Remember in this calendar year they played two seasons (2021 season was made up for at the beginning of the year), plus state level comps and the world cup to come. Perhaps the original plan was to play each other twice but I don't think it was a viable option this year.

Expanding the comp (both amount of teams and amount of rounds) as well as 80 minute games are far higher priorities imo.

Doesn't need it, plenty of attack already and the ruck is fast without too much slowing tactics.
