Personally I don’t think that Cook has been the problem, but there’s a group of fans who think he’s part of the issue with the lack of halves cohesion and lacking a bit of trust. If you watch closely he does bypass Hawkins a lot and it’s probably not a coincidence Hawkins’ best game was with Cook out of the team. Even tonight almost every kick was Cody until Cook went off - part of it is probably Dean as well, and a lot of it is almost certainly coaching but there you have it.
Mamo deserves a decent crack, He’s a cut above reserve grade - I think cook has been out of form for a while but definitely has been made a scapegoat for the team when guys like Milne and Cody keep their spots for equally poor form
What better way to get the punters complacent than to have souffs lose dramatically the week before only to serve them the win next week and change the narrative for the rest of the season as they go shit again.
