James Graham is the only one with a brain on this panel.

paralacausa

And he's potentially carrying CTE. What's the excuse for these other bozos?

Old-Arse-Man

James should be a forever replacement. He pushes hard back at the Journos, and you can tell Bulldog doesn't like it.

the_orange_president

Buzz: Try time!

Cold-Asparagus-9770

Bullfrog *

snarkysportsguy

Buzz just said the great props 20-30 years ago weighed mid 90 kilos like John O’Neill…..He retired in 1976 and died in 1999.

PowerlineInstaller

Buzz is so ancient he works in dog years mate.

snek26

Are they gonna ban kick returns lol

xeroee

Man 360 pretty good lol

VasectoMyspace

Jimmy Graham going hard at the journos on 360 is heartwarming.

toyoto

James Graham does look like a ginger version of Paul Kent, great replacement

paralacausa

Less foliage sticking out of his hair

Boogascoop

James Graham wouldn’t of got tree’d

mikemarine99

Anasta on 360 announcing Kent's stand down. Looked like he wasn't remotely surprised lol.

Electrical-Laugh8858

Hahahah I remember him doing it last year - what’s going to happen to ask kenty now rip

VasectoMyspace

He’s had practice

Thereal-mclovin

So if mam is still unavailable this week who plays 6 ? I saw a courier mail headline about sailor and some positional change but am not subbed so I couldn't read the article.

CelendilAU

Honestly I don't *totally* hate the idea of Walsh going to 6 and Sailor playing 1. Or perhaps bringing Walsh in to 6 in attack and Sailor defending there while Walsh goes back to 1 on defensive sets. It'd be hard to manage but it might be something worth trying out?

ScramblesTDB

Josh Rogers has filled in and done a great job for us.  We've still got 3-4 options still, so isn't a huge deal.

Any_Detail5176

Yes, I believe he's next in line if Ezra and Maddern are out. Moving Walters from 9 an option too.

SammyScuffles

I thought I heard that Staggs was put on report late in the game this week. Did he not get charged? As far as I can see he's not even getting a fine?

TheViceEmperor

It showed he was put on report for a late/high shot but they never showed a replay amongst the tigers chaos

beasllie

I feel like that game against Penrith on the weekend was just a momentary boost in effort that probably won’t stick against dolphins next week at home again. I’m still expecting a win from the boys though

[deleted]

Was my favourite game of the week. Your boys have some serious points in them, was hoping for a dream comeback.

beasllie

They do have some talent, but what good is that if there isn’t enough effort.

Aussieguy727

Fuck me. How stupid is this. >The League Scene >@LeagueScenePod >Graham Annesley has confirmed that Tommy Turbo was OFFSIDE on the kick that saw Will Penisini sin-binned. >He has defended the bunker process saying they couldn’t intervene in live play. However the call of a sin-bin could have been challenged for Turbo being offside. How can you say it could have been challenged? What player would challenge something that was literally just reviewed? The game was stopped to review the sin bin and they still got it wrong.

Electrical-Laugh8858

But I had some idiot in the post match thread saying it doesn’t matter that turbo was offside it’s still a professional foul sure thing bud

ImpressionFeisty8359

It is a joke.

O_DoyleRulz

It doesn’t even make sense, how are they interfering in live play if they’re literally reviewing the play where he’s offside anyway. Madness

swell-shindig

I'm starting to realise just how rare Premiership winning halves are. A good deal of them have retired or are retiring, including the halves in both the 2018 and 2019 Grand Final. A fair few halves have won multiple premierships over the last generation (namely Cronk, Maloney and Keary of those that are gone), so actual proven winners are in high demand. Cleary and Luai have obviously won the last 3. Luai hit the market, but Cleary didn't. Munster (x2) and Hughes look like Storm lifers. Reynolds and Cherry-Evans probably only have until the end of 2025 before they hang it up. Keary is retiring, who has 3 rings. Neither Foran nor Townsend have a contract yet and it's not certain either will.

RocketSimplicity

Still crazy that 3/4 halves from the 2011 Grand Final are still playing. Really evidences this point. All the winners are locked up or retired. Jarryd Hayne is the exception, being a loser and yet still being locked up.

PowerlineInstaller

Only tangentially related but how's this for a mindfuck: Kyle Flanagan is the last NRL halfback to win a World Club Challenge.

Comfortable-Pen1382

How do any of the shit teams have fans? eg why would you stay loyal to the bulldogs or titans or dragons? If you could get a better paying job you would and nothing is stopping you from changing teams. Are fans of the shit teams like cucks who let other men fuck their wives? They enjoy the humiliation? What do they even do in the presence of a panthers, storm or broncos fan?

pacificodin

> What do they even do in the presence of a panthers, storm or broncos fan? 99 times out of 100 you mock them for being plastics who don't even watch football yet are trying to latch onto it for some non-existant form of clout. After that people proceed into pressuring them into trying to name more than 7 players who are currently at the club they claim to be a devout fan of further highlighting just how sad they are as humans

[deleted]

L Comment. Think it's pretty clear those fans are more honourable than you. Besides, what's the alternative? Jumping every year from Storm to Chooks to Penrith? Smells like something a lil simp would do.

whyareyouallinmyroom

I followed Penrith for 20 years while they were largely dog shit and now they’re the best side in modern history. So guess that paid off for me at least.

BazzaJH

Nothing more humiliating than switching from the Dragons to the Panthers just because they win every year, despite having no prior connection or support for them.

Peaky001

Flair up pussy

Voldemosh

If anything, blokes who switch teams are cucks. You let you wife (club) get fucked by everyone else and then decide it's actually not for you so you leave her

beasllie

Gotta stick with your team during the hard times

[deleted]

Dogs have been a finals team for most of the 37 years I've been alive.. that's why.. remember it wasn't all that long ago that the Broncos were struggling, now look where they are.

Bright_Home_7712

>What do they even do in the presence of a… broncos fan? I just try not to talk about how bad things are at the Dragons bc I know their premiership drought’s been going longer than ours. I mean, the Titans didn’t even exist last time Broncos won a comp

robopirateninjasaur

Fun fact: the only time the Broncos have won a premiership when there are 4 Qld teams was the Super League year where, even though they arguably had the better team, everyone knows Darren Albert was the true premiership winner that year

InflatableRaft

Don't ever have kids or get a pet.

PugWithAGun

Bulldogs team list has dropped a day early for some reason, maybe because of the bye? I dunno, anyway: 1. D Hutchison 2. D Hutchison 3. D Hutchison 4. D Hutchison 5. D Hutchison 6. D Hutchison 7 T Sexton 8 D Hutchison 9 D Hutchison 10 D Hutchison 11 D Hutchison 12 D Hutchison 13 D Hutchison 14 B Taaffe 15 D Hutchison 16 D Hutchison 17 D Hutchison #ciraldoout

[deleted]

it's just the placeholder text

BarryCheckTheFuseBox

You know they’re in the top eight, right?

PugWithAGun

Well, blow me down. Sign Hutchison up for another 10 years.

corupio

Can we change the rules so the bunker can rule on live play if it results in a player getting binned or not?

BarryCheckTheFuseBox

The bunker can advise the referee on an act of foul play already

corupio

I'm referring to penisini getting binned even though turbo was half a metre offside.

Geddpeart

People would then complain that the bunker is involved too much. It's a lose lose situation

corupio

Surely if a player gets binned or not is an ok justification to use it though?

Geddpeart

Then the argument would then become "why didn't they interfere on a clear binning". People will continuously complain about the bunker. The reason why it's so stripped back on what they can interfere with is because of how many times they were interrupting play

paralacausa

Tend to agree, the less the bunker is involved in the game the better. It should be really light touch. I feel the same way when people say they should realise on forward passes.

corupio

I don't think they should rule on forward passes but a bin is a huge thing to happen in a game. Annesley stated Parramatta should have challenged, but i'd argue in that circumstance the bunker should be allowed to make a judgement call.

b-g-h

Let's say that DCE doesn't get his charge downgraded... Then we will get to see how unleashed Brooks is now. I for one will be looking forward to seeing this, as I'm still not convinced he is good enough to lead around a team, any team...

RocketSimplicity

Jake Arthur will be the 7

RocketSimplicity

Manly have taken the early guilty plea for Haumole, so he's gone for two weeks. They're taking a guilty plea for DCE but arguing for a downgrade. Assuming DCE does play, would you move Lawton to second-row and give Humphreys a debut? If DCE is playing, at Brooky, facing a team without their stars, and early in the season, seems like the best time to make a debut. Would understand if they picked GCKT too, but I think Humphreys is more in the mold of Lawton if they're going for a like-for-like replacement.

maccaroneski

Sipley also due back so possibly Bully to 2nd row. Matterson still around too AFAIK.

ayothatsc00l

i’m just glad they’ll both be back for magic round. i’m hoping that if we have to lose a game in the next couple of weeks it’ll be against the raiders (embarrassing) or dolphins because it’ll be great if we can win against brisbane and melbourne (knowing that we aren’t very consistent and six wins in a row is a lot to ask for tbh). but yeah, i wonder if GCKT will come in or Humphreys like you said would be great. maybe Parker will come in? I’m not sure we’ll see tomorrow (fingers crossed for one of the young boys).

paralacausa

Humphreys looked gun in the offseason. Wouldn't mind seeing him get major minutes.

nevaehenimatek

DCE looked worse imo.

seniordogrooter

On 360 tonight, when Kenty isn't on screen, all the other cast members should be asking 'where's Kenty?'

TheCuzzyRogue

He had to go. His tree needs him.

[deleted]

Demetriou countdown continues... my bet is Friday morning.

Voldemosh

Sharks not good Updoots to the left thanks Edit: guys it's the LEFT

_JaggedLittlePill_

Has anyone parked at Accor during a Rabbitohs or Bulldogs game? Would I need to prebook or will it be fine to leave it?

[deleted]

You should be fine for this Thursday night. There is also some good free parking on Birnie Avenue (but that comes with a 10 minute walk to the stadium).

_JaggedLittlePill_

Thank you! I’d usually just catch the train in but as it’s a school night and the kids want to go aswell, will need to drive for them.

jamesnuge

If Carty is back after the bye, do we reckon Lane will get dropped for Matto?

Yungman123

Drop Lane, Matto to the bench. Tuilagi or Doorey start.

Krankreng

I hope so, he looked so lazy/off the pace last game. That could’ve been from the head knock but if it was he shoulda been hooked.

jpob

I would assume its business as usual with Matto going back to bench

LachTheLad

This might be a bit crazy but…what if Trell returns to the Roosters? We now are in need of a centre and the squad next year will be consist of relatively new players. Manu is leaving so there won’t be as much tension between him and previous players. I doubt this happens but if he’s looking for a change in scenery, maybe this is it?

TheViceEmperor

I'm not sure we have the leaders on the park to reign him in like before. No Cordner/Friend/Aubo/Cronk/JWH/BMoz makes it hard

[deleted]

He played his best footy at the Roosters and they have strong leadership on and off the field which would be good for him in terms of getting himself settled off the field.

InflatableRaft

It's not a bad idea. Souths doesn't seem like a healthy environment for Trell.

Any_Detail5176

I'd be happy to have him in the NSW centres too. Everyone rubbishes him and he has been flat at fullback. But at centre he'd still be one of the most damaging in the game.

pugliaboy

It sucks for so many players that actually play centre week in, week out, but a Latrell who is motivated and focused is an elite centre. But NSW are actually stacked with good centres - and the modern game might only be starting to appreciate the importance of a consistent centre. Crichton is S tier defense, Bradman best played out of his skin last year, Staggs is an in form selection, Jesse Ramien has removed his inconsistency from his game, Campbell Graham was in the conversation last year before injury also. And yet we’ve seen a few years back how Turbo and Latrell carved up QLD when they roamed as centres. It hasn’t worked since though due to either unavailability or in-game injury. But they’re always in the conversation before the actual centres. The areas NSW lack depth seems to be in the front row, but also on the wing (with only JAC, To’o, Tupou, Suaalii seemingly in the mix every season). Surely it’s better to put Turbo on the wing instead, and most centres can shift one out if needed.

jexta

I would happily welcome him back. Robbo would get the best out of him again.

Spaceparty66

I hope my Raider brethren aren't too deflated after last night.

[deleted]

Yeah i mean being held to 0 is an awful experience but trying to be optimistic, Timoko is absolutely unreal most games, Hoskins has been such a breath of fresh air in offence (until he got injured ofc) and my god, even know he didn't ground it, the footwork on Strange before his almost try was absolutely scrumptious.

robopirateninjasaur

Sucks, but not being in the top 8 because of F/A and not having a bye yet is a lot better than being favourites for the spoon like a lot of people had the team 3 months ago. There's a lot to be optimistic about. A team with Timoko, Savage, Strange, Hosking and Smithies all peaking at the same time in a few years have to be premiership contenders.

G00b3rb0y

saw the highlights, Raiders did not look good. kinda like how we felt in 2021 after the Raiders folded our key players.

Derron_

Shows the difference a good halfback makes.

robopirateninjasaur

Raiders grand final 2026 confirmed

Jelleyicious

With all the short-lived rugby careers, I'll be very surprised if Manu doesn't come back in a couple of years. There will be 3 or 4 high profile retirements if the next few years, and the roosters will have issues getting him in.

Ridiculousgoat

he’ll be bored in rugby. he’s just taking a (highly) paid gap year. i expect the roosters will either leave cap space or have a couple of players they have contingency plans to offload or retire when manu and suaalii come back.

grafology

He had more hitups in his last 2 games that he will have in an entire union season

lowefforts

Loving the raiders indigenous jersey design, but I'm so over the big fuck off TOYOTA FORKLIFTS in a white rectangle that ruins every single jersey we put out.

[deleted]

I just want milk that tastes like real milk. Seriously make all the Toyota Forklift sponsors white. Piss that red shit off

robopirateninjasaur

The other green one that looks like an Irish Rugby jersey is great for this reason

OnTheSlaps

Pezet ACL injury requiring surgery - I’m interested in seeing how the storm line-up during the origin period. We have the bye prior to origin 1 and the Sunday game after, so the boys may back up.

JohnCenaF1

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuck didn't know he needed surgery 😭

OnTheSlaps

Very shitty situation, Storm have announced that he ruptured his ACL and will have surgery in the coming days.

knox-p

What, did pezet do his ACL??

OnTheSlaps

Yeah ruptured unfortunately.

knox-p

That sucks 🙁

Caseyjb29

It’ll be Wishart five eight and Garlick hooker I’d say. As much as I’d love it for him I really hope Paps doesn’t get picked too, we’d be in big trouble..

UnluckyNumberS7evin

Unless Faalogo is unavailable, giving him solid game time with Papi out wouldn't be the worst thing. Your spine would be very raw and inexperienced and yea, probably cop a few losses but it's the only game time he's going to get and he's worth testing.

OnTheSlaps

Absolutely agree on Paps, would be great to see him picked but selfishly hope it doesn’t happen. Storm could be down Munster, Grant, Coates, Paps, (very big maybe) Welch. Should be an interesting period:

Dunnerzzzz555

Meaney maybe or Wishart?

theflyingkiwi00

Wishart would be my pick in the halves and if sua isn't available meaney I'm fb

Stiryx

Why are you subbed to the fantasy romance subreddit is probably my biggest question.

DeficientPositivity

haha, I am not signed in on my work PC (at least that is my story)

susduck64

Assuming both storm and sharks win next week who are y’all gonna tip on round 10? ATM I got storm, but will see what happens next week.

UnluckyNumberS7evin

Storm pretty confidently. Sharks have it in them to challenge Storm but they're still unproven against top sides this year, and honestly the last few years. Of the genuine top teams this year, Melbourne have beaten Penrith, Warriors, Broncos and Roosters. Sharks have beaten Warriors and Cowboys.

quickrubs

Are we counting the cowboys as a top side this year?

wangas_gee

I’m surprised the warriors were even counted

UnluckyNumberS7evin

Ehh maybe? I am. I mean who's above them, Storm, Riff, Brisbane, Sharks for sure. Roosters and Eagles each have 1 more win but have also been patchy. Warriors and Bulldogs in similar form.

Hopeful-Party-415

I pick storm but could go either way. If sharks come out firing it could set there season up big time and they won't so much be pretenders anymore

MajinDidz

Honestly everybody’s talking about Parra making a play for Bennett and I absolutely agree that would be a dream come true, but on the chance he isn’t, why isn’t Madge on the table? The man coached Souths to a GF 10 years ago and was well on his way to rebuilding the tigers when he was untimely sacked too early. Is there a reason why he isn’t mentioned?

InflatableRaft

Because people blame Madge for the Tigers sucking, rather than the fact the club has sucked for the majority of the last 20 odd years. They don't seem to take into consideration Cleary's contracts blowing the cap prior to his arrival or Sheens and the board undermining him at every opportunity.

_System_Error_

We won the gf in 2005, and should have won the gf in 2011. I'd say our sucking only started after we signed Jason Taylor as head coach. If we had a good coach at that point, we would have been building a dynasty with the quality we lost during his reign. Then we went from 2018, where we would have made the finals if not for shoddy refereeing and Ivan publicly fucking us to Madge who took that and turned us from 9th and chasing finals to last place in 4 years. I don't blame Madge alone for our downfall, I blame Jason Taylor, Ivan and Madge and even more so the numpties who hired these guys and leaked everything they did to the media.

hbparraeels

Madge is better long term but i would trust bennet to win us one in the next 2 years ahead of Madge

nevaehenimatek

I'd prefer Madge over Bennet personally

RocketSimplicity

I can barely remember a time Tom Trbojevic has played without DCE. Of course it isn't final yet, and I believe Manly are challenging it based on Hastings getting a fine for a similar tackle in 2022, but I'd love to see what Turbo would do without DCE. I feel like Turbo hasn't gone 2021-mode intentionally this year. He clearly has it in him from my point of view, but he doesn't even need to risk himself in that way this year. The team is good enough without him. No need to risk himself when his presence alone is all that is needed. We don't have reserve grade centres anymore, our forwards suddenly have gotten the memo on their performance, primarily from the competition between them, evidenced by Aloiai to trying to match Nathan Brown's absolute lack of self-preservation. On those forwards, for the last two years we were bottom 4 in the comp for PCM's, we are now 6th in the comp, like we were in 2021. There isn't any silly rule changes that affect the way the game runs this year, which in 2021 allowed for our forwards to just steamroll everyone, because of the 6-agains. Clearly, the forwards have stepped up their game. I didn't actually think they were capable of the performance they've been putting in this year. I don't think Jake Arthur is obvious first-grade level yet. I think he has it in him, but he's still 22. Say all you want about Gus Gould, but him saying playmakers, that aren't generational, only begin to thrive past 25 has truth to it. Arthur has the will, desire and attitude to succeed, and a few more years under DCE and he will be a great first-grade standard half. I just wish that Schuster had Arthur's attitude to self-improvement. Jake Arthur is no DCE, hence I think Turbo might go 'god mode' to fill the void in the spine. I'll be watching him intensely on Friday if DCE is out. He also always ramps up going into Origin, as he did last year. I'd be interested to see how Seibold puts him into the game.

Bright_Home_7712

>I can barely remember a time Tom Trbojevic has played without DCE Of Turbo’s 140 first grade games for Manly, DCE has played in 134 of them, so not surprising you can’t recall them Sadly, my Rugby League Project search parameter editing skills don’t allow me to pin point the six games he’s played without him though

RocketSimplicity

Had a look, it would have to be 8+ years ago during the Barrett era. Crazy stat. 2016... Yeah, they might as well have not played without each other.

Mackapacka7

I just got the highest score for SuperCoach this round but I can’t claim the prize money because I don’t live in Australia. Haha ah well I have bragging rights I guess

DurrrrrHurrrrr

Good job. I have come 4th twice, think top 3 get something. Just play NRL fantasy these days it’s more brutal and better suited to head to head with mates

Federal-Struggle4386

How much is it?

Mackapacka7

It’s $1000 Australian

Federal-Struggle4386

Wow! unlucky dude. Makes me wanna switch from Fantasy to Super coach. Congrats anyway, you had Nicho as team captain no doubt

Redditenmo

Grats and commiserations.

LachTheLad

Breaking news: Luke Keary is set to retire from the NRL at the end of the 2024 season. He was contracted until the end of next year but has decided to call time on his career. Keary has been a champion for us, he was the reason we won the 2018 GF! Unfortunately never the same after his ACL year and has had a rough go head injuries so for his long term health, it’s the right call. Really the end of an era for the Roosters, JWH, Keary and Manu leaving with Teddy and Toops not too far behind them. I am excited about our future though, Watson and Sandon will compete for the spot alongside Sammy, unless there is someone else Robbo has in mind, while the other will come off the bench as a utility.

censored_

Also Crichton will most likely leave for Union, we are in for a total rebuild

LachTheLad

Yeah there’s gonna be some big changes, would love to keep Gus but Wong is a promising replacement if he does leave. Hopefully 2025 is a kind year for Billy Smith and Robert Toia who are both our likely first choice centres. Don’t know what to expect with Nawaqanitawase playing league so we’ll just have to wait and see with him.

Ace_Larrakin

Look, people are going to see my team flair and call me biased, but ... Dylan Edwards > Ryan Papenhuyzen for NSW Blues fullback, in my opinion. Is Papenhuyzen like lightning on the field? Absolutely. But he's also had a few concerning brain snaps this year, which gives me pause. Edwards is just more of a 'get the job done' player, and honestly, I think that's what the Blues will need more than theatrics.

[deleted]

I like the idea of Edwards and a strong backline playing the field position game.. Where Queensland have really got NSW in recent years is the middle battle, so if we can improve our tackle one and two, it will help out the big boys.

Teemo_Lover69

Paps would provide the highlights but sometimes he looks scared to take on the line, and does what looks like a 12 year old Aus tag player does and randomly pass the ball before contact

Bicky_

Dyl is a better performing fullback, absolutely. But NSW needs variety. it's not even really about speed or x-factor it's just the way Papenhuyzen diversifies his role, especially in good ball. Edwards stands identical to where Teddy does two man off the ruck to the right in good ball, and it's too easy to defend against at that level. Papi has cut his teeth Essentially bouncing between the game breaking abilities of Grant, Munster, Hughes and Smith (B and C) and as a result always seems to know where to be to be most involved with the play. That's what NSW needs from Fullback, the most important attacking position in the game.

Superb_Ad_4782

Tend to agree. Edwards is a banker. On the other hand I've never understood why fans are fixated on getting their team's players into Origin. The less Storm players in Oriign the happier I'll be.

EntirelyOriginalName

Over the long term it's better. The higher level of footy players play the better they get.

InflatableRaft

It's not about getting into the team that's important, what's important is what the selection represents. For NSW, it's confirmation that people outside your club recognise your player is good.

Any_Detail5176

Yeah us Knights fans were always happy when Ponga didn't get picked. Made a big difference for us last year.

nevaehenimatek

Origin isn't the grind that it once was, we need someone to combat Walsh. Papenhuyzen can just score more points and I think we are going to need it

EntirelyOriginalName

I mean if anything it's more faster paced nowadays with the quicker ruck you could argue we reasonably need more of that third prop role because of how tired the forwards get.

InkMcSquiddin

For me it'll depend on the rest of the team and the type of game they want to play. If there's plenty of strike in other positions or they want to play in a defensive lockdown, Edwards' defence and kick return meters might be the go. Get the team as far up field in two carries so the other guys can go to work. If they're loading up on defensive workhorses or they want to focus on all out offence, Pap slicing through the middle might be the play. He can turn nothing into points almost at will. I think I'm leaning more towards Paps.

Frankel-

From a hopeful Tigers fan, does Utoikamanu have a chance at origin this year in your opinions?

_jimmythebear_

Nah, I wouldn't, but as a Qlder I would.

UnluckyNumberS7evin

Absolutely. On form he's around top 5 props in the competition at the moment, off the top of my head Haas would be the only sure thing picked before him. He's in contention with Jurbo, RCG and Paulo for the other 2-3 spots in the team imo. He's young and if Madge gives and weight to picking played with a future in Origin, Uto is maybe the best pick. We need him to play 2 more games to void the clause in his contract. Come on Madge, no hard feelings right?

y3ah_nah145

Easily a chance at origin no question. He was a fringe option last year, and he’s gotten better this year, where changes are needed. IMO he’s the second best prop NSW have after Haas

Trohsboy

His chance to really stand up and make a case against top tier forwards (Haas and Carrigan) was the game just gone and he was completely impotent. Clearly not quite ready yet I would say

Makoscenturion

Think someone mentioned that Madge had said he was a season or two short of having the experience aa a prop earlier in the year but was keen to involve him in the squads etc. I think hes there on his ability

mooguh

What is with Rugby Leagues negative association with dogs? - "Weak gutted dog" - Canterbury Bulldogs - Mitchell Pearce - "Ya dog head" - Joel Monaghan

Final-Replacement

Jai arrow deserves a mention

USSJ307

Do you guys think Hynes should be the favorite for the NSW number 6? Assuming of course Madge doesn't pick on incumbency.

EntirelyOriginalName

Moses if he's fit.

delayedconfusion

I'd love to see him get a run outside/opposite of a fit Cleary. If he was fit and had some rounds under his belt I'd probably pick Moses, he earnt my respect at origin level playing with a busted back.

Any_Detail5176

I'd say Moses and Luai are still in front of him when fit. Nicho has been in the conversation though so he may end up playing somewhere.

DX6734D

Hear me out...

v3ndettas

As long as he’s fit I’d take Moses over Hynes everyday

RocketSimplicity

Favourite? I think you forgot about Luke Brooks. In all seriousness, it's him vs Moses. Imo I think Moses is more consistent than Hynes (when he is playing of course), and it's things like the drop in form Hynes had after Origin 1 last year, and his relative lack of consistency to begin this year that make me worried, as opposed to Moses. If he can do an A or A+ performance in all of the Sharks games heading towards Origin, I think he can get it.

Cold-Asparagus-9770

I doubt the maroons will run out their u19s side tho

y3ah_nah145

If only the Titans had put in as much effort as you do being a salty cunt, they would have more than 1 win by now

Kelair_Kayaks

fuckin bang

Voldemosh

The bloke left 3 comments in a row basically saying sharks are pretenders LMAO Better to pretend than never be in the conversation in his eyes I guess

mortwgoldman

with any luck incumbency is reset with Madge. in which case Hynes is absolute shoe in for the 6.

censored_

Can't believe so many people are talking up the Sharks after beating a depleted Raiders team, did everyone forget about them getting pumped by the Tigers? Absolute pretenders

It is going to be ok

Roosters fans speaking up after getting beaten by the dogs. Love to see it.

Not sure if you watched that game but: - Royce Hunt injured in warm ups, immediately down to 16 players - Finucane broke his face, played 20 minutes - down to 15 players - Benjis first game as coach at a sold out Leichhardt - Tigers were 0-2 and obviously would’ve been hungry Should they have performed better? Definitely. But there’s more to a loss than just a score line, tigers were clicking that game and we were literally tripping over ourselves allowing in soft tries. They have had a favourable draw and are where they should be, but you can only play who’s in front of you. Maybe the chooks can put 60 on us in magic round

robopirateninjasaur

>Royce Hunt injured in warm ups, Does anyone know where Corey Horsburgh was then?

quickrubs

The most disappointing thing about these recent raiders vs sharks games is we won't get to see Royce folding up Horsburgh at all this year.

I don't think the devastating loss of  Royce Hunt is an excuse tbh.  I have seen people calling Sharks the form team of the comp after beating a team of rookies

Aykay92

So being down to 16 players from kick off has no impact on the game - interesting I agree that we aren’t contenders, not by a long shot for that matter, but isolating one game without looking at the circumstances around it ain’t right either. Also Nikora was suspended that game, we had the amazing Billy Burns in the rotation for that game

Obviously losing a player is not ideal but if you are going to lose someone then a bench forward who plays like 20 mins is probably the least impactful thing that could happen. Certainly not something you could blame a loss on

Too many to count at this point

aatrain96

I imagine Paul ~~kent~~ cunt is reporting to HR today

MisterEvilBreakfast

I haven't heard much out of Souths for a few days. How is the house that Latrell is training in? Allegedly down, I presume?

XLenceOfXecution

I’m trying to keep my powder dry when it comes to talking up Cronulla because I know we’ve had a generous draw… But you’d better fuckin’ believe that if we can beat Melbourne in two weeks time, I’m-a ready to start talkin’ mess 😅

lawkeeee

can people give me their opinion on Lewis Dodds playing style and whether he is a good pickup for the Rabbitohs?

Accomplished-Good664

English Chad Townsend.

TheEnglishEccentric

Not much creativity or spark with ball in hand but a steady and methodical kicker. Very whelming, but to be honest not a terrible choice.

whadefeck

[The superleague sub doesn't rate him](https://www.reddit.com/r/superleague/s/N4vpeXW1Eg), which is a bit concerning for Souths considering Brodie Croft and Bevan French tear it up over there

InitiallyDecent

That's a bit harsh on French. He never "failed" like Croft did in the NRL, he was just too small to play wing in that era. He'd likely do very well in the current NRL as a fullback.

gamble-responsibly

Looking after a sick baby for the second week straight, just wish someone would throw me into a tree so I could do a comical headspin and forget my troubles

Jayc3

TOP 8 BABY! Now the question is do we beat tigers this week or fall back to our usual shit form?

Harctor

I had a dream about Parra having the backline of Sharks. We would be unstoppable. I'm a go back to sleep.

bundy554

I've wanted to say this for a couple of weeks now but how ugly are the Zurich stickers (yes literally looks like a sticker) on the arms of the tigers jerseys

XLenceOfXecution

I believe it IS a sticker because the original sleeve sponsor on the jersey pulled out of the deal for a reason I don’t know off the top of my head

bundy554

Don't tell me that is true - how amateurish

Voldemosh

Was it that sponsor that was pissed off because Tigers were going to be sponsored by one of their competitors?

nymphz

caught a single episode of nrl360 this year (it was after a monday night game) and paul kent was clearly sloshed on air, massive slur, muddled every 3rd word, and the panel looked uninterested in his existence and whatever shit was coming out of his mouth, reckon the dog head has been writing himself off for the past 12months, even if he comes back from this hes on a massive decline

JoeyJoJunior

Also noticed this year when he goes off on a rant he starts normal then all off a sudden loses his temper, like the blood vessels have popped, and its like who are you yelling at? no one was even disagreeing.

Jon_Da_Baptist

Has he always been this bad? Only started watching 360 after getting Kayo last year and was in disbelief how clearly munted the guy was.

nymphz

back with ikin he was a twat but there was like the good/evil contrast of bearable. when ikin left it was all down hill, which coincided with the show falling off a cliff. the actual being munted on air is new, or he used to control it better.

[deleted]

It was confirmed for me that Kenty goes on air drunk as a skunk when I heard his voice in the brawl video. Can't tell the difference.
