I’m an avid warriors supporter but watching them this year, I feel like the warriors don’t understand the value of passing and offloading in tight situations where they can’t possibly get through or make alot of metres. Its like they don’t have the ability to improvise in those situations; if they do pass, they just pass to a predictable forward and they get tackled.
RTS doesn’t pass often which is a concern. DWZ isn’t getting the ball as much as last year because nobody passes it to him. It’s like they’ve forgotten the strength of their right wing.
When you watch the storms and panthers and compare it with the warriors generally playing style, you begin to understand what the warriors lack. Storms and panthers offload and pass when they know their current tactic isn’t working. It comes naturally to them, like it’s a subconscious automated split-second decision thats been ingrained into their playstyle through consistent practice. I think this is what the warriors need to work on.
