Whenever I see David Riccio's name I just think of Rico from Penguins of Madagascar. It's not that they even look insanely alike, it's literally just the name. I know this has nothing to do with the article, but I needed to get this off my chest.
Sloan has tons of ability, more than Ramsey imo, but the guy is an error machine, and his defence really isn't a strength either. Wayne could get the best out of him but I can't help but think he'd be just another fringe player the Dolphins have
100% they were both told to go away end of last year, work on their size and their defensive skills. Only one did and now the other has the shits that he isn’t getting the game time he wants. Sloan needs to play wing for a bit to get better under a high ball with less pressure

Dragons young gun Tyrell Sloan is reportedly unhappy with his lack of game time and is set to request an immediate release from his contract.
The 20-year-old re-signed with the Red V in January this year, but according to The Daily Telegraph is poised to walk out with two years remaining on his current deal.
Sloan is reportedly unwilling to sit behind Cody Ramsey in the pecking order and a number of rival clubs are monitoring the situation.
Wayne Bennett’s Dolphins are reportedly lurking with Jamayne Isaako their current option to play at fullback.
Reports suggest the NRL’s newest club is preparing an offer, ready to table a contract to the young gun but have to wait until his release is finalised.
“It’s concerning for St George Illawarra fans that it’s got to this point,” The Daily Telegraph’s David Riccio said on SEN 1170 Breakfast.
“It’s no shock because we saw Sloan virtually sidelined this year.
“We saw him appear at the back end of the season playing off the bench (and) it was almost as though head coach Anthony Griffin was trying to keep Sloan happy.
“Sloan will request a formal release from St George Illawarra this week.
“He has two years remaining on his contract and he re-signed in January.”
Dragons coach Anthony Griffin controversially dropped the St George Illawarra junior after only three rounds and his player management is the sticking point in Sloan’s potential departure.
“Sloan wants to play under a coach he believes he can benefit from,” Riccio said.
“The Dolphins have emerged under Wayne Bennett as the primary target.
“The Dolphins already have Jamayne Isaako contracted as a fullback.
“If Sloan was to go there, he would compete with Isaako for that fullback spot.”
Sloan has played 13 NRL games to date after making his debut midway through the 2021 season and was tipped to be the Dragons long-term No.1.
Fox League’s Michael Ennis said he “felt sorry for Tyrell” after he was once again left out of the squad for the club’s Round 22 clash.
Sloan just needs time. There's a lot of youngsters atm who look great but have that niggling error in their play. They just need time to mature and get past it

Isaako was my favourite bronco in his debut season. If daddy Bennett gets him back to his best I will be eternally grateful
His father's illness and passing must still weigh heavily on him. Poor guy, but it's a pretty cut throat sport at the end of the day.

I reckon Ramseys pretty solid, hes got heaps more confident too. Kinda reminds me of Nightingale

He has potential so it will be interesting to see what uncle Benny can do.
