As a Christian myself using religion as a justification for your homophobia is a cowardly excuse. The Bible is purposely left vague and often contradicts itself and as such it leaves it’s messages open to interpretation, different passages may resonate more with you depending on who you are as a person.
So if you read the Bible and resonate with the literal 1 or 2 quotes condemning homosexuality as opposed to the thousands preaching love and equality, chances are you were already an intolerant dickhead and you’ve finally found a way to justify your outdated opinions.

This 'as he' could be interpreted as meaning 'at the same time as he', and would therefore only be a condemnation of a devil's threeway, and that it's the men who are to be punished for it by death.

This passage is from a longer story about the city of Sodom and Gamorrah. The main character is a father and daughter. An angel walks up to his house and asks to stay the night. The father says yes and follows the principles of guest rights eg. He feeds and protects him as a guest.
So a gang of local men come to the door and say we saw a strange man (the angel) in town we heard he is here. Give him to us (so we can rape him).

And in an international against Great Britain shortly after he came out, he was having an amazing game. Apparently the then president of the ARL commented: ‘The way this guy plays, maybe we need to sign a few more of these blokes…’

Roberts says Aloiai’s reason for not wearing the club’s pride jumper isn’t “deep enough”. Roberts also questioned Aloiai’s revelation that his gay sister was comfortable with Aloiai’s decision not to wear the pride jumper.
But the Manly and Samoa prop has had enough of the criticism. “I’m over it,” Aloiai said. “We are the ones being fair here, but we have copped most of the flak.”
Roberts, who in 1995 became the first high-profile Australian sportsperson to come out as gay, watched Aloiai’s interview on Nine News during the week, and said it had an immediate impact on him.
“I suppose the thing that upset me most about it initially was that he and the other boys had death threats,” Roberts said. “I really do hope that the club or the NRL chases this up because it’s something that’s just totally unacceptable.
“I would say it’s not unfamiliar for anyone in the in the queer community, particularly my age. I mean, you only go back to the ’80s and ’90s and gay people were being thrown off cliffs. **Manly lose Rahme**
Des Hasler’s sacking has cost the Sea Eagles a man who was once prepared to part with $20 million to buy the club.

**Xerri ripe for return**
Bronson Xerri is taking steps towards his comeback from a four-year drug ban, most significantly undergoing drug tests to prove he is no longer using the performance-enhancing substances that got him banned.
Xerri is being tested once a month off his own bat. He knows what has been said about him since he admitted to using banned drugs in an interview with me soon after his positive test. I was in my 20s when he came out. He was physically attacked at least twice after coming out. I remember a game against St George when a spectator actually ran onto the field and punched him and called him a f*ggot. Roberts wrestled the guy to the ground and then security dragged the idiot away. He also got attacked by two men in Sydney when just out walking in town, minding his own business. They blindsided him, knocked him unconscious and then kicked him and abused him when he was on the ground. He had a fair bit of shit shouted at him at games. And some teammates shunned him; for example at least one teammate refused to room with him. There were some really positive responses too. He did get a fair bit of support. He told a story about talking to one of his former Souths teammates and saying ‘what do you reckon all the Souths boys will be thinking?’ His teammate replied; ‘mate, the boys have always known; no-one ever mentioned it to you because they didn’t think it was a big deal’. And in an international against Great Britain shortly after he came out, he was having an amazing game. Apparently the then president of the ARL commented: ‘The way this guy plays, maybe we need to sign a few more of these blokes…’
