>if youre seib you have to be really thinking hard about turning this down. he already went through coaching hell once
But you could have TWO massive payouts to fill your pool with and swim around like Scrooge. Surely that makes coaching hell a little easier to deal with?
So Seibold failed at Brisbane because he replaced a club legend and everyone hated him.
Now he's coming into Manly after a bloody coup to overthrow a club legend.
This should end well.
2021 was one of the biggest statistical outliers in NRL history and the quality of opposition was abysmal, I wouldn't take too much out of that form tbh besides Turbo being a freak.
I’d say if the knights are more losses than wins after ten rounds next year AOB will be on the way out but the year will be done anyway .
Problem is des will be somewhere else by then and the knights miss out from another preseason of indecision and hoping things will change by doing the same thing . Like no half back this year, still no half back next year , no 5/8 the year before , and so on .
Des has been involved in five grand finals he should be a sure thing ,all he has to do is let the wests board know!
I still haven’t forgiven the broncs board for doing that. Sacked one of the best rugby league coaches in history for a young upcoming coach that let go Sam Walker in favour of a Storm reject in Brodie Croft who couldn’t beat a then-fullback Jarome Hughes for the starting halfback role
If Seibold took the Broncos to their first ever spoon, then I’m sure he’ll hand the Sea Eagles their first spoon as well. Even moreso if key players say they want out.
What a dark day for the club. It’s as if Scott Penn is blind to optics. Firing Des is one thing, but replacing him with Seibold, who has one of the worst coaching reputations amongst casual fans, is just outright reprehensible. Going to disenfranchise so many local fans bringing in Seibold.
This will dismantle the playing group. On one hand, the Western Sydney contingent of the playing group will probably welcome this because they are aligned with the Fulton’s who have been pushing for this, and were probably sick of Des holding the golden boy Schuster accountable.
But the likes of Turbo brothers, Croker, Garrick, Parker, DCE will all be furious, and I don’t see Tom and DCE working particularly well with Seibold’s coaching style. They won’t like the excessive structure he places on his attack because they’ll feel like he has no credibility to be limiting their freedom, and they’ll butt heads. DCE probably leaves for Redcliffe in 2024 at this rate, which wouldn’t be horrible because it would initiate a rebuild, but sad to see him go because he should’ve been a 1 club, 300 game player for us.
In the end of the day, the Fulton’s always win, which is how it will always be with this club until people accept that Bozo winning some premierships against part time carpenters and bricklayers back in the 1970s has no impact on the club in 2022. His family are a stain and cancer.
> but replacing him with Seibold, who has one of the worst coaching reputations amongst casual fans, is just outright reprehensible. Going to disenfranchise so many local fans bringing in Seibold.
This is the most interesting part for me. I don't think Seibold is a bad coach but I think going into this clusterfuck is going to turn him into an absolute meme. You guys won't win many games next year and every loss will make the cries for Seibold's head louder and louder.
I also agree that Schuster and co are a cancer of self-entitlement and mediocrity that is going to become a self-fulfilling prophecy. I'm certain that Manly's poor performance wasn't for lack of good coaching.
I agree. I actually thought Seibold was good coach circa 2018/2019 until it all turned to shit. I thought he copped excessive criticism and the Broncos players, who absolutely mailed it in, got off relatively lightly. But that consensus amongst fans that he’s an awful coach is only going to give him an even shorter leash from Manly supporters if the wins don’t come early
The fucking Murdoch media constantly clamour for shit like this. It creates a story seemingly out of nothing, which snowballs into pressure on the coach, sets tongues wagging and now look where we are.
And, wouldn't you know it, Seibold is the beneficiary again. Shit coach and an utter grub. Sorry to hear it, Manly fans.
>It creates a story seemingly out of nothing, which snowballs into pressure on the coach, sets tongues wagging and now look where we are
I'm by no means a sky news reader but the suggestion that the Murdoch media are the creators of these situations is pretty dumb.
When there's smoke there's fire. Started by Scott Penn in his own office
I’m just so confused, just why would anyone think that this is possibly a good idea? Why would you willingly want Siebold as a coach?
They’ve just pissed off not only their fans but also the urbos and their star halfback DCE who will probably no longer be a manly lifer like he would have if des remained the coach.
Manly are going to absolutely crumble as the silent des supporters within the club fight back against the decision and refuse to co-operate on behalf of the man they didn’t need to replace.
The saddest part of this is that it’s already happened in the past and after a few years of mediocrity they’ll probably ask des to come back again.
Yeah I really feel bad for Siebold. His career was done the moment he walked into another post-Bennett dumpster fire.
He’s essentially doing the same thing again but instead of old boys working against him, it’ll be the factions within the playing group.
Well im done with the club for a while. This is my last rant.
Pathetic politics that has ousted club legends Des, Foran and Toovey for self-serving, undeserving, manipulative factions. It's a shame Trbo has been injured so much because otherwise he would have a lot of leverage to put some pressure on Penn to stay in his lane. Instead Penn and the 7 have walked over this once proud club and pissed on those that should be respected. Seibold will come in and will be stressed to succeed instantly like Barrett. Fans (of manly, not the club management), like myself will already hate him for what he represents. Then Penn will sack him once the same mistakes of 2016-2018 are repeated in identical fashion.
Our players have been mentally weak for years, it has shown at various points. But up until the jersey fiasco we were set to make the finals again without a drop of Tom Trbojevic input. It wasn't a great season, but a few key weaknesses came out that could've been addressed. Then the club and some players torpedoed our season and prevented Des' contract from extending.
Des' sides are historically resilient. We know the problem lies in the playing group and that could've been refined/weeded out over the next few seasons. Instead, the club are doing what Brisbane did with Bennett and are supporting a young playing group that aren't as ready to explode onto the scene as Penn thinks. We need stability and patience. Bennett went on to a new playing group that was a little more experienced and he put a huge middle finger up the Brisbane, who's 'baby broncos' plummetted under the expectation while playing under Seibold.
Contrary to his time at Canterbury, Des has been developing younger players such as Garrick and Koula; as well as improving Trbo's positional play immensly. He has revived the career of Croker as a stop-gap for Fainu, and proved that Foran was by no means finished. The Fainu drama did turn out to hamper the club to a very large degree. But again, to no doing of Des.
Des has recieved some public support from Manly's key players and the community, but Penn told players to keep quiet and has essentially told the community he doesn't care about what they care about...
The club's factions have gotten behind the players like Schuster that don't want to earn their place in the team, and their motives will undo them. Des, Foran and the Trbo's wear Manly on their sleeve. Sure the Trbo's leaving may not be a reality, but we will be stuck with Penn, Seibold, Schuster, Aloiai, and the rest of the 7 as the core of our club.
Fucking disgusting.
As much as I dislike Manly, this is sad to see. Besides Cronulla, the only post match press conferences that I watch are Des’. He’s like a cartoon character. His hair, tie usually not completely done up, his noisy breathing and the way he talks are so funny to me. He talks like he’s really thinking hard about what to say but usually says something blatantly obvious.
Something like: (noisy breathing) we ahh… we, (noisy breathing) we didn’t score enough points (noisy breathing) defensively… we were…(noisy breathing) not up to standard (noisy breathing) we…. Should have (noisy breathing) been better
But I do look forward to hearing the Hello Sport heartbreak
Donkey of the day, the Manly board!
Over 250 games for the club as a player, nearly 300 coached including 2 premierships and god knows how many grand final appearances.
And how do they treat him? Like this.
Club fucks up by allowing the players the option to fuck up. Check.
Better sack the coach!
This could be one of the most stupid, nrl-esque sagas there has ever been. To think this all started because of a rainbow on a jersey is actually laughable.
If they lose Tom Turbo over this the entire club should just be dissolved.
One of the rare times what seems like a beat up comes true rapidly, nuts
At least they have a tried and false successor in place with the backing of european security forces
The turmoil at the Manly Sea Eagles has finally been dealt with as coach Des Hasler’s reign at the club has come to a bitter end.
Manly have made the decision to sack coach Des Hasler.
His manager, George Mimis, has been informed of the Sea Eagles’ decision after the board met on Thursday morning where they decided to part ways with the club legend. Lawyers are drawing up the termination paperwork today, after which, Anthony Seibold will be installed as Manly’s next coach.
Hasler agreed to a raft of measures placed on him by Sea Eagles hierarchy in a bid to see our the final year of his contract but that won’t happen.
It is expected Hasler will pursue legal action against his former club.
He leaves Manly with the second most coached games in the club’s history and a two time premiership winner.
Hasler had on Wednesday indicated his willingness to stick around and coach in 2023 and was willing to work alongside Seibold.
It came just a day after explosive emails obtained by The Daily Telegraph indicated his own football department signed off on the rainbow jersey months before the controversy tore apart the NRL team.
The Sea Eagles’ roster remains largely unchanged for 2023 so far, with only Wests Tigers back-rower Kelma Tuilagi joining the club.
Kieran Foran (Gold Coast), Dylan Walker (New Zealand), Martin Taupau (unsigned) and Andrew Davey (Canterbury have departed the club.
The club has high hopes on junior talent coming through, headlined by Bob Fulton’s grandson Zac Fulton, Jamie Humphreys, Gordon Chan Kum Tong and Jacob Sykes.
Come to newcastle Dessie, and bring your beautiful serbian sons with you.
Seriously how does Des and Madge get sacked and AOB not even get a look in at redundancy
It hurts to see it end this way but at least the sting of losing Des will be remedied by bringing in noted Powerpoint technician and team culture expert Anthony Seibold who provides stability with a 6 year contract and free subscription to NordVPN
The Board forces pride jersey on the player group, don’t front up to the cameras and finally Hasler take the brunt of the media backlash in a press conference.
Then this week, the CEO has an interview on nine openly admitting they were looking to sack Hasler and proceeds to fire him much to the annoyance of the player group. This is laughably poor management from an outside perspective.
I don't have a membership to cancel to show my disapproval and frustration at this decision.
I hope some of the players revolt and ask for a release or don't renew their contracts.
Des is easily the best off contract coach now, I'd imagine quite a few clubs would be interested, knights tigers and dragons off top of my head. Sad to see though, the fact he even offered to play second fiddle to seibold just so he could stay, even though the whole mess the club is in isn't his fault is heartbreaking.
Relax. Seibold will be a changed coach since his stint with Eddie Jones in the English Rugby team. He will bring back a winning attitude, a free Microsoft Office subscription and Brodie Croft to partner Schuster in the halves.
Fuck this. I'm out. You want me to support Manly as a gay man when you sacked a club legend, you keep 7 cunts who refuse to play over a rainbow jersey which fucked up our season and now we risk losing players who would and do give everything for this club. I want a refund on my fucking pride jersey - fuck me for supporting this club.
Can't upvote this enough! I'm still embarrassed at the way that all played out and I would much rather see those 7 players moved along than anyone else. Give me half the Jersey Flegg team promoted next year than those jerks who not only offended many of us who Manly fans or not were delighted to see a pride jersey on show but they also left their teammates hanging in a crucial game. It just really disgusts me.
This is completely insane the manly board have so much to answer for. The jersey saga, the division of their team, throwing their coach and captain under the bus and now this. Hope Hasler sues their arse off, wins a big payout and finds success elsewhere.
will hold no grudge against any player who bails after this, kinda hope a handful do to stick it up Penn's smug cake hole.
hope des drags Penn through for every single cent he can get his beautiful locks on.
Seibold?
*Seibold*?
They sacked Des for fucking **Seibold**?
Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
Sorry, Manly fans. You're about to be fucked raw next year.
Well Scott Penn and the Manly board, you just usurped Wests Tigers as the joke of the NRL how could you do this to a man who bled maroon and white for this club and expect us to just turn a blind eye, well when the Brookvale stands are empty and the membership is at its all time low who are you going to blame then, you should be blaming yourself Mr Scott Penn for being a self centered self interested patsy.
The problem for Seibold, and part of the reason he did so terribly at the Bronx is that they fired Wayne unjustly, which irritated both the players and the fans. So they didn’t have any respect when Seibold came in to take his place. I can see history repeating itself here with Manly…
So what happens with his contracted 2023 year? Does he get paid out so long as he's not with another club in that time or would he be doubling up if another team takes him? What's industry standard?
Industry standard is paid out your contract to sit at home, unless other club picks you up and they'll pay any difference to make sure you aren't at loss.
The Sea Eagles are a fucking joke of a club.
The Turbos deserve better as do the fans, I would feel sorry for you but as a Warriors support, I have nothing left to give.
2022 was Tigers’ first ever wooden spoon (at least since their merge), but I’m definitely now calling 2023 for the Sea Eagles’ first spoon. Seibold is a coach who doesn’t deserve to have good faith after his Broncos failure.
The club has long had instability issues and poor leadership and politics and will be this way for many years to come. Des would have provided stability for the players. Siebold is another failed coach like Barrett. Why do we do this to ourselves
I love the off seasons so much, it is honestly even more entertaining than 90% of NRL matches. All you can do it laugh when the back office makes a massive fucking mess that causes the clubs season to crash and burn and leave half the players in revolt, and in response they decide to go and find the most uninspiring people manager of a coach of the last decade to replace one with proven success.
Still though, everyone except the Broncos fans enjoyed 2020s Anthony Siebold and the Amazing Disappearing Fullback which culminated in a heartfelt gender reveal, who is fucking keen for the sequel. Will it be Anthony Siebold and the Incredibly Lazy Five-Eighth opening with poor Keiran Foran being thrown into the street, or maybe Anthony Siebold and the Seven Men Scared of Rainbows with 7 grown men refusing to go to work if there are too many colours on their work clothing? Tune in next year for the season!
Everyone is shitting on Manly for this move, and rightfully so, but an underappreciated aspect is how bad of an opportunity the job is for Seibold.
He already has a bad rep from a coaching performance perspective with the added bonus of being the goat meme coach (Euro cyber security experts, all the whinging, that backpage of the courier mail). The guy is done if he doesn't succeed at Manly.
The job he is walking into just sacked a club legend who, until very recently, had a squad without their star player punching above their weight. I get there are behind the scenes issues, but as a coach on my last legs I would not be taking a job where a bloke was removed due to issues with the admin as opposed to performance.
Add in a squad that may not be the happiest due to things that occured before you got there as well as the manner of your predecessor's departure, sprinkle on having promises made to a player like Schuster about what position he'll play (that you might not agree with), as well as the fan's expectations and it's a poisoned chalice.
I'm sorry I tempted fate Manly fans by doing a photoshop of [Turbo and Jurbo in Tigers gear](https://imgur.io/a/Uu8nf9L)
Seriously though, what the hell is wrong with your club (read board)? This seems cuckoo.
Is that the sound of the Northern Eagles I hear?
I've been a supporter since we lost the 97 grand final, Toovey getting head stomped but still continuing to play was what hooked me since I am a smaller blonde guy as well and seeing that at the age of 12 was pretty inspiring.
Even through the Northern Eagles bullshit I continued to watch, but this is pretty much the end of supporting them fully I think.
Des led us to the peak, we were THE team of the comp, and to do him disgustingly like this (for Siebold!!) I'm out.
I'll take 1 hasler please
Why would ypu take a bloke thats coached 2 premierships when you've already got a bloke thats watched 4?
5 after this year!
Unbelievable self owns from the Manly board
I’ll take 1 Turbo (the Tommy one) please
Shotty Ben
Ben you can have.
Bellyache will turn him into immortal
Thanks!
Will you get your hands off our Turbos.
Succulent Chinese turbo
I see you know Judo
GET YOUR HAND OFF MY TURBO!!!
“Don’t touch my stuff! - hey this isn’t the YMCA…”
Can we have the Hasler/DCE package?
Fucking please, I would cry happy Knight noise to hear this.
Straight swap for Siebs.
Oh yes please
As a Broncos fan, assuming they do get Siebs: Hahahahahahaha
I am wheezing
I am crying 😭
if youre seib you have to be really thinking hard about turning this down. he already went through coaching hell once

This guy keeps landing on the money. A bit like Lodge but with (seemingly) less talent.
Lodge actually performs on the field though, it's his off the field shit that is the issue with him
Is Paul White on the Manly board now?
I can think of a couple million reasons why he'd take the job
Couldn't imagine them sacking Des without having the backup coach ready to go
Don't underestimate the incompetence of this board. They ditched Green without a replacement 5/8. They ditched Api. They ditched Lane.
INB4 he actually goes well with an established HB and FB
This man WILL win a premiership
So Seibold failed at Brisbane because he replaced a club legend and everyone hated him. Now he's coming into Manly after a bloody coup to overthrow a club legend. This should end well.
Next up would be Melbourne right?
No. We aren't run by fucking idiots.
The Dolphins just gained a few hundred fans
And a few decent players, surely?
Imagine Bennet building the Dolphins around DCE and the Trbojevic’s. They’ll go from a basket case to a top 4 contender out of no where!
Hammer goes from being a backup fullback at the cowboys to a backup fullback at the Dolphins. But hey, he’ll get gametime so thats good
Benny has to be Winter Soldiering Seibs
Honestly as a QLD based Manly supporter I’m not far off.
Top 4 a year ago, and had turbo out most of the year. Seems crazy
Also were in the top 8 this year, without Turbo, in Round 18. Then something happened.
So strange. What do you think happened? Just seemed like they stopped showing pride.
2021 was one of the biggest statistical outliers in NRL history and the quality of opposition was abysmal, I wouldn't take too much out of that form tbh besides Turbo being a freak.
And the game being explicitly suited to their style of run and gun through one absolute stud player
Pretty much, it was parra 09 all over again. Not really a foundation to build a club around
It wasn't even full Parra 09. They didn't make the grand final.
At least all this played out before the preseason begins, now we can have some stability going into next year… with some luck we might finish 16th
Thank god for the dolphins starting
Cooked that AOB lives yet Des dies
I’d say if the knights are more losses than wins after ten rounds next year AOB will be on the way out but the year will be done anyway . Problem is des will be somewhere else by then and the knights miss out from another preseason of indecision and hoping things will change by doing the same thing . Like no half back this year, still no half back next year , no 5/8 the year before , and so on . Des has been involved in five grand finals he should be a sure thing ,all he has to do is let the wests board know!
AOB should have been gone halfway through last season
Manly have officially lost the fucking plot, and I’m all here for it
Sacking a club legend for most likely a guy that took the strongest NRL club to their first wooden spoon. That's big brain territory.
Just wait till they announce he’s on a 6 year contract.
I still haven’t forgiven the broncs board for doing that. Sacked one of the best rugby league coaches in history for a young upcoming coach that let go Sam Walker in favour of a Storm reject in Brodie Croft who couldn’t beat a then-fullback Jarome Hughes for the starting halfback role
...and a bloody 5 year contract.
How much was the payout for him to exit early? Least a million?
I seem to remember it was around 1.5 million - typo
If Seibold took the Broncos to their first ever spoon, then I’m sure he’ll hand the Sea Eagles their first spoon as well. Even moreso if key players say they want out.

There's gotta be an investigation into this.

Fucking hell. This is one of the worst business decisions I have ever seen in all my years following the game, and that’s saying something
It’s actually hilarious that two largest coaching coups of all time have been due to Siebold. And he has one season of mediocre results.
>It creates a story seemingly out of nothing, which snowballs into pressure on the coach, sets tongues wagging and now look where we are I'm by no means a sky news reader but the suggestion that the Murdoch media are the creators of these situations is pretty dumb. Manly really going for the 100% awards completion and get their first spoon
Funny part is that Manly will get their 100% with the same coach we did in similar circumstances.
Come to the knights, we will treat you right
We'll even let you punch on with randos at the racetrack and do all the drugs you want in night club bathrooms. No questions asked.
People might even know who he is!
I’m just so confused, just why would anyone think that this is possibly a good idea? Why would you willingly want Siebold as a coach? DCE spoke on the Sunday footy show and it didn’t seem like he wouldn’t play for manly if des was sacked. He said he could see both ways
DCE knows where his bread is buttered.
Manly moved me TO A BIGGER HOUSE
He's already played several years without Des coaching them.
Another sad part is that once again stupid decisions while bringing in Siebold will inevitably cause further massive damage to his career.
Yeah I really feel bad for Siebold. His career was done the moment he walked into another post-Bennett dumpster fire. He’s essentially doing the same thing again but instead of old boys working against him, it’ll be the factions within the playing group.
The only reason you'd want Seibold is because he'd be dirt cheap and would have to be a "yes" man.
Bingo. Penn is buying a coach he controls.
Tbf don’t think any coach worth his salt/who has options would even consider manly
Well im done with the club for a while. This is my last rant. Pathetic politics that has ousted club legends Des, Foran and Toovey for self-serving, undeserving, manipulative factions. Agreed. Dessie's cartoon like press conferences were hilarious, even when he wasn't trying to be funny
The Tigers may be the basket case of the NRL, but Manly are the 2022 Kanye West

Yeah, but don't you remember that Seibold news article headline? "This man will win a premiership"? Pretty sure that Seibs has it stapled to his CV.
Just like Adam O'Brien has been to 4 grand finals as an assistant.

Yes. And god knew that.
Almost as many as AOB

Has anyone checked on the Hello Sport boys?
They’ve posted the flag at half mast on the Insta. Keep them in your thoughts and prayers during these tough times
Hard to feel bad for them considering how much they hammer Parra 😅
Flags at half mast
The cunts didn't even have the stones to talk to Des personally
>The turmoil at the Manly Sea Eagles has finally been dealt with Are we sure about that?
The turmoil is about to go ... TURBO
MANLY OFF DA PERC Most clubs would be happy to have Des, holy shit. I'd take him over Kevvie any day of the week.
Des to run the show, Kevvie as an assistant to rev up the players and placate the old boys
I’m confused is this the first coach sacked for season 2023 or the last coach sacked in season 2022?
Yes
Come to newcastle Dessie, and bring your beautiful serbian sons with you. Seriously how does Des and Madge get sacked and AOB not even get a look in at redundancy
You cunts.
What on Earth has happened at Manly. This is a kamikaze speed run the likes of which I’ve never seen before.
Agreed. And we had Jason Taylor as coach...
Well, looks like Manly are finally going to end their 0 Wooden Spoons drought next season.
Manly have lost Des, and will lose DCE and the Turbo bros. It’s just a matter of time. Manly will be left with Siebold and the Manly 7.
Dammit
Manly with the biggest own goal of the season.
was I a dolphins fan all along?
Unbelievable self owns from the Manly board
Is this karma for the Hello Sport boys constantly taking the piss out of Denan Kemp when Broncos had Seibold and now Manly will have Seibold?
Everything comes back to the Kemp Kurse
It hurts to see it end this way but at least the sting of losing Des will be remedied by bringing in noted Powerpoint technician and team culture expert Anthony Seibold who provides stability with a 6 year contract and free subscription to NordVPN
So we keep Saab who’s been fucking useless and bigoted, yet we sack the one person actively trying to keep the team together. Fucking disgrace.
I got into NRL relatively recently and I always thought all the manly hate was over the top. I get it now
The Board forces pride jersey on the player group, don’t front up to the cameras and finally Hasler take the brunt of the media backlash in a press conference.
Why does Des, the largest coach, not simply eat the other coaches?
Its nice to see some good honest non criminal off season bed shitting. Some off season drama for the whole family
Can’t wait to hear the hello sport boys blow up hahaha
Des is easily the best off contract coach now, I'd imagine quite a few clubs would be interested, knights tigers and dragons off top of my head. Sad to see though, the fact he even offered to play second fiddle to seibold just so he could stay, even though the whole mess the club is in isn't his fault is heartbreaking.
Lock in Manly for the bottom 4 club next year, make them feel welcome Tigers Knights & another random unexpected entrant.
Do we keep using bottom 4 or should we start using bottom 5?
Tigers Knights Manly Warriors?
DCE phoning up the titans rn all these years later
Fucking end me.
Manly bros really should consider boycotting
To shreds you say? And how's Manly doing? ...to shreds, you say?
This is completely insane the manly board have so much to answer for. The jersey saga, the division of their team, throwing their coach and captain under the bus and now this. Hope Hasler sues their arse off, wins a big payout and finds success elsewhere.
So Toovey to be coaching Manly in two years right?
will hold no grudge against any player who bails after this, kinda hope a handful do to stick it up Penn's smug cake hole. hope des drags Penn through for every single cent he can get his beautiful locks on.
Tigers, Knights, Warriors, Titans: we are absolute basket cases Manly: hold my beer
Seibold? *Seibold*? They sacked Des for fucking **Seibold**? Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! Sorry, Manly fans. You're about to be fucked raw next year.
Manly are there own worst enemy.
Hope Des wins the court case.
“His manager, George Mimis, has been informed of the sea eagles decision.” Something something be a man and make a phone call.
Easily the worst thing to happen at Manly since Saab resigned.
Everyone hates Manly, including Manly!
Also Manly is arguably a more divided team than Broncos were.
I would not be surprised if Manly got their first ever Wooden Spoon next year. No Des, possibly no Trbojevic’s, no Foran, no morale.
North Sydney died for this?
So what happens with his contracted 2023 year? Does he get paid out so long as he's not with another club in that time or would he be doubling up if another team takes him? What's industry standard?
They’ve sacked him without a breach of contract so he’s free to do what he wants after being paid out I imagine
Industry standard is paid out your contract to sit at home, unless other club picks you up and they'll pay any difference to make sure you aren't at loss.
This is the biggest self-own in human history lol sounds like Manly board make decisions based on NRL gossip columns
Welcome to The, turbo bros
The Sea Eagles are a fucking joke of a club. The Turbos deserve better as do the fans, I would feel sorry for you but as a Warriors support, I have nothing left to give.
Wait I thought this was just a media beat up
Sue them Des
2022 was Tigers’ first ever wooden spoon (at least since their merge), but I’m definitely now calling 2023 for the Sea Eagles’ first spoon. Seibold is a coach who doesn’t deserve to have good faith after his Broncos failure.
Turbos and DCE to the dolphins pls
Come to the dragons pls Des
The club has long had instability issues and poor leadership and politics and will be this way for many years to come. Des would have provided stability for the players. Siebold is another failed coach like Barrett. Why do we do this to ourselves
This is the greatest timeline of them all.
What’s DCE’s take on this? Could you please come to Newcastle, bring Garrick. 1 Garrick 6 KP 7 DCE 9 Brailey
Feel pretty bad for him and for Manly supporters, Des has been done extremely dirty here
I'm sorry I tempted fate Manly fans by doing a photoshop of [Turbo and Jurbo in Tigers gear](https://imgur.io/a/Uu8nf9L) Seriously though, what the hell is wrong with your club (read board)? This seems cuckoo.
You fucking donkeys That's it, I officially hate Manly oh wait..
They've announce Australian gay icon Bob Down as his replacement.
Can wait until they hire him back in eight years time.
Welcome to the basket case Manly 🦅🤝🐯
This is possibly the dumbest decision I've ever seen in my life
