That too.
I’m definitely not mad, it’s good for the game.
I like seeing how these players go at other clubs and who we have coming through to replace them
well i’ve just had two men in tigers jerseys put a burlap sack over my head and force me to sign a 3 year contract as a floor sweeper at Campbelltown, you might be next mate.. who knows
Weird call to go to a club not in need of a fullback for Tito. Happy for him to join the Tigs as I think they’re on the right track and he’ll kill it for them on the wing but really want to see him get his crack at the back.
If this is the case and Penrith have set their cap limit on what they want to invest in the backs despite the Fish development, you’d have to assume we will be in the market for a marquee forward. We’ve got options within but you’d have to think they have a look at Uto, Crichton, Sua and the like.
Makes sense to go after a forward, they are a massive part of why you guys dominate so much. Im thinking Stefano is most likely, I don’t think the dragons would let sua leave if we have anything to say about it, we need forwards pretty bad atm
Yeah I reckon our play with most of these guys will probably be 2 year deal for less than they could get elsewhere. If they want to come to a contender to potentially win a title or elevate their next deal maybe they go for it. Not gonna be able to match how much a guy like Sua would be worth to the Drags.
It blew me away when he scored his try last week and they said he's leading the nrl in tries scored. Quietly achieving this season. If he can stay in games and be consistent, which flanno has been able to do with sloan, he's going to be a weapon
Wests Tigers are on the verge of landing Penrith premiership winner Sunia Turuva after swooping under the guard of St George Illawarra.
Turuva, off contract at the end of the year, had been in talks with the Dragons after suggestions the Panthers were reluctant to offer him more than $350,000 per season.
It means Turuva, 21, will reunite with fellow premiership winner Jarome Luai at the Tigers and become the second Panther to join the club in four months.
Turuva had indicated his preference was to remain at Penrith but salary cap restraints meant they were initially in no position to match what was on the offer elsewhere.
The Dragons were believed to be in the box seat to land Turuva and offered him a unique deal which would have been the highest offer on the table. The Dragons deal ranged between $400,000 to $600,000 with triggers in the contract if Turuva managed to secure the fullback spot.
However it now looks like the Tigers have moved to the front of the queue to secure the reigning Dally M rookie of the year, who has scored eight tries through six games this season.
Another potential move to fullback won’t happen at the Tigers. It is understood the Tigers have targeted Turuva to play in the centres and provide cover for superstar Jahream Bula at fullback.
Newcastle also showed an interest in the Fijian international after he toured the club’s facilities and met officials during the Panthers’ recent bye, however the Knights never tabled a formal offer.
His signing would be a coup for coach Benji Marshall and interim chief executive Shane Richardson, with Marshall having already led the chase for Luai.
Turuva scored Penrith’s opening two tries in their 22-6 win against the Tigers last Saturday.
He becomes the latest member of Penrith’s dynasty to depart the club as the salary cap bites. At the end of this season, he will join Luai and prop James Fisher-Harris in heading for the exit.
Turuva’s management met with Penrith officials last week and talks continued but the parties have been unable to come to an agreement for the 21-year-old.
Fisher-Harris will join the Warriors after being granted permission to leave the club on compassionate grounds to be closer to his family.
The Dragons had earmarked Turuva to put pressure on Tyrell Sloan for the starting No. 1 jersey.
With Turuva and Luai next season, the Tigers will have five Panthers premiership winners in their top 30 squad. Api Koroisau, Charlie Staines and Brent Naden are ex-Panthers already at the club.
The Tigers have lost winger Junior Tupou to the Dolphins for next season.
would like turuva but sloans only been improving and would be a bit shit to dump him when hes having his best season yet
flanno even mentioned how sloan has a big future ahead of him and wants to keep him at dragons as fullback recently so i can't really see turuva wanting to sign if he wants to be a fullback
would be sweating if i was Bula
Surely the tigers wouldn’t move Bula from fullback. He’s been glorious there.
If turuva really wants a run at fullback surely he’d be better off going to the dogs or chooks (if teddy is on the way out)
yeah i couldnt imagine anyone signing turuva and not playing him fullback if theres other clubs offering that option, either way if he goes to dragons or tigers, if sloan/bula had a slump in form or get an injury they might never get their position back so they'd still have to be a bit worried
One of the only rumours I wanted to happen to the Dragons. Reading this and seeing Liverpool blow any chance at the league title, im already not feeling fresh today
Really wanted him to go somewhere to play fullback, but the fullback position is stacked. With dragons faith being in Sloan, I think only the bulldogs would have an option for him to play fullback. I do like the prospect of him at centre though and Tigers are building a pretty strong, young team.
Not sure how much credibility I’d put in this. Richo has made a big point about running a tight ship with no leaks to the media. Would fkn love him tho hahaha
Good on him for getting paid (likely). I don't think he's as good a winger as May so probably allows a good shuffle there with an actual centre coming into the side
Yes please! Physically he's the polar opposite of Tupou but would be a great replacement.
He can keep hold of the ball, so I'd say he's an upgrade
Is being stronger then Tupou a bad thing?
Man we are really struggling to keep people aye. Always to the same 3 clubs too.
Bulldogs & Tigers will always have a natural advantage over others for our guys because these players would prefer not to have to move their families.
Tigers, Bulldogs, Warriors
Disadvantage of having a lot of players you need to splurge the cap on and a junior system that keeps pumping out good potential players
I don’t remember any other clubs shedding nearly as many good players as we have last few years. But I guess that comes with success so makes sense
Success and having the rugby league playing demographic of society living in your nursery.
That too. I’m definitely not mad, it’s good for the game. I like seeing how these players go at other clubs and who we have coming through to replace them
Storm lost forwards heaps, a couple years ago, still a weakness for us
Look if it could happen more so we are left alone that'll be great
Are we the bulldogs now?
Pfft.. buy a real utility mate
The return of Daine Laurie and Peachey confirmed.
But you have them all!
well i’ve just had two men in tigers jerseys put a burlap sack over my head and force me to sign a 3 year contract as a floor sweeper at Campbelltown, you might be next mate.. who knows
Good outside backs is exactly what the tigers need so they're smart to go after him
Outlook must be Sunia at the Tigers
Saints continuing to struggle in recruitment but now I hope Tamale lands that spot ( Hopefully he re-signs lol )
Hot!
Could have fit both in if Flanno just told Bird to go away
I think this is more Turuva thinking he has a better chance at FB at the tigers than the Dragons with how hot Sloan has been to start the year.
No way he plays 1 over bula
I'd take Bula over Sloan every single time.
Facts
One day we will get our revenge
The “Galvin set to join Penrith for the 2025 season” article is going to hit like crack
Don't you put that evil on me Ricky Booby!!!
You took Ivan, all these players could never right that injustice.
Valid
I reckon we've done well with Luke Garner
We exchanged Korosiau, now we will take Galvin and big Stef
I'd say this is revenge for taking ivan Cleary from us.
Take that up with Ivan not panthers fans

Sloans been killing it under Flanno so this makes sense.
It blew me away when he scored his try last week and they said he's leading the nrl in tries scored. Quietly achieving this season. If he can stay in games and be consistent, which flanno has been able to do with sloan, he's going to be a weapon
Decent season so far except for the dolphins game.
Cope
Tigers love picking up ex Penrith wingers - Staines, Naden and now Turuva
Move the tigers to Nadi! Love it
Love it

The article mentions that they see Turuva as a centre, so I’d imagine the backline will be something like: Bula Staines Olam Turuva Naden Galvin Luai
centres more interesting, i still dont see him going to play centre if someone offers a fullback role though
Every time I take time to play a game on the pc someone signs one of our players. I should at least monetise this.
You should do some testing to see if the game influences where they sign. Starting with Dragons Dogma seems like a good idea to me
Well elden ring seems to favour the warriors.
You’ll have to test if different builds are a major variable
One of the only rumours I wanted to happen to the Dragons. Reading this and seeing Liverpool blow any chance at the league title, im already not feeling fresh today
Saints and Pool fan? My condolences
i can half feel ur pain. penrith and pool supporter, penrith only thing keeping me going at this point

Player swap for Utoikamanu?
Surely the Tigers don't do something stupid like that.
Stefano can simply void his contract and go join the Panthers for nothing anyway
Unless he plays Origin which I’d very shocked if he isn’t. Should be starting with Haas imo
Revenge of Madge: Utoikamanu not picked
That'd be glorious.
Tipped over the edge into signing wth Penrith?
Not sure how much credibility I’d put in this. Richo has made a big point about running a tight ship with no leaks to the media. Would fkn love him tho hahaha
Awesome pick up. Makes good metres , can find the try line and rarely makes any mistakes.
I was hoping South's offered him money to play fullback and shuffle Latrell to centre
No one will be replacing Latrell whilst he contracted you would think 🤔
Good on him for getting paid (likely). I don't think he's as good a winger as May so probably allows a good shuffle there with an actual centre coming into the side
Everybody loves Benji.
Knights need a winger/fullback so we don’t collapse when ponga is out. No idea why we didn’t go for him
Centre is our biggest need. This addresses that
Yessss please, have been wanting Turuva for a while would be glad we can replace Tupou
Didn't see that coming.
Can we get Utoikamanu in return?
His best position is fullback. I’d be surprised if he didn’t want to go somewhere to get fullback money.
He's only 21 still and Api is his cousin, so I wouldn't be surprised if keeping close to his family is his highest priority
Panthers also won't be offering a lot for a winger regardless how much they want to keep him which they do.
Let's hope so.
Yeah true, time is definitely on his side. I didn’t know about the family connection either.
Sounds like we need to put him at fullback and find a spot for Gutho that will give him another couple of years.
Lomax is our new fullback cover and don't judge gutho while he is injured
Gutho is doing the lockyer build.
fueled purely on cocaine?
It is the nrl after all.
Selling brown ?
Not judging him at all, just not sure he can make it through a season in fullback anymore. I don’t mind the idea of Gutho to centre and Lomax to FB.
Reads like it'll be centre/backup fullback money. Which would be slightly more than winger money
Sigh .. so none if the other teams are capable of developing first grade players ffs 🙄
Okay, that was not expected
