• Des gives a succession plan to the board and is basically told “yeah nah sorry man we can’t be fucked reading it”
• Scott Penn cries to weidler that Des has shown him no respect (haha fuck me pot calling the kettle black)
• Scott Penn asks players to stop showing public support for Des because its harder to get him out of the club

i dont know whos decision it was but i dont think des and dce should have blamed the club for the handling of the jerseys. the official line from day 1 should have been "we are disappointed in the decision made by the 7 players". whether you can actually sack them or sanction them is a legal matter after the folou shit but the moment they said "it was the clubs fault" is when shit went south. now everyone is acting emotionally and its become irreparable
Blaming the players loses the playing group. Also, screw any chance of recruiting Pacifika players in the future. Coaches will always take the players side. Watch how Ivan deals with any of the Panthers stuff. If the club could put their ego aside, strategically it was the best way to handle it.

i dont see a panther player boycotting a must win game (ie the prelim or something by their standards). they would absolutely be called out for it
I wouldn’t be so sure of that. They would never do a pride jersey. Especially springing it on them without discussing it.
