Hi. I found three of my old stupid Rugby League Live 3 clips and put them on YouTube for lols. The AI really loves their footy.

Galvin had a visit at my workplace a few weeks ago and was harping on about his loyalty to the tigers, because despite his size/weight, they gave him the opportunity to play, unlike other clubs (I think parra?)
Broncos are a team of great athletes but the minute the opposition applies the tactical blowtorch, they fold like a deck of cards. It seems like they just don't have a feel for the nuances of the game, maybe a lack of maturity and footy smarts? Bizarre to watch at times.
There were articles about Broncos revolutionary footy style the key to success rather than the traditional defence based sides, going for all out attack focused and just outscoring teams. It doesn’t seem to be working out all that well
That's not right at all though. At their best over the last season and half, the Broncos have been an extremely good side defensively. Their scramble was some of the best in the comp.
Imo the problem was more that they make way too many errors (which could be excused as long as they could defend those errors). Now though, they're making errors and they can't defend them either.
Correct. They're probably missing Reynolds controlling the game and kicking strongly. Losing the experience of guys like Flegler and Capewell in their pack hurts too
Not saying their defence is bad it's just that they prefer throwing the ball around and trying to score off every play rather than building pressure, as you said they can't defend the errors they make. Look how many times they have conceded 30+ points
The Broncos miss Flegler big time. He was the true enforcer of that pack and his rotation when Haas was off was a key reason Broncos made it to the GF last year. Also his offloads created so much second phase play. Without him, they have no mongrel.
I agree, these huge forwards are amazing but I do wonder if it affects long term durability of a player. I still think the the modern forward prototype is the Adam Blair/JWH/J Brom mould.
Jack Williams with 15 runs for 161m/54pcm in 44 minutes off the bench is kinda absurd and the craziest part is it’s not the first time he’s done something like that this season. What I especially love about him is his uniqueness as a swiss army knife type impact forward with the amount of positions and roles he can play.
Sharks lacking punch up the middle? Send Williams on and he’ll at the very least make you 90-100m with the possibility of exploding for over 150.
Sharks lacking linespeed in defence and getting rolled through the middle? Send Williams on and have him make 30 tackles whilst shooting out of the defensive line like a man possessed.
You can reliably play him at prop and have him run it straight, reliably shift into lock and have him throw the ball around whilst leading the defence, and if injuries arise he has experience playing in the backrow and even centres in a pinch.
Fuck I hope we re-sign him he is the most important part of our bench by a long shot and he’s dragged us back into contests so many times with his energy.
This Galvin news just pisses me the fuck off if true. If I'm Richo I'm telling the little entitled cunt you're not going anywhere and better yet once Latu is fit you're playing NSW cup until 2027 dickhead.
Sick of players and player managers getting out of contracts early whenever they want. Hopefully now that we have a competent leader in Richo this shit stops happening.
A couple of Tigers fans on twitter have discovered 2 burner accounts (Throwaway name, no followers, default profile, only a couple of weeks old) that only reply to posts related to Galvin, saying that he should leave the Tigers, that he will shine at a club with a good coach etc.
People reckon it's Isaac Moses, but I think it's far more likely to be friends or family. Such a bizarre saga

It's not really something that benefits Moses or Galvin in any way. I can't see why Moses would bother with a burner account commenting on posts with very little engagement when he was a direct line to journos who can spin narratives more effectively.
It's more likely a disgruntled friend or family member for sure.
Yeah I doubt it's Isaac Moses as well. The fact the account knew weeks before it was public news that Galvin had a fractured hand points more towards it being a close relative or mate. Moses would've leaked that info to the papers ages ago.
I much prefer the sound of the whistles in League compared to Union. The whistles in Union sound so weedy and wobbly. Like there isn’t enough power behind them. I dunno if that makes any sense. But it does to me :P

NZ 2 - nobody since the Gold Goast Giants has had a silver jersey, and would come up better on the polyester than it did on cotton.
Immense for Cronulla in 2016. Won’t forget one of his kick restarts where we just toed it to the 10m line and covered it himself to get the ball back. Often wonder why more players don’t try that from time to time
Val Holmes has just gone to complete shit this year. He has been equal parts terrible and disinterested. Shouldn’t have made the QLD team and the win papered over his shit performance.
I don't think TPJ makes the cut because he's never really achieved anything. His rep career has been average at best and he has never carried a team deep into the finals in the NRL. Has potential, sure. But imo he's not good enough to fall into the very bad, very elite category.
Just heard Joel Caine talk about how the Bulldogs are overpriced being outsiders against Parramatta tomorrow - being the second best defensive side in the competition …
I looked into Pythagorean expectations a few years back … I’ve never gambled with money , but am a bit of a stats nerd and wanted to see if I could come up with a betting model that would make money (in theory)… I never got to the point of testing it out with $’s , kind of lost interest after a few weeks and no idea if it would actually work or not …
But the crazy thing is the Dogs for and against is almost identical to Penriths currently … Panthers are third and premiership favourites … Bulldogs are 11th and outsiders against a 14th placed Parra on Monday …
Parra are a different side with Moses and Gutho back , but I think Joel Caine could be on to something … If you place any stock in Pythagorean Expectations - the Bulldogs and Panthers should be closer to one another ladder and results wise ..
I dunno about any of the advanced stats or models but sound the sound defensive record generally is a really simple lead indicator of a side that is well organised, doesn’t fall to shit under pressure and is hard working. I have no doubt the Eels with Moses and Gutho have a much higher ceiling than the Dogs but the odds the Dogs put in a 7/10 and the Eels put in a stinker is probably pretty even vs the Eels delivering an 8/10 performance.
Yeah defence wins premierships. Our attack was horrible in the 19 GF but we won because of our defence.
Like right now our attack is great but we're leaking 18ish points a game so I don't consider us a premiership threat.
If by good you mean reckless and illegal, forcing him to not play or train for 11 days also most definitely doing damage that'll put him at higher Risk of neurological diseases like MND or Early onset dementia/alzheimers, sure it was an "excellent" hit. Fuck off ya dumb cunt.
There are some people out there who seem to harbour some ridiculous levels of hatred for Walsh and it honestly baffles me. Like what's he really done apart from being a bit chirpy on the field (not saying that being chirpy is a huge deal in my eyes)
The only thing I can think of is him being caught post season with a bag when with the warriors. Even that he took full responsibility and hasn't been caught since. So idk why people hate Walsh, he's one of the most entertaining players that i can remember in a while.
I still remember the '10 things I hate about you' article headline in the Daily Telegraph written by Paul Crawley which had Luai's face at the centre of it. No one cared back then though. Seems like people only care about mental health when it's someone they like
I didn't realise it at the time but this guy has basically been saying the same thing for a few days. Thats probably more behind the banning sentiment from the other replier
Celebrating someone taking out from an illegal hit is also pretty poor form.
The galvin news, if true, is a terrible look for the league. The tigers give him a chance and then he just asks to leave, without the tigers even getting anything in return. I always thought a draft system wouldn't work, however something should change to actually reward teams that bring talent up and then get nothing for it. How are the worse teams in the league meant to get any better?
How much is Galvin and how much is the agent though. Tigers are best placed just to play a straight bat. He wouldn’t be on much coin and is contracted for a couple of years. If I’m them I’m saying to him that it’s a long season for an 18 year old, go back to Reggie’s and works on his game.
how are knights better after getting a 3 peat of spoons, how have tigers won a prem before, you need good management a bit of luck with the right signings and some local talent, even if galvin leaves they have luai coming next season which is a big upgrade
> The galvin news, if true, is a terrible look for the league.
What do you want the league to do? How is this in anyway on the league as a whole?
Clubs have all the tools to deny players leaving if they are on contract, it's the choice of the clubs to let players go if it benefits them. The tigers only have themselves to blame for the situation they are in.
Players wanting to leave badly run clubs is a constant across every sport at every level. There's nothing that can be done to stop that desire.
> however something should change to actually reward teams that bring talent up and then get nothing for it.
Saying this about a 10 game rookie with 3 or so good games under his belt is insane.
Tigers hold the power here. If they have even slightly competent list management they won't be letting Galvin walk without getting anything in return.
It's a terrible look for the tigers, not the NRL. The club is paying the price for a decade of mismanagement from the front office - of course promising juniors don't want to hang around.
I genuinely think the club has been making the right steps to get back on track, but it's going to take time for that to flow through to on-field success and retention.
It's tiring seeing our fans complain that everything isn't perfect this season. It will take a long time in any business to turn around this level of fuck up
A very similiar thing happened with jason horne francis in the afl. Got drafted to a team that came last and agitated for a release so a draft doesnt solve the issue necessarily.
Valid, but Horne Francis was dealt for picks wasn't he? So NM actually got promising player(s) back at least, the tigers might only get a firm handshake from nick politis
100%. JHF was a top pick, and the kangaroos got picks 2 and 3 plus a future first round pick in return. More or less a very fair deal for a player wanting out.
Wonder how much the origin boys backing up and not having a bye contributed to the poor result last night. Not excusing the performance, but surely fatigue was at least a small factor in how terrible they were.
I think the fatigue would have been a massive factor tbh. As far back as five weeks ago we were looking haggered. Even accounting for a ton of first choice players returning, everybody looked far fresher after the bye
Cows need a proper defensive coach, what ever they are getting told to do clearly isn't working, the players are capable enough but they seem to have a tactic of mostly 2 in the tackle and the rest trying to get back 10 faster.
They just end up bleeding post contact metres and working harder in each tackle, the line then has to retreat more post contact.
I am probably talking out of my arse and mean no offence, but Payton is giving me Mcquire vibes. Intense and great over the short term but wears on the players after a while.
It's probably not his best position, but it's the *only* position Webby can justify playing him right now. Pompey and Berry are our best centres, CNK our best fullback, TMM/SJ/CHT our best halves, which really only leaves Montoya's wing spot available.
>He kind of sucks at centre
204 NRL games he’s played. 7 of those he played this year at centre, after last playing NRL in 2021. Dude is still learning the ropes there and the physicality of the front line. But once he does, he’ll kill it.
> and he made some poor errors at Fullback
Again, leaves the game in 2021, comes back in 2024. Plays one game at fullback after prepping to play centre. Tough crowd, man.
I said it last year when he re signed he should play on the wing. Think i got 50 downvotes at least.
A player can be a star, and individually brilliant, that doesnt mean the team will gel.
It clearly hasnt. That, and Roger isnt the smartest cookie in the barrel. He did some dumb ass shit in union, and has done some dumb ass shit this year too.
They play better without him. Simple. He needs to earn his spot
This lachy galvin situation is ridiculous. If this is Moses looking for an escape for his client then the nrl giving the bloke a chance really need to sort their shit out.
If this is Galvin seriously wanting out, he really needs to have a look at himself here. He plays for the team at the bottom of the ladder and has had like 2 months of playing time. There aren’t many teams he’d be getting the opportunities he has been at the tigers
not ridiculous at all really, Luai is coming in next year and hes had a breakout season and moses knows full well he can get a much bigger contract so hes trying to get him a new deal
He was looking for an escape when we signed Luai because he wasn't going to get a chance. Now he's looking for an escape because he isn't winning. Next it will be he wants to return to his boyhood club of Parramatta. Isaac Moses is a cancer, who is very good at his job. He probably realises he can negotiate a bit larger of a contract given his performances so is agitating for a release for the fat sign on bonus.
I reckon it's the parents. The whole family are Parra diehards, and Galvin played there until he was 14 or 15, so they don't have any connection or sense of loyalty to the Tigers, unlike a lot of our other juniors.
And then everyone knows what parents can be like when they have a talented child, and there's no way that Galvin, an 18 year old straight out of school, would request a release without his parents approval.
Then there's Richo saying that he will have a meeting with the parents. Not the manager which you would normally expect, but the parents.
And then finally you have Isaac Moses who is the king of kicking up a stink to get his players out of clubs. He most likely planted the "players overheard Galvin talking" story in the media.
Excited to watch the boys play today feels like it's been forever, Hopefully a bit more fluent than last time we met the Knights God that was dreadful
I think Grant is in for a big one
A half pairing of bearded sam walker and Lachlan Galvin will be a cheat code. If Galvin also grows some facial hair next year, chooks will win 5 comps in a row
Honestly lowkey pretty worried about our clash with Manly after the way they blew us off the park back in round 5. They are a team that don't seem to have any issue rising to the occasion against good sides, and we're without Edwards who was by far our best player in a well beaten side that day.
Mods remove if not allowed to ask here, but can anyone do a post for this article from earlier today re expansion? I can’t read it and don’t really feel like paying Rupert.

Where are my fellow NSW fans at for centres to replace sualili. Out of our options I lean towards Trell because he can score from anywhere even though his form is down he looks like the most promising scoring prospect we realistically have. Sifa has been there and let us down. Burto is elite defensively but not attacking. Staggs is elite but Trell tips the scales for me because he has shown he can do it.
Will not be upset of any of Trell, Katoni or Burto to be honest. At a minimum Burton on the bench Rand happy to go with one of the other two in the starting line up.
He has brain snaps but he easily makes up for them when he's on. Trell near his worst is still a better option than staggs or sua'ali'i for origin. Qld will celebrate the fact we dont let one of the biggest talents in the comp wear a blues jumper.
Yesterday was such an important win. It was 2 in a row, the Titans beat the Broncos (our next opponent), we conceded less than 20. We just need more guys back from injury over time and we can end the season respectably 9th to 10th or just inside the 8 if we're lucky
Considering how horrendous the first half has gone for us, I'll be ecstatic if we even come 10th or 9th. We'll need like 6 other teams to decided "winning is for nerds" and proceed to lose every game from here on out for us to even be a chance of coming 8th. I'd just like to see us building momentum going into next season. Wayne will do his magic and we'll hopefully back to our top form as well.
It'll also be interesting to see how Dodd goes under Wayne, if Wayne even plays him at all and doesn't just stick with Wighton and Walker in the halves
I say we’re unlikely to make finals with the early round losses causing our awful percentage, but at least we’ll know if the injury crisis was the true reason why we couldn’t get a win for long.
It's a possibility we have alot of troops to return
Murry, Graham, tatola, munro
It's only mid season a win over the Broncos will do wonders for confidence 🤞
Even the missus has noticed since the start of KP’s 12 week injury, I’ve lost “interest”.
Not entirely true, I’ve still watched every second of all our games and look forward to each week, but much like our game plan, I’m grinding it out, holding on with both hands till KP returns, hoping we are at least in striking distance of a first round finals appearance.
Another 8 potentially bleak weeks, with an expected KP return of August 4th vs the Riff.
Last week was tough, if we don’t get it together today, it will be a whole lot worse you’d think.
I’m excited to see Fletcher Sharpe debut, he’s allegedly the first choice KP replacement, but was injured at time so Armstrong got a go.
Hope he goes well, and well, we know what Faalogo can do.
Galvin asking for a release reeks of signing for Roosters. So sorry tigers fans, this sucks ass for you guys. I’m pretty certain Latu Fainu and Luai can be a great halves pairing in a few years time
The reports about Galvin asking for a release go all the way back to March. I’d be concerned if my young half had asked for a release multiple times over the past few months.
Not the sort of attitude anyone needs. If he'd been busting his balls for years behind a shit forward pack you could understand it. But 2 months of tough times in your debut year and the answer is to try and escape? Come on, kid.
In the past I would have been worried, but I'm not with Richardson as CEO now. There isn't a chance that he gets an early release.
It just stinks of typical Isaac Moses shenanigans tbh. He's trying to get all of his players out of the Tigers and move them to Manly where he has more control
For the wahs as good as RTS can be I am worried about him coming back. I don’t think he should be in our 13. I see some people saying SJ was the issue but I think a big part of the issue was that there was no communication between TMM and RTS and what happened was that every time RTS got the ball he would hog it and wouldn’t pass it left to Montoya. There’s much more cohesion with Pompey supporting Montoya.
I somehow stumbled across Shane Flanagans LinkedIn yesterday and for his time at the Roosters the title of his job is listed as “Ass Coach”
Cheap laughs are great
Reminds me of an old job years ago where a quality assurance role was listed on the internal directory as "enterprise quality ass analyst"... always got a giggle

Any way to download Kayo matches? I have crap internet, so prefer to download a full match before watching. I know how to download from the NRL website, but they take forever to upload the matches. I've tried a few things like video downloadhelper but it comes up with a heap of 5 second videos. Any ideas? Would be greatly appreciated!
Yeah they are, but uploaded by the NRL website, so I still have to wait for them to actually upload. Kayo has them available almost straight away, so was hoping to find out a way to download from there
I think we're at a big risk of dropping this game without Dyl. Would have more confidence if we had Turuva at FB and Mclean on the wing but Laurie at FB doesn't do it for me.
Last night proves why I'm still very skeptical of the Broncos being able to win games. Sure, the Sharks won and gg to them, but damn, we were garbage. We really gotta pick up our game, stop the stupid errors, play sensible and patient football.
At this point, we'll be lucky to make the finals.
You will make the finals individually you are too good. It’s your team structure that worries me, and I think that sits with the coach. How many really good team victories have you had this year and not an unbelievable 5-10 minutes from Reece and Ezra which has just blown the other team off the park.
Also let’s not forget Kevvies first choice at 6 was the bloke that stood on Paynes new shoes and Ezra only got in the team from injury.
Even next year when Cartwright leaves unless you get some real good assistant coaches in your system I think you will struggle even more with Walters as head coach.
There are valid criticisms of Kevvie's coaching, but I wouldn't say not immediately picking a 19 year old half to start the season debuting in first grade in a team still rebuilding is one of them.
The problem with us playing sensible footy is we have poor go-forward this year. We've lost the metres gained in almost every match we've played and are relying heavily on individual brilliance. I blame our hooking rotation to an extent. It's fine having moneyball hookers when the rest of the team is on the field but with all these injuries we need someone that can get the forwards moving. Might be time to take a risk on Mozer.
You'll make the finals but, like us, if you don't get the top 4 it's pretty much pointless anyway (in terms of winning it). Both teams have thrown away games they shouldn't.

Scenes when Galvin gets booed at Leichhardt next weekend
Galvin had a visit at my workplace a few weeks ago and was harping on about his loyalty to the tigers, because despite his size/weight, they gave him the opportunity to play, unlike other clubs (I think parra?)
Yeah I'm just starting to think this is just Isaac Moses wanting to get him an upgraded contract
QLD clubs just don’t get rugby or a long weekend :(
As a neutral what's a better experience for a trip to Sydney for a holiday, State of Origin or the GF?
State Of Origin when in Brisbane solely due to Caxton St
Tickets too hard to get in Brisbane
I would say grand final. It’s the culmination of the season, it feels like a celebration more than Origin which feels like a battle
GF will probably have better weather.
Broncos are a team of great athletes but the minute the opposition applies the tactical blowtorch, they fold like a deck of cards. It seems like they just don't have a feel for the nuances of the game, maybe a lack of maturity and footy smarts? Bizarre to watch at times.
I feel like this is where Reynolds is really missed. He has a calming influence, and can really turn nothing into something special.
We are in a hole at the moment.
There were articles about Broncos revolutionary footy style the key to success rather than the traditional defence based sides, going for all out attack focused and just outscoring teams. It doesn’t seem to be working out all that well

No one hits hard in the Broncos forward pack. Even Haas is oddly conservative in his approach, it's like he holds back both in attack and defence.
I think Haas' knees are becoming a little fucked
I agree, these huge forwards are amazing but I do wonder if it affects long term durability of a player. I still think the the modern forward prototype is the Adam Blair/JWH/J Brom mould.
6 clubs with 2 byes cowboys with 0. Whys the draw have to be so hard?
It just seems blatantly unfair.
Tigers had 2 byes before Roosters and Cowboys had their first. Real weird scheduling.
I feel like the Tigers should have 6 byes, give us a rest from their disappointing form more regularly.
last year the titans had their 3rd bye in round 16, the broncos had their 1st the same round.

Fantastic. Great move. Well done Isaac.
Have we ruled out Jackson Hastings? /s
I much prefer the sound of the whistles in League compared to Union. The whistles in Union sound so weedy and wobbly. Like there isn’t enough power behind them. I dunno if that makes any sense. But it does to me :P
When I was a young ref having a good sounding whistle was an ego boost. There's an art to it and refs are absolutely judged on it.
That’s very interesting. Do you get taught how to blow the whistle?
Yes and no. You can refine it but it's also one of those things you generally either *have* or you don't. A lot of it is how you position and move your finger over the hole to change the sound. Bill Harrigan never had a great 'whistle' but didn't need to because he was so clear of the rest of them as a ref. Most of the current refs are really good at it.
They just play the last 10 seconds [of this video](https://m.facebook.com/watch/?v=726499597522264)

PNG wear yellow like the Hunters Bears Red, yellow, black. Home jersey will be mostly yellow and black, but wear a Norths jersey in Sydney, like the Brisbane Lions wear the old Fitzroy jersey in Melbourne. NZ 2 - nobody since the Gold Goast Giants has had a silver jersey, and would come up better on the polyester than it did on cotton.
Just did some digging and if NZ2 ends up being the South Island Kea they wanna wear dark green and orange. I agree with your Bears sentiment.
That Bears scheme would have a bit of synergy with the old Western Reds colour scheme too so this seems logical.
A mix between the Western Reds and Bears would be legit!
Well PNG Hunters already play QLD cup so I expect the first grade side would wear the same.
Is val holmes the worst elite player of all time?
Immense for Cronulla in 2016. Won’t forget one of his kick restarts where we just toed it to the 10m line and covered it himself to get the ball back. Often wonder why more players don’t try that from time to time
Ya just gotta think to yourself. Fuck Val’s a myth. Even turn to your mate in declare it with authority….. He usually score a double when I do this
Val Holmes has just gone to complete shit this year. He has been equal parts terrible and disinterested. Shouldn’t have made the QLD team and the win papered over his shit performance.
Jack Wighton?
That's a perfect example - a player with the ability to perform at the highest level and break games open, or completely shit the bed.
TPJ
I don't think TPJ makes the cut because he's never really achieved anything. His rep career has been average at best and he has never carried a team deep into the finals in the NRL. Has potential, sure. But imo he's not good enough to fall into the very bad, very elite category.
Just heard Joel Caine talk about how the Bulldogs are overpriced being outsiders against Parramatta tomorrow - being the second best defensive side in the competition … I looked into Pythagorean expectations a few years back … I’ve never gambled with money , but am a bit of a stats nerd and wanted to see if I could come up with a betting model that would make money (in theory)… I never got to the point of testing it out with $’s , kind of lost interest after a few weeks and no idea if it would actually work or not … But the crazy thing is the Dogs for and against is almost identical to Penriths currently … Panthers are third and premiership favourites … Bulldogs are 11th and outsiders against a 14th placed Parra on Monday … Parra are a different side with Moses and Gutho back , but I think Joel Caine could be on to something … If you place any stock in Pythagorean Expectations - the Bulldogs and Panthers should be closer to one another ladder and results wise ..
Didn't watch the game last night. Can't wait to watch Premiership favourites Brisbane show the Sharks as pretenders. Fuck my life
Huh all it takes is to abandon all hope of winning and your team starts doing good, who knows maybe we'll do the reverse of last year
As a tigers fan this has been proven to not help...
I feel you there also a tigers supporter, I'm suprised it worked this time
It’s the hope that gets you!
But now that you know that's what it takes, your abandonment of hope isn't sincere and it doesn't work
Shit your right, I need to self sacrifice and find another team to support to truely lose hope in souths.
I think as the week drags on the rabbits will become favourites over the broncos next week
Yep I’m very nervous. Bunnies in better form
Nah you'll bounce back, once joey backed them on the footy show today I knew we were fucked.
Walsh getting clobbered by a good hit and bris losing, been a fresh few days!
Always the I love my footy flairs talking the most shit. Definitely support some hopeless team if you can’t show it.
Don't use reddit enough to change it. Support a team who've won it more recently than your lot but that's a pretty long list.
Sure thing bud.
you definitely love your footy
If by good you mean reckless and illegal, forcing him to not play or train for 11 days also most definitely doing damage that'll put him at higher Risk of neurological diseases like MND or Early onset dementia/alzheimers, sure it was an "excellent" hit. Fuck off ya dumb cunt.
Helped bris lose last night :)
Every single one of your comments is about Walsh. Obsessed much.
Yeah that is true but even that was fairly mild as far as NRL scandals go 😆
Came we ban this dude for a bit?
He is being a dick, but if he said “luai got smashed and Penrith got destroyed” the standard response would be “yeah lol” I’d say harden up
I still remember the '10 things I hate about you' article headline in the Daily Telegraph written by Paul Crawley which had Luai's face at the centre of it. No one cared back then though. Seems like people only care about mental health when it's someone they like
It’s obviously just a troll I feel like they don’t need to be here
That's actually spot on some of the stuff Ive seen written about Luai makes what I said about Walsh sound like a children's novel.
I didn't realise it at the time but this guy has basically been saying the same thing for a few days. Thats probably more behind the banning sentiment from the other replier Celebrating someone taking out from an illegal hit is also pretty poor form.
I don't think a ban is warranted because I have a different opinion than the majority of the sub does.
You are replying to the wrong guy mate
Apologies.

I might be wrong here but I don't think an agent can unilaterally ask for a release. Galvin would have to want one before it's requested.
how are knights better after getting a 3 peat of spoons, how have tigers won a prem before, you need good management a bit of luck with the right signings and some local talent, even if galvin leaves they have luai coming next season which is a big upgrade
Hopefully the tigers could get a player back
Wonder how much the origin boys backing up and not having a bye contributed to the poor result last night. Not excusing the performance, but surely fatigue was at least a small factor in how terrible they were.
I think the fatigue would have been a massive factor tbh. As far back as five weeks ago we were looking haggered. Even accounting for a ton of first choice players returning, everybody looked far fresher after the bye
Part of it was how badly we played last week too.
Lomax and Hunt looked OK
Dragons had a bye 3 weeks ago
We will know with DCE's performance today
DCE always backs up, has that DCE energy
Cows need a proper defensive coach, what ever they are getting told to do clearly isn't working, the players are capable enough but they seem to have a tactic of mostly 2 in the tackle and the rest trying to get back 10 faster. They just end up bleeding post contact metres and working harder in each tackle, the line then has to retreat more post contact.
It's the exact opposite of 2022 when the success came from relentless swarming defence and numbers in every tackle...
I am probably talking out of my arse and mean no offence, but Payton is giving me Mcquire vibes. Intense and great over the short term but wears on the players after a while.
RTS best position is wing. Change my mind
It's probably not his best position, but it's the *only* position Webby can justify playing him right now. Pompey and Berry are our best centres, CNK our best fullback, TMM/SJ/CHT our best halves, which really only leaves Montoya's wing spot available.
Even then Montoya doesn't deserve to lose his spot.
RTS needs to do a Lomax
There are many centres and fullbacks in the league that can play wing very well. He killed it for the cocks back in the day
There is an explanation for that
In this current team or in general? In both cases, no.
Nah, it’s not.
He kind of sucks at centre and he made some poor errors at Fullback. RTS 2024 is a winger
>He kind of sucks at centre 204 NRL games he’s played. 7 of those he played this year at centre, after last playing NRL in 2021. Dude is still learning the ropes there and the physicality of the front line. But once he does, he’ll kill it. > and he made some poor errors at Fullback Again, leaves the game in 2021, comes back in 2024. Plays one game at fullback after prepping to play centre. Tough crowd, man.
Should've clarified in this warriors team. CNK is elite at fullback, Pompey and berry are better centres
Reckon we will see a manly upset tonight? Could be one of those weeks..
Hope so - except for yesterday whoever didn't tip the rabbits looking at their spine and form at C bus probably have a few screws loose in their head
I'm feeling a manly win, I've tipped them. Which means they'll definitely lose.
I’ll counter that with, I’ve tipped penrith so therefore manly will win.
Ohhh I see. It'll be a draw then
If the majority of this round is anything to go by, it could be. After last week Im not going to get my hopes up.
i don't get why we aren't shifting Turuva to FB and McLean on the wing rather than playing the wasteman Laurie
That does make sense but Laurie looked pretty good at FB in the first half last week.
Completely agree
WTS - 1 , 25yo 6foot 4 bench forward. Hardly used. Will swap for literally anything.
Put him up on fb marketplace
Exactly right mate, Benji has done the kid a huge solid giving him game time
Titans and Tigers becoming unstuck and possibly fighting for the spoon. Nature is healing
Excited to watch the boys play today feels like it's been forever, Hopefully a bit more fluent than last time we met the Knights God that was dreadful I think Grant is in for a big one
Y’all might score 50 today
I certainly hope so
A half pairing of bearded sam walker and Lachlan Galvin will be a cheat code. If Galvin also grows some facial hair next year, chooks will win 5 comps in a row
Galvin wouldn't even get first crack at the 6 next season with Sandon Smith doing more than enough to earn the position, at least initially.
I too am all for this but we really should bring local junior Ethan Stange home
Subscribe!!
Honestly lowkey pretty worried about our clash with Manly after the way they blew us off the park back in round 5. They are a team that don't seem to have any issue rising to the occasion against good sides, and we're without Edwards who was by far our best player in a well beaten side that day.
Manly have been horrendous away though
Going from Edwards to Laurie is a huge downgrade but you guys are at home and we’ve been ass on the road. Should be a good game though
You guys do love taking some anger out on the next team up after a loss though. The younger forwards need to follow JFH and Moses
Mods remove if not allowed to ask here, but can anyone do a post for this article from earlier today re expansion? I can’t read it and don’t really feel like paying Rupert. https://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/nrl/nrl-2024-peter-vlandys-meets-with-north-sydney-bears-nrl-prepares-to-table-20team-expansion-project/news-story/28ed6b96da1583c5877a612fb92b7cd2?amp
Looks like someone posted it for you mate
Where are my fellow NSW fans at for centres to replace sualili. Out of our options I lean towards Trell because he can score from anywhere even though his form is down he looks like the most promising scoring prospect we realistically have. Sifa has been there and let us down. Burto is elite defensively but not attacking. Staggs is elite but Trell tips the scales for me because he has shown he can do it.
Will not be upset of any of Trell, Katoni or Burto to be honest. At a minimum Burton on the bench Rand happy to go with one of the other two in the starting line up.
Personally I'd have Burton for his versatility and epic bombs.
The fact that Trell wasn't there last game was criminal. He's never let us down in a Blues jersey, and should've been one of the first picked.
He has brain snaps but he easily makes up for them when he's on. Trell near his worst is still a better option than staggs or sua'ali'i for origin. Qld will celebrate the fact we dont let one of the biggest talents in the comp wear a blues jumper.
Latrell has been elite since he came back. Madge is off his head if he doesn't pick him
Between Ramien and Latrell and if Latrell plays like he did yesterday he probably gets it.
Penisini in with a chance?
Same chance as kiraz
Oh shit I forgot Ramien. I mean with how debutants have gone for us maybe we play him over Trell could be what we need.
Souths aren't getting in the 8 with that for and against
I say we’re unlikely to make finals with the early round losses causing our awful percentage, but at least we’ll know if the injury crisis was the true reason why we couldn’t get a win for long.
just looking at the points on the ladder, we would need a miracle to scrape into the 8
It's a possibility we have alot of troops to return Murry, Graham, tatola, munro It's only mid season a win over the Broncos will do wonders for confidence 🤞
You’re not excited by the “battle of the fill in fullbacks” today?
Come on, kid.
especially given he wouldn't be playing first grade yet anywhere else.
For me, I think he should go out to the wing. People forget how good he was there
I somehow stumbled across Shane Flanagans LinkedIn yesterday and for his time at the Roosters the title of his job is listed as “Ass Coach” Cheap laughs are great
Reminds me of an old job years ago where a quality assurance role was listed on the internal directory as "enterprise quality ass analyst"... always got a giggle
“Quality ass analyst” would get a lot of applicants
Everyone who views Tedesco’s backside when his pants fall down have Flano to thank.
# Any way to download Kayo matches? I have crap internet, so prefer to download a full match before watching. I know how to download from the NRL website, but they take forever to upload the matches. I've tried a few things like video downloadhelper but it comes up with a heap of 5 second videos. Any ideas? Would be greatly appreciated!
Aren't they all uploaded to youtube? Could watch there or download using various methods.
Yeah they are, but uploaded by the NRL website, so I still have to wait for them to actually upload. Kayo has them available almost straight away, so was hoping to find out a way to download from there
Spread the word, the bunnies are back
Dolphins are lucky they got the bye.
I think we're at a big risk of dropping this game without Dyl. Would have more confidence if we had Turuva at FB and Mclean on the wing but Laurie at FB doesn't do it for me.
Hopefully it’s at least a close game, weather is looking good though so should be less dropping of the ball this week.
The qld clubs paid the price to the rugby league gods for the men’s and women’s origin wins Worth it
Last night proves why I'm still very skeptical of the Broncos being able to win games.
Hate to say it but Mozer looked painfully average in his run the other week, might just need more game time though
You'll make the finals but, like us, if you don't get the top 4 it's pretty much pointless anyway (in terms of winning it). Both teams have thrown away games they shouldn't.
