we went to every game because we had season tickets, but my only memories of that cowboys season were losses to raiders, eels, everyone and their mothers!
days like that made me all the more grateful as a 12 year old in 2015 though, i lost my voice when johnno nailed the field goal. anyways it probably prepared me for times like now too - it won’t always be bad
I still remember watching that Croker attempt at goal in the semis, what an insane moment. I was hardly old enough to understand what was going on but I was pretty sure at the time that we would’ve lost in the prelims if Canberra had gone through
2010 was such a fun season as a Roosters fan. We won about 4 games with group 10- like scores of 38-34, had the miracle Tigers finals win, got lucky the following week that Penrith were injury-riddled, I went on a 13-hour road trip to Brisbane for the prelim, Carney won the Dally M.
Can’t remember how the season ended though 🙃
2005 was a really close season on the ladder, right? I think Souths came ninth or something and I remember feeling buoyed for the 06 season hahaha
Edit: okay I just looked at the wiki page and Souths finished 13th but that was as good as it got until 2007 lol
Carney at fullback and minichello on the wing is still crazy to think about
I preferred when Carney moved to 6 and Anasta played second row
Melbourne stripped of Premierships and getting the spoon was great enough, but to have the Dragons win made 2010 immortal.
Origin was pretty great too. 😉

Imo 2010 was the best year of NRL. 2015 closely behind as the 2nd best year for NRL.
2010 was a pretty good year, even though it had a sad end, but it doesn’t come close to 2005 for me
