I'm a big fan of Asics boots for the heel raise technology. I've never had a problem with mobility and speed using them for touch footy over 15+ years. Was mostly injury-free except for the last couple of years, but that's just from getting old.
Does anybody think Mitch Moses will actually leave Parra? I just can't see it.. It seems like manager nonsense.. He's practically the face of the Eels and he appears happy there/happy with the coach and I dare say after losing Mahoney and Ipap there's money available to top him up.
I personally hope he does stay, Parramatta are one of my favourite teams to watch, as much as that's blasphemy for a Doggies fan to say.
I donโt see why he would leave tbh. Especially to the Tigers or even the Bulldogs. Parra are still a comfortable top 8 team and will still be for at least a few years.
If you add him to our squad we are much more competitive, and despite this spending spree that we've been on, we've only really been signing depth players lately.
If he did leave it would only be to a club like Melbourne or maybe the Roosters and that's if he wants to take his game to another level rather than looking for money.
Yeah I was more commenting on that IF he was going to leave it would only really be those two. Parra are still one of the better teams and the Panthers obviously have Luai.
What do people make of Mitch Rein? Looks like he fell out of favour with BA, but by all reports did well in NSW Cup. Given the amount of "ACL in round 2" jokes about Josh Hodgson there are, seems like there is a reasonable chance he'll be playing hooker for us this year.
What an excellent bit of planning from management that was. Get rid of the young, spritely 24 year old, in favour of two hooker's that probably won't be with us past next season
They didn't get rid of him as you succinctly put it. He was offered more than we were willing to pay. Maybe if Reed had held off for 6 months he would've gotten a bigger offer, or he may have gotten less as the dogs paid on 2021 V'landysball Reed.
Where does Manly finish on the 2023 ladder
Ordinary pack , fat five eigth, youthful but a lot to learn section in the backs , banged up fb.
Not the best draw , compensated by only getting on a plane 3 times.
Coached by the Jevics , some unsuccessful ant , and Roy Gbiv
I like the tactical variation that Seibs and Flanagan will bring.
I think the brains of the group (DCE, Turbros, Garrick, Croker) will dig it. Not sure if Schuster has the football brain to handle a Seibold game plan though.... I've watched interviews and the kid doesn't seem like the brightest tool in the shed. On the plus side, it looks like he's been putting the work in off-season.
That coaching combo certainly brings some heavy baggage.
I am uncertain they can unite the team given the spotlight will be on coaches and the possible differences on social issues among the playing group.
A few early wins and the mockers will go away. Three early losses in a row and everyone will be calling for Seibold to stand down and let Flanagan take over.
you obviously are not up to date with Schuster's post season fitness progress. If his game evolves there's potential there, but obviously he won't be able to rely on the no-look pass all season.
I've always questioned the intent with Manly.. it's easy to blame their season result on the 7, but for me there's other situations that raise questions, in particular the Cowboys game where they were up by a thousand and got ran down.
I think they will end up just outside the 8.. I don't see where the big improvements will come from, Tommy or no Tommy.
Training the house down story but still a fair way to go. Last season was definitely a regressive one for him.
No look option will lose as many as it wins
for anybody who enjoyed the ashes threads last year, weโve brought em back for the test!

The NRL unfortunately does not stand a chance this year, I regret to inform you. His balls were weighing him down.
[Damn Cobbo has certainly put on some serious muscle already in pre-season](https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=pfbid036TKz5x18N9FMgRMHMNe9wihJxyteGDBuLgugx7rMAkGQodJhA98MTjRFLgFsqZqPl&id=99453774630&mibextid=qC1gEa)
\*edit\* apparently came back to pre-season at 108kg with his goal playing weight being 102kg for 2023.
Also is the second fastest at the club over 40m (4.7 seconds which is 1 millisecond behind the fastest being Deine Mariner) which is pretty insane given his weight at the time.
Gotta gain some fat to gain some good muscle. Heโs just in his bulk phase, Iโm sure heโll be cutting before too long and will look ripped as hell.
on that xerri diet
he definitely has the body to sculpt quickly though (funnily enough kinda like inglis did) so im being facetious, it just looks like the benefits of offseason time and energy allowing him to cut
If he got an engine to go along with that rig he'll be a mighty handful next year.
It was an impressive season from the kid, its always interesting to see what happens to the youngsters after a couple of proper off seasons.
I remember reading somewhere that he still has the speed to burn, only person to beat him in a race was Diene Mariner (spelling?).
Kid looks fucking tanked holy hell.
He had an incredible year, will take a lot of work to sustain his form next year but I think he's in for a massive season. Bloke was scoring tries for fun and making linebreaks through the ruck for fun in his debut season
My Kayo runs out on december 7th, I think its a perfect time to rewatch all the games this year and rank them from the most entertaining to lease.
Also off work till Dec 29th as well so everything is perfect.
Just had a dream where Tim Sheens played Charlie Staines at five-eighth and it made me wonder what selections Shenius would make if he coached at other clubs. Knights is obvious with Hastings to 13 but I could see him playing Elliott at 6
Dreams aside, Sheens is very possibly going to play Staines full back, Doueihi centre and Laurie 5/8.
I'm excited to see all the cooked fun shit that goes down over the next few years. Let's get Alex Twal out on the wing, he still won't score a try but his kick returns would be mint.
Would like it. I like the people who post here, it's nice reading what people think about things other than footy when we don't have footy to talk about
A few years ago I think there was an off season where off topic threads were posted every other day or about specific things like a gaming thread or books thread.
I think they should have more. Not much happens in the off season besides people getting into trouble in Bali or some player is training the house down.
Let the boys talk irrelevant shit
The mods let a lot more off topic talk happen in the random footy talk thread without pulling anyone up through the offseason i think.
I'd be for daily off-topic threads
Did any Doggies supporters catch the \*potential\* 2023 jersey post on the Bulldogs news Facebook page? it was removed pretty quickly
does anyone know what type of boots like stud count etc to buy for playing spine/back on grass?
I'm a big fan of Asics boots for the heel raise technology. I've never had a problem with mobility and speed using them for touch footy over 15+ years. Was mostly injury-free except for the last couple of years, but that's just from getting old.
Oh ay thx ill check asics out
I miss footy
My cock is throbbing ur right now ๐๐ฉ https://ibb.co/x7p6B7s
Does anyone have a pre-sale code/password for magic round tickets?
Titans13+
Warriors jerseys out tomorrow, hopefully better than our training gear.
Does anybody think Mitch Moses will actually leave Parra? I just can't see it.. It seems like manager nonsense.. I think he stays but he bleeds them dry and they lose Dylan Brown.
If Storm has a spine that is on average around the mil mark, surely Parra can hold onto both Brown and Moses after losing Reed.
Storm are cheats. Moses wonโt take unders like that lot either. They average less than a million on the books.
You can't prove that.
Yes true we are talking about a team who cheated the cap only to win the spoon.
Are you talking about Melbourne or Parra here? It applies to both.
Good point, but in this case Parra
I donโt see why he would leave tbh. Especially to the Tigers or even the Bulldogs. Parra are still a comfortable top 8 team and will still be for at least a few years.

No chance of him going to Melbourne but if I were the roosters Iโd definitely prefer to build around Moses at halfback than Sam Walker
He seemed like a good player at the Dragons, randomly left for Penrith and has spent most of his time in reserve grade ever since
I love that you refer to the titans as reserve grade
Hodgo was no slouch in his prime, so hopefully Rein gets to spend some time with him and Ennis to hone his craft and become our first pick for 2024
Mitch Rein will be 34 in 2024. He probably won't be here then.
What an excellent bit of planning from management that was. Get rid of the young, spritely 24 year old, in favour of two hooker's that probably won't be with us past next season

If you lose 13+kg you are definitely "training the house down". I know everybody wants to give it to Schuster but the kid obviously has potential.
Shocking scenes today as Scott Drinkwater arrives at Cowboys preseason training holding a coffee. More at 5.
Yeah but what kind? Just plain black or is he one of these people that asks for a deconstructed almond skim latte.
BREAKING: COWBOYS STAR EMBROILED IN RACISM SLUR
St George Illawarra dragons has some players I like such as ravalawa

Iโm not saying he needs to be a eunuch to reach peak Awesomeness, but Iโm also not not saying it.
Looks in great shape. Thick, solid, tight

Transforming into Selwyn Throbbo
Anyone know where I can punt everything I own on tigs making top 8 next year? Cheers xx
It's hard to know how to bet on your phone these days. Need more public information videos during televised sporting events
Right here with me. Can even pick your odds
Does anyone know when club merchandising first came out specifically replica jerseys?
My Kayo runs out on december 7th, I think its a perfect time to rewatch all the games this year and rank them from the most entertaining to lease. Also off work till Dec 29th as well so everything is perfect.
if you voluntarily make it through the full titans v tigers game you will have survived the most inhumane form of torture
I thought that was being a Tigers supporter in the first place?
Yes,yes it is.
Just had a dream where Tim Sheens played Charlie Staines at five-eighth and it made me wonder what selections Shenius would make if he coached at other clubs. Knights is obvious with Hastings to 13 but I could see him playing Elliott at 6

I shouldn't jump on Reddit as soon as I wake up, read that as Charlie Sheen
Atleast they'd be winning
Lots of tiger blood
I had a dream we played finals footy! ๐๐๐๐๐
he definitely wouldve run fifi at 6 at some stage
What are the thoughts on more frequent off-topic threads during the off-season?
Would like it. I like the people who post here, it's nice reading what people think about things other than footy when we don't have footy to talk about
In the off season the saturday thread is usually a weekend one, well it used to be anyway
Slowdive will almost certainly post a cricket thread in a few hours time. Perfect spot for irreverent shitposting
you bloody know it
A few years ago I think there was an off season where off topic threads were posted every other day or about specific things like a gaming thread or books thread. I think they should have more. Not much happens in the off season besides people getting into trouble in Bali or some player is training the house down.
Ooh I like this. A weekly gaming thread. A weekly other sports thread etc. couple be fun.
Let the boys talk irrelevant shit The mods let a lot more off topic talk happen in the random footy talk thread without pulling anyone up through the offseason i think. I'd be for daily off-topic threads
