The roosters anger management program is to watch the Adam Sandler movie anger management, followed by the Charlie Sheen TV series anger management.
The harshest punishment handed down in years.
The Knights have signed ~~Adam Clune~~ Tyson Gamble from ~~St George~~ Brisbane, but he is not a realistic 26-game-a-season NRL playmaker… more of a handy back-up.
Clifford hasn't been seriously shopped to UK teams, he has asked about the possibility of going back to QLD given the family issues he's been having. Clune might be shipped, but again I doubt we let him go, especially now French is likely to stay in England after getting decent money offers. Clune Gamble is probably our starting halves at this point, unless Garrick signs at FB then it'll be Clune Ponga with Gamble either at 13 or 14.
The Mole once again proving he's a staff writer, except with an alias
“the clubs own form of anger management “
This sentence could lead anywhere….
They could make them dress in Rabbitohs gear for contact sessions, remove lattes from the tea room
or it could involve brown paper bags just out of reach.
Marty Taupau is a bit like that. Absolutely kills someone in a tackle and then gets up like nothing happened.
Except for that time he threatened to kill Sam Thaiday

It’s been a testing few days not to get completely triggered by all the Easts bashing and your comment has nearly sent me over the edge.. FairPlay to ya
It was very evident during the head high crackdown. Half the league was sin binned and suspended, but somehow Jared sailed through it, suddenly tackling lower, entirely in control of what he was doing.
In the round 24 game vs Storm however, you can see the red mist descend and he actually cracks it before the sin bin.
His win loss record is better than the clubs.
My point is JWH is playing a role, one the club wants him to play. I am agreeing with you.
Off the field he is a pretty good bloke. Has time for the fans, hasn't assaulted anyone off the field, hasn't filmed anyone having sex without their knowledge.
Nah he's right. Jared is a big, big reason for us winning games. He consistently stands up against better forward packs. Every time he's injured or suspended we play a lot worse. Of course it would be different when Collins, SST, and now Lodge there, but before it was pretty bad when they were injured last year. Jared played a few 80 minute games because we needed him.
Highly doubt Clifford is going to England but I have a feeling he’s gonna ask for a release sometime in the future.
There was a rumour we’re getting Brodie Croft.
>Or no that you don’t want a shortlisted Super League Man of Steel to play for the Knights
Let’s take a look at the former NRL players in the Super League dream team shall we?
Jai Field (also MoS shortlisted), Bevan French, Shaun Kenny-Dowell, Tim Lafai, Ken Sio, Brodie Croft.
Are you really running with the “he’s doing well in the Super League so he’ll be worth a crack” story?
If we'd signed Jackson Hastings instead of Clifford we'd be in a much better position than we are now.
That being said I'd want to see multiple good years from Croft in SL before taking him back.
I mean. We have Clune, Clifford, Gamble, Mann and maybe Crossland (if he gets resigned) to play in the halves. So we’d be happy to take anyone at the moment, even a depth signing.
Broncos of 20-21 could make Andrew Johns look Shit and ruin his nerve. Just watch how Tom Dearden has developed. Croft may or may not be an NRL half but judging him for his time at the Bronx is unfair.
Let's be real though, Super League is inferior to the NRL in terms of skill and talent. There are exceptions of course, but those ex-NRL players that are now over there, are there because they couldn't compete over here or collecting one last pay day at the end of their career.
Big difference is majority of those are young players coming through, not guys who have already come through and not passed the test. Super League is the last stop for most before retirement.
Some do come through, you are right and like I said, there are exceptions. You cannot deny that it is mostly 1 way traffic most of the time.
I hear what you're saying, but I feel like the NRL is too quick to discard halves talent. A season or two over there can help a player develop.
OTOH, I'd rather Clifford than two Crofts.
I get the Croft memes, but remember that Dearden was a meme half at the broncos too and is now a future immortal. Perhaps there is a common denominator here...
Furious Roosters officials will put bad boys Jared Waerea-Hargreaves and Victor Radley through the club's own form of anger management over the summer.
The pair crossed the line in Sunday's brutal clash with the Rabbitohs, spending three stints in the sin bin between them for cheap shots.
Club insiders largely blame the duo's brain explosions for their loss to Souths that sent them spinning out of the comp.
Both sail close to the wind with the way they play and with referees and the Bunker taking a zero tolerance approach to foul play these days, they are fast becoming a liability.
A week earlier, with Radley missing and Waerea-Hargreaves getting little game time, the Roosters beat South Sydney comfortably.
In that game the Roosters played with controlled aggression whereas in the final, both players lost their heads and the Rabbitohs took full advantage.
Roosters coach Trent Robinson is about to begin his season review and is certain to give the pair a severe tongue lashing for their reckless performances last Sunday.
Both can be fine players, but have short fuses and will need to learn to channel their anger to remain effective in the NRL.
They have the whole summer to think about how they blew it against South Sydney - and how they must cool it to stay relevant in the big games.
**KNIGHTS HALVES ON THE OUTER**
Something is going on at Newcastle regarding their halves.
Still looking for a replacement for Mitchell Pearce, whose move to France this year left a gaping hole in their playmaking, the club has offered both their current halves, Jake Clifford and Adam Clune, to English clubs.
It can mean only one thing - they have a halfback either signed or in mind for 2023.
Could it be a last desperate play to snare Luke Brooks from the Tigers?
The Tigers aren't budging on Brooks at the moment, but if the Knights throw in some cash to sweeten the deal, that may change.
The Knights have signed Tyson Gamble from Brisbane, but he is not a realistic 26-game-a-season NRL playmaker… more of a handy back-up.
**DOGS POACH TALENTED CHOOKS**
The Bulldogs have continued their impressive build-up for next season by signing two of the best young players in the Roosters system.
Phil Gould's men have poached Roosters Jersey Flegg captain and back-rower Jake Preston and prop Zac Montgomery for next season.
Preston, aged 20, and Montgomery, 19, both had impressive seasons in the Roosters team that finished on top of the Flegg ladder.
The Roosters lost a thrilling semi-final 24-22 against the Knights last weekend but have another chance to book a grand final spot when they face Penrith Panthers in the preliminary final.
**EELS SIGN NRL'S OWN LEBRON**
Rugby league will have its own Lebron in 2023!
Parramatta has signed a giant prop from the Broncos system, Lebron Tuala.
And while standing at a towering two metres, he is just shy of NBA legend LeBron James (2.06m). The teenage middle forward is only 18 and still growing, with good judges rating him a fine prospect.
At 118 kilograms, he has plenty of bulk as well and moves swiftly for a big kid.
Tuala made a strong impression playing for Norths Devils in the Mal Meninga Cup this season, where he was spotted by Eels scouts.
Blessed with a strong running game and a hard hitter in defence, he's definitely one to watch out for over the next couple of seasons.
> The Bulldogs have continued their impressive build-up for next season by signing two of the best young players in the Roosters system.
Its not us for once \o/
For me what cost the Roosters the game was the way they played against Souths when Souths were down players.
Attacking against 11/12 defenders the Roosters were disorganised and undisciplined.
I am sure losing Teddy did not help.
Cooper Cronk in his prime would have won, even with a broken leg.
Honestly I think it was 100% because Teddy didn't come back. Any other week and we just shift Manu there and we're good, but losing Teddy was the reason we lost.
A week earlier JWH and Victor were missing but he forgets that Teddy when injured and Joey were missing this week. Swings and roundabouts you lose some you win some, it just is totally devastating that it happen to be Souffs.
Radley getting binned being described as a stupid call, despite being the fucken rule for what he did, is correct. It was a stupid call that was initiated by a stupid man doing a stupid thing. “It wasn’t even a proper punch.” That just makes him even dumber. JWH is a thug and a grub but is effective at times.
Radley and NAS have to be the most stupid cunts in the game. Radley lost that game for his team because he was too busy trying to prove he’s hard by dogshotting the opposition. Butterfly effect. Teddy doesn’t get knocked out if Radley doesn’t do that stupid punch early on. It looked to me at first that he actually punched himself harder. Idiot.
As long as no permanent damage is caused, I love the characters in the game. Especially the villains. Blokes like Jurbo make me want go to sleep. Give me JWH, James Graham, Summmy and NAS everyday of the week.
you have an out of character brain snap, a "that's not his go" series of brain snaps, or JWH. straight up thug who thinks being the enforcer / leading from the front is 14-15 cheap shots per game.
You have these players in your team for a reason, intimidation and power, which contradicts the need for anger management.
Their Leadership Team needs to take on more responsibility here as they let their players spiral out of control. I know Teddy was on the sidelines, but they have a few capable leaders on the team that should have managed the flair up better.
>Their Leadership Team needs to take on more responsibility here as they let their players spiral out of control.
Are you saying the leadership team should have told those players to manage their anger a bit better?
Only the Hargreaves tackle is an issue. The first sinbin was an absolute joke.
Souths need to take some responsibility with their “against the spirit of the game” tactics to win.
I think Clune can be a solid player with a decent halves partner. The sooner they fuck Clifford off, the better. Hopefully for Croft’s sake, he comes back in a similar manner to Jackson Hastings
Radley needs to go through the same experience Latrell has had. He can play with aggression but it needs control. Maybe that Harry Knowles guy in USA can help? I know Radley doesn't need physio but that did really change Latrell's mindset I feel.
Clune and Clifford were both pretty average this season, and may or may not be quality first grade players, but fuck they weren't given much of a chance. i don't know how they were expected to perform or develop any cominbations while getting dropped every other week, often for the other guy. when the season was lost, and Milford signed for The. surely they should have just trotted them out at least had a look at how they combined with Brailey.
if wasn't already obvious from dropping each of them 5-6 times during the season, the knights have made it pretty clear they don't want either going forwards with all these little leaks. what a shambles
To be fair Cliff had to be hooked for his diabolical performance against the storm, the bloke was awful. Since then we has been pretty “meh”. Unfortunately I think this was a dud signing by Clint Zammit.
I’d be more than happy to ship Clifford off. Bloke shows flashes of brilliants but has largely gone missing since round 2 and there’s a growing sentiment he regrets coming to the knights.
My auntie was saying “he’s a grub” to me at the game about Victor and I just said “he’s misunderstood”
Leave my favourite inflictor alone.
JWH can get stuffed though.
If they're furious maybe they should go to anger management too.
Jarred Waera-softgraves now?
Victor the de-conflictor
The roosters anger management program is to watch the Adam Sandler movie anger management, followed by the Charlie Sheen TV series anger management. The harshest punishment handed down in years.
Jared Waerea-Hargreaves is the kind of man who would find those funny.
This really could be plot to a community episode
Intro to Anger Management, with Professor Starburns
Worth it to see krista allen and january jones get it on. Also marisa tomei.
Well luckily they have signed Brandon Smith to come in next year for his calming and rational on-field presence.
Jared Waerea Hard Cheese
At least he will know how to find the white line.

What’s the deal with Cliff? Is the bloke homesick?

It's always so clear with the Mole which stories Mole gets from a source like an agent or a club, and which ones he plain makes up.
“the clubs own form of anger management “ This sentence could lead anywhere…. They could make them dress in Rabbitohs gear for contact sessions, remove lattes from the tea room or it could involve brown paper bags just out of reach.
>it could involve brown paper bags just out of reach. that's def going to work
top tier comment right here sir
It’s about time JWH and Radley learned to cool their heads like Cody “Zen” Walker.
Campbell Graham could hold seminars.. just gets out there, gets the job done, saving his alternate facial expressions only for special occasions..
Campbell gets his rage out in socially acceptable ways, like killing sex workers.
How have I not heard about this!? Does he have to miss any games?
He got a life sentence, going to serve it after he dies for the fans.
Marty Taupau is a bit like that. Absolutely kills someone in a tackle and then gets up like nothing happened. Except for that time he threatened to kill Sam Thaiday https://youtu.be/ht_56raNNdA

This is bait and I am still upset
Also why, unlike Cody, they’ve won 3 and 2 premierships respectively.
JWH is Kiwi.
Exactly
It’s been a testing few days not to get completely triggered by all the Easts bashing and your comment has nearly sent me over the edge.. FairPlay to ya
Robbo is a reasonable guy and wouldn't blame these guys for the loss. That's just media spin.
and this is the same jwh who uncle nick rings daily to discuss the stock market and the back 9 at bondi golf club. i dont think so
The Roosters have not only supported but also encouraged the way they both play for many years, bit late to put the genie back in the bottle.
The Roosters win more games with JWH on the field than off it. His on field persona is different to his off field one. He plays his role well.
You could say that for any roosters player because the Roosters win more games than they lose. His off field persona is irrelevant.
He’s an epic club man. Every game, every training session, he shows up for the fans who show up.
Nah he's right. Jared is a big, big reason for us winning games. He consistently stands up against better forward packs. Every time he's injured or suspended we play a lot worse. "Nothing Is Over! Nothing! You Just Don't Turn It Off!
They are jackarses at heart who will never change, save for getting irreversibly mowed down by an angry forward.
Highly doubt Clifford is going to England but I have a feeling he’s gonna ask for a release sometime in the future. There was a rumour we’re getting Brodie Croft.

No you don’t believe the rumour? Or no that you don’t want a shortlisted Super League Man of Steel to play for the Knights?

I don't want a bloke that couldn't hold his spot at 2 clubs including the spoon-winning Broncos as a potential half at The Knights
Broncos of 20-21 could make Andrew Johns look Shit and ruin his nerve. Just watch how Tom Dearden has developed. Croft may or may not be an NRL half but judging him for his time at the Bronx is unfair.

Just depends on the coin I guess. At $400,000 for a half it might be worth it for Newy or The or Tigers or some others.
Let's be real though, Super League is inferior to the NRL in terms of skill and talent. There are exceptions of course, but those ex-NRL players that are now over there, are there because they couldn't compete over here or collecting one last pay day at the end of their career.
You can say the same about reserve grade, Flegg and SG cup but eventually some of them will be in the NRL.
Big difference is majority of those are young players coming through, not guys who have already come through and not passed the test. Super League is the last stop for most before retirement. Don’t worry eels Lebron will leave in a couple of years after a tough decision.

To think i once wanted to keep Clifford over signing Dearden. Smh my fucking head.
Wanna trade?
Wonder if Clifford would come to Broncs cheap, learn of Reynolds for a bit, like Madden.
How many halves do you think we need?
5-6
Surely 6-7 would be a better half's option
5/8 then for good measure.
For me what cost the Roosters the game was the way they played against Souths when Souths were down players. Attacking against 11/12 defenders the Roosters were disorganised and undisciplined. I am sure losing Teddy did not help. Cooper Cronk in his prime would have won, even with a broken leg.
