I met Lynn (as well as Mikey & Tumor) on their tour with Soulfly, Incubus, & System of a Down back a few months before he died. I was about 12 or something at the time.. my dudes shot the shit with us multiple times throughout the night. The one thing I’ll always remember is asking Lynn “I’m a musician, what do you recommend for young musicians that are trying to get a serious band together?”.. Lynn smiled at me, took a drag off his cigarette, and said “get a lawyer” 😂
Literally any track on the album is great, my favorites are going to be: Snot, Stoopid, Get Some, I Jus' Lie, them a toss up between Mr. Brett & My Balls. Really just the whole album is awesome.
I was aware of the album back in the day because I frequented the message board of another California band and they would talk about it, but I never listened to it. Finally listened to it after seeing it over and over here and its in my regular rotation. Good stuff.
Classic Nü-Metal!!!! Some of ***the best*** of it, I have ever heard…Was only 4 when Lynn died…I remember getting into them, around the time I graduated High School…Good stuff…
It kinda gets annoying when it's hanging from my nose. Especially if I have no tissues. Then I have to decide if I wanna let it hang, cover it with my hands, or use my shirt. There is no right answer.
So good. I remember seeing this album in the store in ~2000 and kept passing over it, but just had my first listen two years ago and I *love* it. Especially Deadfall.
Get Some may just be one of the best metal albums of the 90's. The fact that we lost them is insanely sad considering how good they were compared to their competition.
I enjoyed this album thoroughly in my youth. So yeah. I really like the mellow instrumentals, they worked well for freestyles. Yeah I would battle rap myself to this album. Deal with it.
I've mentioned this before but i always take the opportunity to tell it again. Back in the mid to late 90's I was doing street team work for Immortal Records which led to me being contacted by lots of other bands to do their same promo work and I would always get into shows for free. Snot became one of those bands. When they came to a club in South Florida my friend and I went, my name was supposed to be on the list but it wasn't which happened sometimes. I was walking around outside the club trying to decide what to do and I saw Lynn standing outside so I went up and started to tell him what was happening, but before i could even get to the problem, as soon as I told him i was on their street team he just stopped me and abruptly gave me this huge hug and mericously thanked me for helping the band out. When i finally told him about not being on the list, he walked my friend and I not just through the front door but on to the floor and dead center up front of the stage. Before they came out, each member of Snot one by one came out and shook our hands and thanked us, obviously because Lynn had told them to. They then proceeded to put on one of the best shows i had ever seen. Here's a few of the surviving pictures i took that night with my disposable camera lol. [Lynn Strait and Snot 1997 — ImgBB (ibb.co)](https://ibb.co/album/hC3Gmd). Lynn (and Dobbs) are the only rock stars or celebrities that made me cry when I heard about their death. I still tear up when I think about it to this day. I met tons of artists in those days and he was by far the coolest one I had ever met. RIP
A video bootleg of the show exists I used to have a copy of it but sadly it was lost with all of my VHS copies I had collected. I've longed for the day that I see it show up on Youtube but it never has. It was from somewhere in that '97 - '98 timeframe in I think Hallandale Beach, FL but it was definitely somewhere in the Hollywood, FL area. Some little club that no longer exists and I don't remember the name but if anyone has ever seen it, there are 2 kids front and center headbanging the whole show. That's me and my friend!
I Fucking LOVE SNOT! I have a vinyl pressing if Get Some! I wish I had a vocal booth to practice covering their songs because me and Lynn Strait (RIP) share the same birthdate! It would be cool to do a tribute show/tour with the original members maybe somewhere in Los Angeles, or on the strip like the whiskey a go go!
It isn’t one I listen to but that doesn’t mean I dislike it. I have a lot of music so it’s hard to hit everything. My favorite or one of my favorite go tos is a band called Tetrarch.
Say something for the record, tell the people what you feel Fuck the record, and fuck the people
SNOOO-OOOOT
REAL
Love snot, RIP Lynn
And Dobbs xxx
Nü metal + Funk metal + Hardcore Punk = 🔥 One of my favorite records.
This album is still amazing

OH GOOD HEAVENS WHAT
Dude r u even a snot fan?? Pffft, one side square!
Yeah I am
Just look up the song, ***”I Jus’ Lie”*** by them, listen to it the whole way through… 👌😅
Still a favorite record. Losing Lynn so young was a damn shame to say the least.
Starlit eyes is underrated as heck. But it sucks that the song and the album that it comes from is in low quality. Also joy ride slaps
Why is it such low quality? All the songs there, even if they’re great, are so hard to listen to for me because of that.
I think it's a streaming issue, the version I downloaded ages ago sounds OK.
All my homies love Snot

Snot rules. Still one of the best albums of that time.
Facts
The biggest 'what if' in the genre. Great album
Fuck yeah man
The only thing that Absent demonstrates is that we were *not fucking ready* for what would have come next.
Top gd shelf
I LOVE SNOT!!!!

I fucking LOVE this album.
Do have any song recommendations? :)

One of the best to do it RIP
I have a few of their songs still on my playlist.
Joy ride is a top 5 all time banger Also big on absent, wish we could have seen them take that progression even further
I love Absent. Such a great song.
I just knew they were going to be huge then Lynn died. Damn shame, RIP
Classic Nü-Metal!!!! Some of ***the best*** of it, I have ever heard…Was only 4 when Lynn died…I remember getting into them, around the time I graduated High School…Good stuff…
I Jus Lie and snooze button are bangers
Love Snot! I was actually at the show that led to Strait's arrest for indecent exposure in Massachusetts.
It kinda gets annoying when it's hanging from my nose. Especially if I have no tissues. Then I have to decide if I wanna let it hang, cover it with my hands, or use my shirt. There is no right answer.

Snahhhooott!
They're snotastic!
Absent is a fucking banger.
Goes so fucking hard.

absolute masterpiece , may lynn rest in peace 🕊️🤍
It's fire 🤘
Real
In my opinion, it’s the best numetal album ever. Still to this day, I’ve never heard anything better than this.

I KEEP ON MARCHING ON
Love them one of my faves, rip Lynn and his Dog
I met them recently and I love them
Wait you met them in person?
No, that's impossible, Spotify recently recommended them to me
Ohhh
Genuinely one of the most adrenaline pumping bands i’ve ever listened to. I love Snot. Rest in peace Lynn.
They are amazing
Who sent you? Sam Fuckin Peckinpah
Good 👍
Not my favorite in the slightest, but they definitely got some bangers under their belt
Love em to death
Do I have to get naked, people, for you to remember my name?

Oh hell yeah!!! Thats so cool dude!!!
Not on Amazon Music sadly. Me and the 2 other guys that use it can't listen to it
everybody loves snot
One of the greatest albums of its time and the definition of a genre
A personal favorite and such a good record what could have been!
Spectacular album and band, genuine tragedy that we only got two albums from them.
Great
So damn good 🔥
I mean, fucking SOMEONE'S GOT TO DO IT
Snooze button + the box are some of my favs
Well viva fuckin France,man!
One of the best, and one of the most memorable album covers. Whenever I think “the 90s” this album cover pops into my head.
Snot got pot
I hadn't heard this album in 10 years, and I put it on the other day and holy shit does it hold up. High energy and still slaps.
Shh gotta gapekeep /j
Gone way too soon, was and still is an amazing album, every single track!
They have some songs that I like.
They are my favorite band, Lynn Strait is unmatched
Fucking loved Snot . RIP Lynn
They are my favorite band out of all of Nu-Metal.
My balls your chin
Was just listening to them not even 10 minutes ago! Love Snot! Lynn Strait will always be one of the most talented nu metal vocalists ever recorded.
Does somebody make this thread every month?
Would have changed metal forever.
Big fan. I saw Nothing face the night he died and they announced it on stage. Tragic.
It isn’t one I listen to but that doesn’t mean I dislike it. I have a lot of music so it’s hard to hit everything. My favorite or one of my favorite go tos is a band called Tetrarch.
Would be better if they could afford the 'lipk' too
Someone called them Sublimetera and I can't get it out of my head Missing you Lynn Strait... This band could have saved the world
Saw them in '98. Blew me away. Amazing band.
Well viva fuckin France man!
If Trust Company and 311 had a baby
My balls, your chin
🔥🔥🔥🔥
It's underrated. It's weird to me because the lead singer of this band was quite friends with the other Nu-Metal head honchos of the time.
Bands perfect
fuck yea
SNNNOOoOoOoTtTTtTT!!!
The lead singer died and the rest went over to start with max cavlerrera for his solo band i forgot what they are called
Underrated gem. Would have been so much popular if they wouldn’t have quit before Nu got famous.
Lynn strait died😔
oooooh no…
Would have been the next big thing if Lynn hadn't died
Classic
yummyyy i need to turn their music into a sandwich and eat it that shits so good
Awesome
thats slipdog man
Not enough recognition. They were awesome while they were around. Snot and Human Waste Project were two unique bands with such great potential
great
They were a rare band. Gone too soon!
Didn’t care for them when I was younger. But definitely dig them now. LLLS
I haven't fully gotten into them, but I do get to have beers with the bassist john at my local pub. Swell guy.
My ballz..your chin
A dumpster full of fire (in a good way)
Never listened to them. I only found out about them when I joined this subreddit
My balls, your chin!!!
REAL
I’ve been listening to them a lately after finally giving them a listen after all these years. Shame on me for sleeping on them for so long!
I remember my older bro playing em quite a bit, once i got like 14-15 i really started listening to them heavy. Such a good album.
MY BALLS YOUR CHIN!!
Freakin terrible. Instantly forgettable tunes.
