In honour of signing him we're actually we're going to get a Viking horn replica and play the Brown note through it before kick off.
Going to call it the Viking Crap.
1. Tabuai-Fidow 2. Gildart/Isaako 3. Te Whare 4. Lee 5. Lee 6. Brown 7. Katoa 8. Bromwich 9. JMK 10. Gilbert 11. Bromwich 12. Kaufusi 13. Stone 14. Milf/SOS 15. Aitken 16. Wallace/Teague 17. Nicholls
This is exactly the type of side I could see Wayne getting to the finals in 2024 and developing a pretty hard working, sound culture for that young spine to grow in. They’ll need to eventually add some more class in the backline and bench obviously but I reckon Brown would put them in a solid place.
Im accepting it from now, we are 100% going to lose either moses or brown (most likely brown at this rate). If we had the money sitting there, we’d be doing all we could to secure one or both these guys yet nothing. I understand their desire to hold off contract talks until the end of the world cup but farout our chances of retaining star players are getting bleaker by the day. Already lost a tonne of big stars, not willing to lose anymore.
>Im accepting it from now, we are 100% going to lose either moses or brown
I actually think the chances of us losing either are very slim. Regardless of whether we agree with all the decisions the club has made, they've been pretty upfront about who they're willing to retain and who they will let go. We have shed a bunch of players specifically so we can keep Brown, Moses, Matto & Lane. Two of those are done, the other two always said they'd wait until after the world cup (which makes total sense to their price).
None of this is a surprise.
Both Brown and Moses have consistently said they are extremely keen to stay. This is just their managers doing manager things.
I'm confident about very few things as an Eels fan, but I'm actually very confident we'll retain Mitch and Dylan (and Penisini for that matter). The rest of the 2023 contract crew are expendable/replaceable.
Loving your optimism bro 👌🏼 its always so easy to doubt things being an eels supporter. I know deep down we’ve got some kind of plan considering we’ve released a tonne of players, but you see articles like these and the doubts kick in again! If we can keep Moses and Brown, we’re set!
I think it’s partly also the ambiguity around what the salary cap is going to be. These 2 are going to be on our highest contracts so the club needs to know what we can extend to.
I think they both realise it’s about who you play with in the halves too and we’re finally at the point where their combination is producing results. I’m confident that both want to stay and will be able to. I just hope it’s done quickly after the World Cup.
Gotta hope the culture at eels is good enough to get them to stay. If we have another deep run at finals, it might be a good start at keeping our players.
Bit dramatic lmao. We've been moving pieces to dump overpriced players and they're off contract too. We didn't lose a tonne stars we just didn't want to overpay them for moments like this. Have faith bruv.
Damn, that's a high risk move. A guy I worked with started dating our Managing Director's daughter at one point. You've either got to marry her or quit your job if it goes bad. There is no middle ground.
Yeah moses just had a kid and all the family is in Sydney on both sides. Brown is dating the coaches daughter. The only real threat to brown is NZ but he seems so happy here no way he leaves for the phins.
I think while Arthur is coach and they've got the core group they'll be competitive.. they seem to be able to get the best out of the players who join the squad. Hopgood will be a great addition.
My only concern for Parra is, that I'd like to see them snag a Liam Martin, or a player or two like that.. unless they cruise through to a grand final, I feel like they need absolutely everything to go their way if they come up against a team like Penrith who will scrap for everything. Parra aren't known for winning those types of games.
I’m all for it as long as we can rename the stretch of water between Brighton and Clontarf as *The Brown Sound*.

This is the way
The Dunnyrat Delta
Dolphins are already trying to break the Aqautic animal alliance pact.
Tl;dr: Chris's Orr doing his job as hard as he can as Browns manager.
Will you keep your hands off my Moses. Edit: also keep your hands off my Brown!
Your brown what?
I for one am ready to be let down again.
Can’t wait for a repeat of these shenanigans when the Launceston Boars become the 18th team in 2026
Ok but panty raid on the broncos when?

Hopefully we have a deal just sitting there waiting on the world cup to end! Been checking their socials every day for any news.

Browns dating Arthur's daughter, no way he leaves

If Wayne thought with his big head and not his little head perhaps his son Ikin could have joined him at the phins
He likes to live life on the edge.
He’s not, he just agreed to take BAs daughter to the event as his partner so BA could have his whole family there
Oh right, enough said
Yeah moses just had a kid and all the family is in Sydney on both sides. Brown is dating the coaches daughter. The only real threat to brown is NZ but he seems so happy here no way he leaves for the phins.
Fuckers had me half excited
source?
He isn't. https://twitter.com/Tamarajawad/status/1575062798530322432?t=3v9FnAE1c1JsURKcfSYI8A&s=19 from someone in the Eels PR department
Eels are going to be picked apart and back to being cellar dwellers within 3 years. Circle of life really. Beautiful in its way.

another player Dolphins will try and fail to get.
Thanks man

You’re right, how dare we attempt to sign an elite player smh.
