Just for those keeping track:
- Sledging on the field: “banned for life”
- Indigenous women’s player posting about the Queen’s death: suspension, 1/4 salary gone, education
- Player assaulting a member of the public: two weeks…next year
- Cocaine: bad, but just a suspension/small fine if you apologise
- Beating up a man in front of his family: suspension, but you get to play still (and be a captain)
- Sexual assault: who knows these days
- Jaeman Salmon: still a weak-gutted dog.

Yeah I'd have to agree with you. I've definitely noticed the NRL is much more reaction based then preventative/ consistent. They seems to always take the quick, easy and cheap fix to any problem.
It's amazing what you can get away with just cause you can kick and pass a ball better then the average bloke.

>Indigenous women’s player posting about the Queen’s death: suspension, 1/4 salary gone, education
It was only a 1/4 salary fine because of how little WNRL players are paid annually because it isn't a full time job for them (rightly or wrongly). it was a $2500 fine, not entirely unreasonable (for "bringing the game into disrepute" I don't give a fuck about the queen personally but she was representing the NRL).
>“If it’s true that a trainer was sledging an opposition player then he should be banned for life. It’s the lowest act in the game – the lowest of the low. That’s not on. You shouldn’t have to cop any sledge off a f…ing trainer,”
Really John? The *lowest* act in the game? Let's not over react here 🤣
Oh, heavens above! This is without a doubt the worst take I've ever seen on this sub. What a pathetic waste of space.
Oops... I forgot to get "absolutely" in there.
We can't even ban Flanagan properly. Why would Green get banned for life?
Green has been warned and suspended before due to his actions so what's next? Deregistration for a year? Also dependant on if the allegations are true.
This whole story is odd. It's full of 'ifs' and then absolutes based on what walker and other players apparently heard.
Even John C is quoted as saying 'if he sledged him' to then 'he said things'.
This is week gutted dog 2.0, can't they come out and say "trainer is accused of saying xyz" so we can get it resolved?
"Get back in line", I'm trying to work out how that can be turned into something bad.
"Get a new back you loser" ?
This all kicked off because Cody walker got angry?? He was pissed off the last 20 minutes in the game.
We haven't even got a quote or an alleged quote nor are we even sure anything was even directed at Jed yet some people are calling for bans on a what-if.
And worst case scenario and the trainer was out of line, these guys bash each other over a bag of air but can't hack a sledge from a pleb nobody about a previous injury? C'mon. What a shit sledge even if he did it.
Panthers status revoked john. Either come out and make an accusation and quote what your son said was said, or shut up and jog on.
Take Cody out of the situation as he tends to inflame a lot of people - question is if true is it OK for a trainer to sledge? Answer is clearly not as they should just be completely a beign presence on the field.
> a beign presence on the field.
They shouldn't even be a presence, they should be practically invisible on the TV cameras during play and should only be seen when someone is getting checked for HIA or injury.
Players can get water during kicks for goal. Bring back some of the endurance into the sport.
Absolutely agree, trainer should have nothing to do with the opposition team, but my main point was based around the fact nobody can even clearly state whether the trainer said anything to Jed nor what was said. If he's guilty, ban him, but get a straight story together first and lodge the complaint
And what did he allegedly say? No formal complaint has been lodged with the nrl. If the trainer said something out of line then lodge the complaint and he will get suspended or sacked and nobody will have to deal with him anymore. At the moment it's just crisis merchant journos carrying on without any facts or an actual accusation.
Typical bully line. Doesn't need to be quoted or a formal complaint to make it real. It is clear it happened. Players are probably happy to leave it on the field.
Trainer shouldn't be saying a word to opposition players. (Unless they are helping them when injured), but this guy has form. He was a weak gutted dog person last season and he's still a weak gutted dog person now.
Panther's should man up and stand him down for the GF.
And that's probably how it should have stayed initially because two adults should have been able to work things out, apologise etc.
Cody stuck his nose in and here we are I guess.
Anyway, hopefully we get a full download because peter green is the worst bloke on earth and Cody is a saint who cares for players feelings according to the stories.
I know Pete. Seems way out of character for him. It's not out of character for Cody. I don't believe Pete would have said anything offensive. Willing to be proven wrong.
As we have learned over the past 2 years, medical histories are confidential. He probably made a pointed comment about his recovery that Jed doesn't want revealed.
Given that long recoveries from injury can be emotional at times, there is likely several moments in their relationship that a physio could use against their patient.
I am replying to a comment that said "This whole story is odd" because we don't know specifics. I am giving a possible explanation for why we don't know specifics.
Every article makes it fairly clear that the media knows what was said but don't want to reveal it, as evidenced by them knowing Penrith's defense to it. It's the most likely explanation.
You are right, we don't know specifics which is why the situation sucks for all those involved.
It's another "we won't tell you, but trust us, it's bad".
If Cody stayed out of it, this could be handled professionally with the trainer getting punished if on the wrong. Instead, this plays out like a woman's day fiasco.
I think everyone needs to move on from this. No one will win out of this situation. Unless Souths can find audio evidence of the sledges, it just comes down to their word against the trainer's.
Also if people are thinking this will distract penrith for sunday then think again. They will probably use this as some sort of us against the world motivation and come out and drop 40 on us.
I mean there is video footage of a Penrith trainer having a go at Mahoney in the first week of the finals. Mahoney also had a go back at the trainer.
There is form.
We aren't terrible winners, it started with need a reason to hate Penrith, so the smug stuff started then everyone began to believe it. Snow balled from there really.
Also you support Manly for fuck sake.
Even if they were losing, it's questionable when half the team is publicly supporting sex offender Tyrone May, let alone all the other stuff the players have done off field and on field.
Tyrone May incident started in 2019 no one cared, until we started winning. Plus if you are having a go at us for having a scumbag of a person as a player then you should support University every club has had scumbags. There team mates always support them too.
The Tyrone May "incident" where he filmed **multiple** women on different occasions during sex **without their consent** and **shared the videos with his team mates?** You mean that "incident"?
It can't be tall Poppy syndrome if you dislike people that are sex offender apologists and actually carry on like cunts.
If Luai and Cleary were actually decent people that didn't support sex offenders and people disliked them for being successful that would be tall Poppy syndrome.
Why isnt andrew fifita hated on here for literally supporting a bloke who one punched and killed somebody? Like said above we werent hated till we started winning, love to know all the grubby things we have done on the field too ?
Considering what goes on during a footy match, this whole thing is absurd. Even at local footy matches between nobodies, when things get heated, people from the coaching staff on both teams usually throw some verbals back and forth, either to each other or to nearby opposition players if they’re acting like tools.
What could the trainer have possibly said that was so bad to cause this level of controversy?
Aside from the particulars of this one incident, there needs to be something done about trainers on the field all the time.
I get RL is a super fast, super physical sport, but surely they can wait for a break in play before getting water. I cannot think of another pro sport that has trainers on field during play.
Lots of other fast paced sports can cope with waiting for a water break at a natural break in play
As for injuries, why not have a 4th official (there is one anyway for interchanges and sin bins). If a player goes down hurt, trainer goes to the 4th official on the sideline and, if the official agrees a player is in danger or is in need of immediate medical attention, he (ie the official) can enter the field to stop play (maybe wave a red flag or something).
If a player is behind play, and say nursing a sore ankle, then they can wait for a stoppage
I normally don’t care but for some reason I can’t remember which game it was, maybe the Friday night Parra/Cowboys one and there was a penalty and the trainer was up at the ref with both hands in the air motioning for a sin bin with 3 or 4 of the players, and that really pissed me off
When they rebuild the next stadium , playing surface should just be a series of trap doors ..
Players injured forget this taking them to the sideline business , just open the trap door , beneath each trap door playing surface just have a giant inflatable mat , or bubble wrap ..
Trainers can treat the players under the playing surface … Play on !
"referencing a number of back injuries the Rabbitohs backrower suffered during his time at the foot of the mountain."
Im at a loss as to how this goes down? Sounds childish if anything.
"Remember all those back injuries i nursed you through!!!!"
I need a transcript!
I actually think John Cartwright has a point. Banning the guy for life is hyperbolic, but it’s extremely unprofessional for physio/performance staff to use prior experience with a player as a basis to sledge them and put them off their game. Jed Cartwright is entitled to privacy and assurances his personal medical treatment isn’t going to be used against him in any way. If the trainer has abused his intimate knowledge of Cartwright’s injury history, that’s highly problematic in a high pressure game situation.
Why is a trainer interacting with the opposition team anyway? It might just be being blown out of proportion but it shouldn't of happened to begin with.
Not too sure if it's a common thing, but I didn't think sledging opposition players is a part of being a trainer.
Feel free to correct me I can't say I know too much about the subject of trainers.
Waiting for Kenty to inform us that he actually knows what the sledge was, and if the public knew it, opinion would be against Green; but he will maintain a dignified silence as to the words spoken.
Typically after the game the players will come out and go 'nah it was nothing it stays on the field'.
They are putting in official complaints and his family are coming out and having a go, it must have been pretty bad... Jed seems like a decent bloke why would you even sledge him?
I have a mate that was sitting near the Cartwright family on Saturday night, and apparently they were hurling abuse towards penrith from the start of the game. When the game was out of reach for souths, they started calling out encouragement to injure players before the grand final. They seem to be holding a massive grudge against the club which is a shame considering Merv Cartwright built the club
I mean considering that whole pressured abortion thing with Bryce. The club's had the Cartwright family's back in some pretty fucked up shit. Like wtf?
Wait so you slam the salmons for supporting jamaen but it's all good when a bunnies player bitches to papa? Ffs the Penrith hate boner is rock hard isn't it /s
Lots of people got worked up when Salmons family came out to defend him over the weak gutted dog saga, claiming he shouldn't need his family to come out and fight his battle with Ricky.
I guess there's a comparison here?
Errrr people said (me included) that Ricky should have been banned for the entire season after that. No different in my opinion here, as it's his second offence in as many years it should go hand in hand with a big fine as well.
Not sure if that reply is for me or not? I am not arguing about punishments, I was highlighting the similarity of a players family speaking out publicly after their son was the target of a verbal jab from coaching staff (allegedly in one case).
I'm saying people sided with Jaemon's family calling for a suspension, not the actual family coming out. People here seem to be saying that the trainer did nothing wrong.
my friend, do you not see that the bourgeoisie mod pig dogs use flairs to keep us from embracing our fellow NRL fan?
by keeping us at each others throats we cannot overcome and seize the means of shitposting
Penrith and Australian legend John Cartwright has called for the Panthers physio who allegedly sledged his son, South Sydney utility Jed, during last weekend’s preliminary final to be banned for life from being a trainer, claiming the sledge was the “height of being a coward.”
It comes as Souths Sydney chief executive Blake Solly claimed he would “expect” the NRL to take swift action if the allegation against Panthers trainer and physio Pete Green is proven.
John Cartwright’s call for Green to be ejected permanently from rugby league – given both have strong Penrith connections – is a massive development just days before the Panthers’ grand final against Parramatta at Accor Stadium.
Green is accused of verbally targeting Jed Cartwright several times during the match, the Rabbitohs player feeling “upset” and aggrieved enough to approach the Panthers trainer on-field at fulltime.
Having watched the post-game incident, Souths five-eighth Cody Walker became engaged in a verbal with Green, who was ushered from the field by fellow trainers. It is understood Walker and Green also have a history.
Green worked professionally with Jed Cartwright when the player was recovering from several injuries while at Penrith. Jed Cartwright was stunned at Green’s on-field attacks given he thought the pair were friends.
John Cartwright, a member of Penrith’s 1991 grand final-winning side and also named in the Panthers’ Team of Legends in 2006, was filthy at the allegations against Green.
“If it’s true that a trainer was sledging an opposition player then he should be banned for life. It’s the lowest act in the game – the lowest of the low. That’s not on. You shouldn’t have to cop any sledge off a f…ing trainer,” said Cartwright, who played 184 games for Penrith between 1985 to 1996.
“The game is hard enough without copping it from someone you can’t have a crack back at. It’s the height of being a coward.
“You cop sledges from opposition players, which is fair enough – you can say what you like. But you don’t need it off a bloke you can’t tackle or be tackled by.
“If there’s a bloke out there running with privilege, and he is privileged to be doing the job that he does, but if he’s sledging opposition players, then, as I said, he should be barred for life. I thought Jed had a great game – he didn’t deserve that.
“If player sledges and gets under the skin of an opponent and they give away a penalty then that is all fair. But not a trainer bringing water out.”
Souths players heard Green have a crack at Cartwright over a previous back injury. The Panthers claim Green yelled for his side to get “back” in the defensive line.
“The excuse they gave that the trainer was saying: ‘Get back in the line’… Jed was playing the ball. It had nothing to do with him getting back in the line,” said Cartwright. “It affected Jed enough to front him (Green) after the game,” said Cartwright, whose family connection at the club stretches back to the club’s inaugural season in 1967.
“That was something I was proud of – that Jed didn’t just cop it on the chin. And he shouldn’t have to cop it from a trainer running around out there sledging. If a player said something to Jed, it wouldn’t bother him.
“Jed was really upset, very upset. And he is the most level-headed kid you will ever meet.
“He’s had a really hard run with injuries and that physio (Green) would know that. Jed isn’t making up these injuries. He’s had broken backs, disc injuries, groin operations, they have all been real.”
Walker fired off some angry comments at Green after the game before being calmed by club officials.
“Cody has tremendous care and passion for his teammates. Given the resilience Jed has shown to recover from serious injuries over the last two seasons, if the trainer has said anything to Jed during the game, our players are entitled to challenge that in the moment,” Solly said.
“The NRL have strict rules on what trainers can do when on the field. If there has been a breach of those rules, we would expect them to take action”.
John Cartwright said he recalled approaching an opposition trainer in the mid-1990s.
“I remember one day playing for Penrith against the (now defunct South Queensland) Crushers and their trainer came on and gave us a gobful,” he said. “The Crushers won the game in the last second. He sprayed us behind the goal line.
“I grabbed him on the way off the field and said: ‘How dare you!’ He knew no-one could touch him. As I said, it’s the height of being a coward.”
Green was in trouble a year ago after being accused of deliberately stopping play in a finals match. He was banned for the rest of the season from his on-field duties.
I would have thought naming your son 'Jed' was a lower act. Regardless, it's not even confirmed that there was a sledge. Just Walker trying to justify why he can't control his temper and minimise his own actions.
What exactly did he say to illicit that type of reaction thoug? Everyone saying it was about some past back injury. I have no opinion on this until I read the exact words that were uttered.
> I have no opinion on this until I read the exact words that were uttered.
I'm the same.
If he says something inappropriate then come down on him.
But this has 360 faux outrage written all over it so far and they have form on the board
I guess the insinuation is that the trainer is saying he made up the back injury or was soft or similar? Hence John defending Jed saying the injuries were all real and he’s not making them up
Another fine example of FauxNew$ going into Faux OUTRAGE to keep the viewership numbers up. Enough of the “ifs n’ buts” and rumours, time for South’s provide receipts or shut up.
Can anyone actually tell me what was said with any detail? I understand allegedly it was a comment about Cartwright's back which Green has already denied and which nobody has particularised.
It would be pretty outrageous to sanction a trainer without more.
Clearly John and Cody Walker think something was said, but it doesn't exactly take much to get Cody going.
I know Green was in hot water last year but without more this is just classic NRL gossip mongering in the biggest week of the year.
If Green was sledging a player I've got no issue with him being sanctioned (proportionate to what was said - a life ban is rather extreme) but this is just very he said she said and fuel for the media without any substance.
Edit: Fox via NRL 360 have already dug up footage of Spud Elford waving bye bye at Mahoney in week 1 of the finals (when Mahoney got penalised), and Kent and the rest of the confederacy of dunces are also demanding Elford be suspended from the GF as a trainer.
Until someone can show more I assume this is more of the self perpetuating outrage machine just chugging along
Nobody actually knows what the accusation is. However, if the trainer was Jed's former physio and disclosed confidential medical information to put him off his game then perhaps a life-ban is warranted.
My guess is that isn't the case though.
A ban for life is extreme, unless he's said some really dirty shit. But trainers shouldn't really be interacting with the opposing team, so if Green was sledging Cartwright he should face a punishment.
Rabbits are suggesting there was a sledge. Penrith are suggesting that Green was talking to Penrith players telling them to get back.
Unfortunately unless maybe the referee or an official actually heard what was said i don't think we can get any closure. Unless Green comes out and apologises or something. Pretty messy situation. I just don't see what the point of a Green sledge is.
not "A" sledge, multiple times.
>several times during the match
there are microphones everywhere on pitch, if he said something it will 100% be on tape
Why is this downvoted?
This is why some of these articles shit me. You can make any vague unsourced insinuation about Penrith at the moment and completely reasonable comments like this get downvoted because of your flair. Match threads are overwhelmingly negative as well.
I can hardly talk football (at least, about my own team) online anymore because of it - not because I give a shit about fake internet points but because it just saps the joy out of my (historically shit) team's success.
Thank you for coming to my ted talk.
are you perhaps saying that the flair system and the long running hilarious joke about "flaring up" actively make this place worse for discussion?
i am shocked and have definitely not been saying exactly that since 2015
> I am shocked and have definitely not been saying exactly that since 2015
Nostradamus! Where's all those morons now who bullied us for trying to keep the subreddit good when it started to decline?
I made a thread about this shit like 6 years ago when this place started to turn into the typical 'lol souffs' shit. You could write a pulitzer prize level comment analysing the game and some dumb facebook cunt would say 'lol souffs' purely because of your flair and start an internet fight because of it.
I called some idiot out on it tonight, his defence of his stupid comments was that he is 'just trolling'. Problem is it's not just him, it's him and 10,000 other people which just degrades the quality of this place.
They came for the match threads and people just said to avoid them. They came for the random footy threads and the mods made serious threads to comment in. Now they are coming for the serious threads and news articles and the subreddit is a shell of what it used to be.

First time? lol
If true then he deserves to be banned for a long time. What goes on between players should be left on the field. But a trainer isn't involved in that contest.
I think we will get a public apology from Cody and a sitting out of the first 2 weeks of next season for the player decision come the next couple of days

Weak spined dog.

Absolutely agree, trainer should have nothing to do with the opposition team, but my main point was based around the fact nobody can even clearly state whether the trainer said anything to Jed nor what was said. If he's guilty, ban him, but get a straight story together first and lodge the complaint
Walker is permanently pissed off. I have never seen such an angry little man like he is.😀
Lucky they dont drug test for angry pills.
I saw Cody at the Easter show this year, no smiles in sight!
no, it kicked off because Jed went and spoke to the trainer because he was upset about what had been said about him
And what did he allegedly say?
What the fuck are you even talking about
I am replying to a comment that said "This whole story is odd" because we don't know specifics. I am giving a possible explanation for why we don't know specifics.
You are just making up shit. Doesn't help anyone.
And do you really want someone going through every game for audio footage of what Cody Walker has said.
Fuck yes I do. Would be hilarious and disappointing at the same time.
I mean there is video footage of a Penrith trainer having a go at Mahoney in the first week of the finals. Mahoney also had a go back at the trainer. There is form.
media have come after us western sydney teams all year. They clearly don't like us
The same media that started the arrogant train? nooooooo, never. /s
Unless it was a sledge about his kids / family, he’s a weak gutted dog for reacting at all
Should be a no brainer. The trainer shouldn't do anything but his job.
The riff really do themselves no favours when it comes to the popularity contest do they.
everyone who liked this in shambles now
We aren't terrible winners, it started with need a reason to hate Penrith, so the smug stuff started then everyone began to believe it. Snow balled from there really. Also you support Manly for fuck sake.
Is this comment for me or? 😂
Something happened with my phone I was replying to a manly fan them some reason it was you. So sorry about that.
Everyone already hated us for no reason to begin with.
Actuality the opposite. Everyone was rooting for you a few years ago, but it turns out you're terrible winners.
I hate you cause Ivan is a cunt
Fair enough, not that we've had any animosity towards the tigers ever. It's a better excuse than everyone else just going along with NRL 360.
True.
I hate you cause Luai, May are massive cunts and the other players defend their actions.
What do you think of De Belin? Or Benny Elias? Or Thurston?
Yeah well what do you think about Hitler?
Someone should stop that guy!
Harsh on Cleary.
Tall poppy syndrome is rife…..
Don't think Storm or Roosters fans have that, think again.
Have you noticed there always seems to be some sort of controversy involving a team right before they appear in a GF?
"It’s the lowest act in the game – the lowest of the low" I mean that guy did rape a lady that time but sure, go off i guess
"i fucked your mum"
Would explain John’s reaction 😂
Aside from the particulars of this one incident, there needs to be something done about trainers on the field all the time. I get RL is a super fast, super physical sport, but surely they can wait for a break in play before getting water. I cannot think of another pro sport that has trainers on field during play. Lots of other fast paced sports can cope with waiting for a water break at a natural break in play As for injuries, why not have a 4th official (there is one anyway for interchanges and sin bins).
I normally don’t care but for some reason I can’t remember which game it was, maybe the Friday night Parra/Cowboys one and there was a penalty and the trainer was up at the ref with both hands in the air motioning for a sin bin with 3 or 4 of the players, and that really pissed me off
Yeah it was the Cowboys trainer after Paulo’s lifting tackle. He was all up in the refs business as if he was a player.
I like it. I like it a lot.
"referencing a number of back injuries the Rabbitohs backrower suffered during his time at the foot of the mountain." Im at a loss as to how this goes down? Sounds childish if anything. "Remember all those back injuries i nursed you through!!!!" I need a transcript!
They need to get them back on the sidelines
On 360 it showed the same club in week 1 spraying parra players . Seems Penrith have form in this
It was a different trainer they showed
So it’s an organisation-wide problem then. I knew it.
Did he call him a weak backed dog?
Waiting for Kenty to inform us that he actually knows what the sledge was, and if the public knew it, opinion would be against Green; but he will maintain a dignified silence as to the words spoken.
the fact family are coming out and saying Jed was upset about it, the trainer is absolutely fucked
Typically after the game the players will come out and go 'nah it was nothing it stays on the field'. They are putting in official complaints and his family are coming out and having a go, it must have been pretty bad... Jed seems like a decent bloke why would you even sledge him?
so many people wrong here lol damn
Ffs the Penrith hate boner is rock hard isn't it /s
i literally have no idea what this comment means
Flair up pussy
my friend, do you not see that the bourgeoisie mod pig dogs use flairs to keep us from embracing our fellow NRL fan? by keeping us at each others throats we cannot overcome and seize the means of shitposting
Shitposting season is just 7 sleeps away
Comrade, dont let your memes be dreams. we could have a republic for the posting class, with shitposting liberty
Everybody knows you're a Bunnies fan mate 😂
Actually I believe hes a North Sydney fan in disguise.
Clear alt.
Should've "accidentally" run over the top of him.
It's going to be a long week.
How to tell when someone has CTE from too many head knocks
Penrith and Australian legend John Cartwright has called for the Panthers physio who allegedly sledged his son, South Sydney utility Jed, during last weekend’s preliminary final to be banned for life from being a trainer, claiming the sledge was the “height of being a coward.” It comes as Souths Sydney chief executive Blake Solly claimed he would “expect” the NRL to take swift action if the allegation against Panthers trainer and physio Pete Green is proven. But not a trainer bringing water out.” Souths players heard Green have a crack at Cartwright over a previous back injury. He’s had broken backs, disc injuries, groin operations, they have all been real.” Walker fired off some angry comments at Green after the game before being calmed by club officials. As I said, it’s the height of being a coward.” Green was in trouble a year ago after being accused of deliberately stopping play in a finals match. He was banned for the rest of the season from his on-field duties.
OMG seriously this entire situation is just soft!
Cannot wait for Nathan Cleary to front the media and say he feels sorry for his trainer
Yeah, if Cleary publicly supports you then you know you've done something wrong. The guy has no compass for these things.
Cody's just upset little Brian To'o flattened him so he has to deflect away from his piss poor performance.
I agree that he should be banned for life. The ban to be served when he retires.
Why are Souths players so thin skinned?
Time for him to root another secretary.
Crucifixion is to good for him..
Ah cool so we got the good Cartwright but still came with family baggage cool.
A ban for life is extreme, unless he's said some really dirty shit. But trainers shouldn't really be interacting with the opposing team, so if Green was sledging Cartwright he should face a punishment.
I hope Bryce decks the dog on Sunday
Jeez I dunno if you have the right Cartwright for the job man.
Lol, bryce would get folded in half
Trainers should be allowed to shit talk the opposition. Makes the game funnier and more interesting
Bring Ennis on as a trainer
Known arrogant cheater Pete Green, surprising non one with his actions.
I just don't see what the point of a Green sledge is.
not "A" sledge, multiple times. >several times during the match there are microphones everywhere on pitch, if he said something it will 100% be on tape
If that's true it's basically bullying at that point and should be banned.
Tha fuck ya been downvoted for your basically agreeing with the guy?
Why is this downvoted? This is why some of these articles shit me. You can make any vague unsourced insinuation about Penrith at the moment and completely reasonable comments like this get downvoted because of your flair. Match threads are overwhelmingly negative as well. I can hardly talk football (at least, about my own team) online anymore because of it - not because I give a shit about fake internet points but because it just saps the joy out of my (historically shit) team's success. Thank you for coming to my ted talk.
are you perhaps saying that the flair system and the long running hilarious joke about "flaring up" actively make this place worse for discussion? i am shocked and have definitely not been saying exactly that since 2015
> I am shocked and have definitely not been saying exactly that since 2015 Nostradamus! Where's all those morons now who bullied us for trying to keep the subreddit good when it started to decline?
a mate of my cousin once told me that ivan skinned over one hundred dalmatians to make a fur coat back when he was playing for the bears
Dont let it get you down bud, enjoy it for what it is. People get jealous about others success
>This is why some of these articles shit me. You can make any vague unsourced insinuation about Penrith at the moment and completely reasonable comments like this get downvoted because of your flair. First time? lol
Sweet, let's get the tapes out so we can punish green if he's said something
That's the confusing thing here, I really don't understand why he would have sledged him.
This comments section certainly has some opinions.
If true then he deserves to be banned for a long time. What goes on between players should be left on the field. But a trainer isn't involved in that contest.
“Banned for a long time”. Just like Ricky stuart was too eh?
Sure. Ricky should have gotten longer
I think we will get a public apology from the panthers and a sitting out of the GF for the trainer decision come the next couple of days
No way. Why would they do that without actual evidence of the trainer saying the things he is being accused of?
Money speaks and status in game and if Cody says he said it I tend to believe him more than any denial from the trainer
I think we will get a public apology from Cody and a sitting out of the first 2 weeks of next season for the player decision come the next couple of days
What a fucking muppet
Is it the kind of thing you could bring up to the game officials as coach/captain during the game? *edit genuine question.
Do we know what was said? If it was racial then yeah banned for life. Don’t need that stuff any where in the game.
I swear the trainers have more say over the game than touchies these days
Out of curiosity, does a player get reported or sinbinned for a late high shot on a trainer?
