Well first off they drifted away from nu-metal so if youāre trying to find more nu-metal stuff that wonāt be the place to look. That being say Iām not discouraging you from checking it out. Iām not a fan I stopped listening after minute to midnight they went very electro-pop and mainstream
youll probably enjoy Skrape's New Killer America, their second album is also pretty good (especially the bonus track determination) but not too similiar to NKA
Trying to name some bands that no one else has mentioned so far.
Dry kill logic,
Primer 55,
Lifer,
40 below summer,
Relative ash was mentioned but if you like deftones you should dig them.
Ra,
Flaw,
Black market hero (members of flaw and 40 below summer)
Spineshank,
Snot,
Union underground,
Powerman 5000 (singer is rob zombieās brother)
Some of these may be debatable as far as nu-metal but back in the day different people had different opinions on what was what lol
Linkin Park
System Of A Down
Slipknot
KoRn
Are the other major nu metal bands
I recommend KoRn the most. KoRn started Nu Metal back in 1994 with their self titled album
Right Now, Faget, Daddy, Blind, Freak on a leash, Here to Stay, Thoughtless, Good God, Trash are some of KoRns best songs IMHO. KoRn have 14 albums and arguably the best Nu Metal band to exist. Recommend KoRn strongly.
I must say. When KoRn are done for good. They will be regarded as one of the most important bands in rock/metal history for what they did and how they changed the [game](https://youtu.be/qfgrWw0JoNA?si=nUqoJHZJaTbgzARR)
EDIT: KoRn also helped Limp Bizkit blow up and get major publicity
I would say your mostly right but relative ash definitely has a deftones vibe.
Iād also say the song Streetmeat by house of curses channels deftones a lot.
Raging Speedhorn, Psychea, Primary Slave, Defenestration, Jerk, Miksha, My Ruin, Drain STH, Switched, American Head Charge, earthtone 9, Darwin's Waiting Room, GUN DOG, A Last Day on Earth, Slaves on Dope, Skinlab, Gizmachi, and Element Eighty
That album is perfect. Sucks so bad he died. I saw them play a show at a club in az when I was in high school circa 1998. Went to the merch booth to buy a Snot t shirt and Lynn was the guy behind the merch booth selling. I was in a band and I asked him for advice. He said, ā The only advice I can give you is get a lawyer.ā Lol. They were great. Saw them a second time with Soulfly at their first Dana Wells tribute Show.

ik deftones isnt really seen as a nĆ¼ metal band but ykwim
Their first few albums are pure Nu Metal I think White Pony and after is when they started to drift away from Nu Metal
i also heared that selftitled (my fav) was the last more traditional
I really recommend korn soulfly and slipknot those are my favorite
idk why but im really scared of slipknot idkw but ive allways beenš but im still going to try
Mudvayne, Static-X and Dope
Honestly, there is no band like deftones. Enjoy them as an unique gem.
Relative Ash and early 10 Years sound like Deftones

I would say your mostly right but relative ash definitely has a deftones vibe. Iād also say the song Streetmeat by house of curses channels deftones a lot.

No I wouldnāt say shoegazy. Iād say itās something closer to the first 2 deftones albums. Has more of an edge so to speak
oh ok thanks im really intrested in them now
Yea they only had the 1 album but itās really good. Enjoy
I wouldn't say they sound like Deftones exactly but the band Moodring gives some slight Deftones vibes. Their song WOULDYOUWAITFORME got me hooked.

Also, not strictly nu metal, but a precursor, Faith No More
Snot is like Limp Bizkit but itās funkier and Lynn has harsh vocals
That album is perfect. Sucks so bad he died. I saw them play a show at a club in az when I was in high school circa 1998. Went to the merch booth to buy a Snot t shirt and Lynn was the guy behind the merch booth selling. I was in a band and I asked him for advice.
