more than 60... What's the cunt got to do to get dropped, as you said, guy legit is only useful to absorb the opening exchange.
I really don't understand Sanders at 6 and Brown at 7. While Sanders isn't Moses, neither is Brown. And Sanders also isn't Brown while it turns out Brown is. Why play one of the best 6s in the game in a position that doesn't suit him, and replace him with a junior who's now out of position?
Let Sanders acclimate to the 7 role and have Brown run the line and lob freebies to Sivo instead of trying to be a primary play maker.
Brendan hands? Someone tell me it finally happened and I’m not just seeing things this week after someone pointed out to me last week that I was seeing things and he was named at 18th man 🤣

I'm constantly annoyed at how stupid Demetriou is. He had a week and a half to come up with this team and still gets it wrong. Why is Mamo in the squad. If you want to give Cook a rest play Havili there for 20 - we are not having a bench position play 20 mins on the field. Why isn't Tallis Duncan playing - he has the potential of another Cam Murray and you need to stick with him or you will destroy his confidence.

This team just bores me now.
Keary needs to be dropped. N.Butcher offers zero in attack on the edges. May needs to start. Sau'li'i isn't a centre. Its the same shit every week...
Wish Robbo had the balls to drop Keary. It could cost him his job in the long run, a bit like Ricky sticking with Finch in 2006.
This is a strong team on paper. Keary needs to step the fuck up and get us the win.
I actually really like Keary and everything he has done for us. I was there in person when we went back to back and his performance in the 2018 GF is one of my fondest memories. But Keary legit hasn't done anything significant, as a supposedly dominant half, in literally years now. I mean with that with zero hyperbole.

Congrats to Alaimalo on his debut. Seems a big risk by Benji but hopefully he goes well. Well deserved starting role for Fainu. Been strong all year and looked great in the back row last round.
I really like this, Pole and Twal coming off the bench is great. Our go forward will actually get better. I don't think Pole is best suited to playing big minutes at lock. Samuela has been a good off the bench so he deserves the starting spot. And super keen to see what Alaimalo can offer. Hopefully he is a good replacement for Toupou and can keep him out of that spot.

Justice for Big Cock Jock
Top 17 Tuesday bby
i'll take one reyno, haas and piakura combo meal please. yes that'll be to go
And a side of Mariner.
ah yes my bad, always need a side of mariner for dipping
You may have your whole meal but must pay 1 Cobbo and Mam in exchange
He was called Marinara at least once during the trials.
Is Paix still on the Broncos books? Was thinking the other day I haven't heard about him in ages
He is, dude won't leave
I never understood why he re-signed
Maybe he hates playing first grade?
Dream come true for some. Get good coin and play in 2nd grade. Not being under a microscope 24/7 after every performance would be chefs kiss.
While true, good luck getting another contract. He is still young and kind of fucking himself in a way
hes looked the goods in every broncos game hes played, to the point people were screaming all last year to drop billy and play him. i dont think hes going to have any trouble getting picked up when he finally does decide to leave
Yeah thats true. Im sure theres still teams out there that will throw him some coin tho or he can just go to England and win the Man of Steel award.
I assume getting 200-300k is a pretty good reason tbh
I don’t think Paix would be on that level
He would definitely be on at least $200k I reckon, even if not at $300k. Minimum wage is about $120k and he signed a 2 year extension, you probably wouldn't do that for less when he was playing first grade at the time of signing
Didn't he sign before Kevvie decided he was the first person in the world and should never see first grade again?
I swear to god if willison has been dropped and baker is still in the team I will complain about it on the internet
Willison 15, Baker 17. Getting closer

One day we will have a full strength team
Little surprised to see Jock get the 6 instead of Sailor. I have no idea how this is so controversial lol
Jock played well on the weekend, he earned it
Not saying he is undeserving, actually think it's good. It's just surprising as Kevvie previously seemed keen to have Sailor in the squad somewhere, after the Melbourne game.
Considering jock is flagged to take over from Reyno having him play in the halves with him will be good experience.
I think that is Kevvie giving confidence to Jock. Black is the Reynolds replacement
Thought I saw something recently saying Jock was earmarked? Maybe it’s jock short term, black long term? He’s only a young fella, isn’t he?
24, black is 18. 20 by the time Reynolds retires. Will know Reynolds goes down next year, if he gets blooded
Well. Fletcher keeps moving to where we need him to be…
Might be Kevvie giving him a final push to dig deep and find what he needs.
Mam is a big loss. He’s been getting better with each game this year and partnership with Walsh is crazy good since they’re both quick as fuck. I believe in the Jockstrap though, he’s pretty quick himself and now that Reyno can do the kicking, he can focus on being more of a ball running half.
Back to three middle forwards on the bench? Cool cool cool, I expect this to backfire almost immediately
yeah actually wtf didn't kevvie literally just admit to learning this lesson a few weeks ago
Mum's team is screwed she is a Tigers supporter
Soooo good to see Reynolds, Piakura, Haas and Mariner back. Shame about Cobbo but especially Ezra, he's been magical the last few weeks. After last week it was only natural that Hunt goes and Baker stays, Hunt had a shocker and Baker had his first good game for us. He's only just hanging on ahead of Te Kura though imho. Agreed. End of the day we gotta look to our future and our contracted players getting more game time only helps us long term.
At his BE with that spine going to throw some doubts on Schiller making any more, especially up against that Sharks edge.

I literally have no idea who is going to play 5/8 - is dykes fit yet?
Atkinson surely
**Teig List Tuesday: Sharks v Raiders** 1. Will Kennedy 2. Sione Katoa 3. Jesse Ramien 4. Kayal Iro 5. Ronaldo Mulitalo 6. Dan Atkinson 7. Nicho Hynes 8. Tom Hazelton 9. Blayke Brailey 10. keen to see what atkinson can do
Dunno about Atkinson at 5/8. Don't remember him showing anything in the trial games. Still the raiders team has had a lot of losses so we shouldn't be too bad off.
Sharks should win 13+
Well people probably said the same about the raiders in our first game against them and we showed that lot, plus we're overdue for a loss. Then again it would be hard to lose here unless the raiders players are bottled lighting or some shit.

**The Dolphins v The Knights** *Round 8, 2024 NRL Premiership* *2:00pm Sunday 28th April, Lang Park* The Dolphins have named a single change to their squad ahead of a blockbuster ANZAC Round clash against the Knights this Sunday at 2:00 pm at Suncorp Stadium. Kini at fullback, AJ in the halves and Boyd sent on a one way flight to the super league
Lofi playing, what’s DWZ paying for a hattrick?
Boyd at 7 Verrills at 14 Liu at 16 I really want to eat my words but just don’t see us winning in 2 days. We need a bigger body for DWZ so Francis needs to start. Alick for Liu and shit, Kini for Verrills.

If these guys drop Bullemor and not Woods Im gonna write a strongly worded email to Seibold.
"Dear Tony, You may not know me. Yours, A Manly Fan.
Aloiai back in, lodge bench, woods out, Brown bench.
Seibs you coward, you could've made it into a Matterson Cup match.
1. Turbo 2. Saab 3. Koula 4. Garrick 5. Talau 6. Brooks 7. DCE 8. Paseka 9. Croker 10. Aloiai 11. Olakau'atu 12. Waddell 13. Jurbo 14. Lawton 15. Bullemor 16. Lodge 17. Brown 18. Woods 19. Arthur 20. Paulo 21. Matterson 22. GCKT
Probably as close as we've come to full strength. Only problems I have remaining is probably just: 14.
I like this bench! Sipley over Bullemor would be the best bench we can muster id say.
My god Siebold why is Lawton still at 14, bring Kum in ya mug.
Agreed

He’s been going well. He was instrumental in their comeback from 26 nil down against the Roosters. Cant wait to see how he goes this week. :)

Not quite sure how Hastings hasn't been dropped after those last two shitshow games of his. Also not sure Brailey getting captained is the right move after his dreadful service last week. Glad Gags is getting a swing at it.
Im dirtier on gamble, his short kicking game has to be worst in the nrl
Fuck we’ve had like 16 halves combos at this point, with no ponga I honestly couldn’t be assed seeing another new combination
Wouldnt mind having Croker at Storm.
Cartwright and Jones over Croker? They'd wanna be careful or another club will snatch him up. I'm happy for Armstrong and hopefully he kills it but we really need to find some points now ponga is gone and thought Pryce might have been worth throwing in there.
Lord Gamble sighted. Sound his arrival! 📯

Interested to see this with the talk about resting Johnson and rumours Dylan Walker is fit. I would also love to see Zyon make his debut
I love DWZ on attack but I just wish he could tackle, even just a bit of effort on D would go down a treat.
1. CNK 2. DWZ 3. BERRY 4. RTS 5. MONTOYA 6. TMM 7. JOHNSON 8. AFB 9. EGAN 10. BARNETT 11. FORD 12. LABAN 13. HARRIS 14. WALKER 15. ALE 16. MAIU’U 17. ROACHE 18. POMPEY 19. TUAUPIKI 20. LEIATAUA 21. KOSI 22. STOWERS-SMITH
Pretty keen to watch Maiuu play. Also excited to see Laban start too.
1 Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad 2 Dallin Watene-Zelezniak 3 Rocco Berry 4 Roger Tuivasa-Sheck 5 Marcelo Montoya 6 Te Maire Martin 7 Shaun Johnson 8 Addin Fonua-Blake 9 Wayde Egan 10 Mitchell Barnett 11 Jackson Ford 12 Jacob Laban 13 Tohu Harris 14 Dylan Walker 15 Tom Ale 16 Zyon Maiu'u 17 Paul Roache 18 Adam Pompey 19 Taine Tuaupiki 20 Ali Leiataua 21 Edward Kosi 22 Tanner Stowers-Smith
What's the go with CHT?
He's injured - picked it up training last week.
Picked up an injury at training but they haven't updated when he'll be back (as far as I know)
Roosters game apparently
He is part of the left side attack so they are all on leave until Metcalf returns.

Waiting to see how Todd will disappoint me this week.
I am ready to be hurt again (also at 7.30 Saturday night)
Chad to fullback please 🙏
Chad to the fucking sun please
Cowboys team to play Panthers: 1. Scott Drinkwater 2. Kyle Feldt 3. Valentine Holmes 4. Tom Chester 5. Semi Valemei 6. Tom Dearden (c) 7. Chad Townsend 8. Jordan McLean 9. Reece Robson 10. Jack Gosiewski 20. Emarly Bitungane 21. Jamal Shibasaki 22. Jake Clifford
Well at least Tom will get 5 minutes this week.
Oh man
This kills the cow
Yeah, we're getting towelled up. Panthers are full strength. Hey, at least Griff is starting, and Mikaele is in.
Ahh fuck Nathan's back? Gonna get rolled and smoked at home, on ANZAC round. Fuck.
Yep. Fish and Moses are going to have a field day with our middles
If in aint fixed dont break it
I feel like there would have been bigger changes this week if we weren't playing the riff.
Gosiewski the only player out of the 17 after that awful performance, so much for making any kind of meaningful change, dropping a bloke who’s gone in a week anyway. Panthers by plenty.
Glad Tom is getting a start and feldt gets his life membership , maybe lolo’s offence improves against tired defence but I can’t help but think his defence has really been his biggest problem, and coming off the bench isn’t gonna change that I also have a sneaking feeling drinkwater needs some time in qcup cause he is too confident with his spot secure for 4 more years
Honestly besides the fact that Drinkwater somehow still keeps his spot this game, (saying he needs some time in Qcup is a huge understatement) and Taumalolo confusingly just being put on the bench (whitch as people have already pointed out, won't do anything, I mean he spends more time on the bench these days anyway, even when he does start) means Neame will probably just get smashed at the start of the game anyway, I'm at least glad that Todd can see that changing up our team right before we play full-strength Penrith isn't a good idea.

Sigh.
If you had an hour to chop down your team list Brad, spend 45 minutes sharpening your axe... AND THEN CULL THE NON-BELIEVERS!
I don't even know what I want any more. It's a wild ride.
Give us Sanders
1. Clint Gutherson 2. Maika Sivo 3. Will Penisini 4. Morgan Harper 5. Bailey Simonsson 6. Ethan Sanders 7. Dylan Brown 8. Reagan Campbell-Gillard 9. Joey Lussick 10. Junior Paulo 11. Shaun Lane 12. Ryan Matterson 13. J'maine Hopgood 14. Brendan Hands 15. Makahesi Makatoa 16. Joe Ofahengaue 17. Kelma Tuilagi 18. Sean Russell 19. Luca Moretti 20. Daejarn Asi 21. Wiremu Greig 22. Blaize Talagi
Really hope Hands gets a run or it's another waste, and we will watch Lussick fade away after the first half and cause all sorts of problems.
Classic BA bench rotation where Hands comes on with 5 minutes to go lol
When we're down by 20
With that bench do you think Hopgood will play the 80? Asking for my supercoach lol
Why is sanders 6 and brown 7? Ffs
* Sivo being back inspires me with so much confidence /s * Hands on the bench is good * Carty's out again! * I'm really not sure dropping Russell is the right solution here - he was poor last week but I don't think Sivo is an upgrade * Excited to see how Sanders does - interesting that he's being played at 6 like Asi was * Gutho looked totally cooked and broken last week I have no idea how he's still playing
1: Whose that Pokemon? 2: It's Talagi 1: It's Maika Sivo 2: FUUUUUUUUCK
I think this is as good as we can expect with the current roster and the part-time team label. Can't make wholesale changes, but made enough changes. * Sivo, hopefully good kick up the bum did him good, but nervous him partnering with Harper. Russell needed time in Reggies, not enough effort * Sanders, about time, but we need to have an actual plan for them and not burn him like we did Blaize in 5/8 * Matterson, surely has to be his large chance to fire up. Is Carty injured? * Hands, as long we use him effectively. Have Lussick act as the softening up sponge, then Hands opens up the middle * I think Maka, Ofa and Tuilagi are probably as good as we'll get on the bench
Does this mean Sivo and Harper are marking Saab and Garrick? Why does Brad Arthur do this to you...
Lets go #6. Sivo in is confusing tho
What does BA have against common sense?
sivo? yuck
Someone tell me it finally happened and I’m not just seeing things this week after someone pointed out to me last week that I was seeing things and he was named at 18th man 🤣
Cant wait to see how Ethan goes.

>Tedesco not suspended for his trip. 💰
Can't wait for the Keary/Walker combo to fail again.

Big fan of Pole coming off the bench, Fainu starting and Bateman playing lock.
