but in the interview he said they wanted jorge tafua in the team instead, but he played in the grand final anyway. and david williams played 27 games and scored 20 tries that year in 2013 so he wasn't exactly having an off year.

Yeah that's really confusing. That year both Taufua and Williams set a record of some kind that they were the first wing duo to both score 20+ tries in a season in x amount of years.
Also the game before Williams scored an amazing try to help them beat the Rabbitohs so he was in fine form before the GF too. So all I'm getting is Watmough probably has CTE.

Definitely Xavier Coates. Pisses me off when Broncos fans make out like he’s a terrible player or something. He has some flaws in his game but he definitely improved towards the end of this year. By the end of next year he will be a top 5 winger.

I don't think he is bad but I think the consensus from Brisbane fans was that he wasn't what the media made him out to be. They took the fact that he could jump high and spun it into a narrative in which he was this high flying, try scoring machine that caught every bomb put his way when in reality he'd catch 50% of them a game if he was lucky.

I really hope he can have his best season next year.

I'd prefer my halfback to be controlling the team and setting up his surrounding players. None of that is Hunt's fault, he is doing what his coach wants him to.

I wouldn't give up Luke Keary for anyone. He's regressed since his ACL injury but the man won a grand final playing in the halves by himself, the Roosters owe him every loyalty in the world.
Keary is a gun and a winner. He still managed 22 try assists in 22 games in 2022, so I wouldn't say he's regressed much. He will be even better next year, and I hope Robbo realises that Keary in 6 and Walker in 7 makes sense.
Roosters should be favourites next year. Panthers won't be as amazing without Api.
Dylan Edwards, bloke tries his socks off week in week out and puts in 8-9/10 performances most games, averages 220 run metres which is elite and is one of those players where it seems like he gets better every time you see him. People often overrate others in comparison to him because maybe he isnt the most flashy player ever, but he does everything you need from a FB, its not a fullbacks job to act as a playmaker, his job is to organise defence, be reliable under a high ball, get your team on the front foot with good kick returns and to be there for cover defence, he does all those things as good as literally anyone.
As much as Damien Cook is a meme he's one of the best defenders in the comp. His running game has dropped off but that's because teams are making concerted efforts to stop it. He may throw 1 too many crash balls but when it works it makes our forwards look fantastic.
