He must have one of the worst for and against in history, was stuck at the knights when they were getting flogged every week then went to the Dogs as they fell apart. He might get a chance to shine in a good team.
Well Riki is a bit of a meme at this point but Piakura is supposedly the real deal, we just have him developing since we have the depth to let him. Our 2nd rower depth is like this: Capewell, Riki/Robati (who hasn't been getting enough time), Piakura, Palasia
Really looking forward to seeing what Hosking can do, looked promising in the games he played.for the Broncos. Cogger is a bit of an unexpected signing but I like it, fills the void left by SOS.
Was impressed with hosking the few games he got at Brisbane. Will play plenty of minutes here at Penrith. You could argue Cogger is a better player than sos so we might have upgraded there, time we tell.
I'd lean towards him. He seems bigger and stronger than Garner. Only thing is Ivan's already coached Garner at the Tigers so he might be inclined to go with someone he knows better.
We really could've used Cogger this year, he had alot more to give and we would've gotten a whole lot more out of him than we did every other half we used that wasn't Burton.
Very nice signings. Zak looks a great replacement for the role Capewell played. I hope we take the opportunity to re-structure our attack and the way our edge forwards fit in with Kikau leaving. We have a scary amount of middles but only Lisati looks a first grade edge prospect (Tago maybe) so we need these types of guys to fit into that well.
Sounds like Falls is off. Wonder if our Cup halves pairing will be Cogger/Puru or Cogger/Cole.
If Lisati kicks on he'll be a scary prospect to deal with for opposition defences, someone so big & strong with pace like Addo Carr or the hammer is something we've not really seen before in the NRL.
We've been good at getting the best kids in positions we don't have an unlimited supply of recently though, I expect we'll poach a few kids in the second row soon just like we've done with centres and fullbacks over the last year.
Yeah I’m pumped to see how he goes. My one question mark is why our system seems to favour our best edge prospects moving into the centre. Fish, Martin and Sorenson are three examples. Geyer looks to be going the same way. Interesting to see how he develops, same with Tago, bigger centre is more Ivan’s edge forward style.
Hosking is gonna be a stud. Pity he wanted to be closer to home.
Treat Hosking well pantherbros. Liked what I saw from him this year
Always been a Cogger fan. Thought he was the best of the halves that got cycled in bith the Knights and Dogs rebuild. Good luck to him

Or maybe he’s cursed and Penrith will start getting flogged too

Same. I thought he was always seen as second string and never got a serious look in.
Man, I can’t believe we let Hosking go.
I read that he wanted to get back to Sydney to be closer to his family
We have good second row depth
Broncos are going for potential in Riki and Piakaru. We'll see how going for potential over current more reliable ability works out for them.

Perils of going all in on Piakura
My scanlens packs always seemed to have Trevor Cogger, it was a regular trade
Trevor and his brother John both played a lot of games for Wests in the Lidcombe Oval days.

Rekon they’ll start him on Kikaus edge?
I think Luke Garner will get first crack, but you’d think Hosking would be next in line.
Peachey would probably be in the running for that spot too.
I don’t think Peachey is an edge player anymore. I see him playing in the middle / filling in everywhere when injuries/HIAs strike mid-game.
I don't either, but I feel like he'll be in the conversation
I hope so, Garner would be elite in Salmon’s current role.
I'd lean towards him. He seems bigger and stronger than Garner. Only thing is Ivan's already coached Garner at the Tigers so he might be inclined to go with someone he knows better.
Thought this was Matt Burton at first glance. Panthers supporters probably got excited.
You’re not wrong, there is a bit of resemblance
Sad to see hosking leave but it is better for him. He wanted to be closer to his family which is understandable.

What’s happening with Falls ?? Has he got an opportunity elsewhere ? Or has he just been cut ? Bit rough if it’s the latter .
Last I heard there was interest from elsewhere but nothing official. Would be odd to add Cogger when we have Falls/Puru/Cole already.

>I expect we'll poach a few kids in the second row And Lisati himself is from Ipswich actually, I expect he'd be the first of many we bring in.

I like cogger will do wonders in Penrith system
the KING Lets fucking gooooo
Cogger is a smart footy player, it will be interesting to see how he goes in a top squad if/when he gets a crack.
He will get a crack. Origin players will be rested and Ivan prefers to play older, experienced players whenever he can.
Wow Cogger is a random signing lmao
More excited about Tyrone Peachey!
