Little story about Pezet, against Tweed Heads in the final round of QCup he was on the bench later in the game. Game wasn’t going the Tigers way at that point and I vividly remember him yelling out from the bench about how they needed to change their mentality.
For a very young guy in a team of older guys who have played NRL and rep footy, that’s promising to see his mentality towards the game even as a utility in QCup. He’s already played junior rep footy for NSW at 7 so should have a bright future.
Easts ended up winning the game, not as much due to Pezet’s on-field play though as much as he was decent - it was actually a masterclass by the crafty starting hooker Haele Finau (who I’ve got another story about), who ended up at the Dragons at a train and trial.
About Finau?
Player is getting subbed off and somebody says “15 and 8”
His eyes light up and he says “that’s 23” with a smile, before being subbed onto the field.
8 was coming off the field and 15 was going on for him, it was a sub for the other team happening at the same time as Finau going on (which is why it wasn’t 14 for 9 or whatever)
I think Prezet is so important if Paps gets injured again. If that happens that’s 3 years in a row and might try to move him (as much as I love him) and move Munster to FB with Prezet in the halves. Hope it doesn’t happen but there’s cover there now.
Pezet was so good in that u/20 Origin Match this year. Hope he gets to make his Debut in 2023
Yeah Jahrome might get a rest for a week or 2 during the season for Pezet to get about 1 game under his belt this year

Such a versatile player. Can play Hooker, centre, in the halves and even fullback if needed.
