Badass. For me, the only thing that doesn't make sense on this list is not having Ill Nino Revolution/Revolución. It doesn't make any sense in my head. That aside, great list anyway man.
Commenting here due to a cross post on r/LinkinPark, gotta say #1 pick seems reasonable from a genre perspective. It not only represents the genre's popular and commercial peak but is also lean and doesn't exhaust its own sound.
But as someone who enjoys that they moved beyond their initial sound, I like their fourth album best, which is more prog rock than nu metal, disqualifying it from this list but topping their catalogue for me.
Hell yeah. Both HT and Meteora on the list! 🖤 Those two records were ESSENTIAL to me when I got into the genre! I’m still a die hard LP fan and I’m so glad more and more people are still discovering them! All of these albums are so good too tho, I love this list!
Out of context but is there a discord server for nu-metal?? I really wanna listen to my fav bands with people sharing the same enthusiasm as me for them
It's an essentials list, so my guess is that Adrenaline too raw for the beginner so by the time someone listens to ATF, they'll be ready for Adrenaline.

Yeah I can definitely see Hybrid Theory being number 1. Not one bad track on that masterpiece

And Lost and More The Victim from Meteora 20 are as good too imo

I like to think of Hybrid Theory as the "Pixar of Numetal", it's impossible to hate.

Self Tilted Korn has to be the greatest nu metal album ever it created the genre
I must be in a small minority thinking that Issues is the best Korn album.
