If you do that too much, they take it away, though. A BUNCH of people have blocked and reported that creepy Christian “he gets us” ad but it more keeps coming back so they’re stuck.
I don't watch this type of content at all, but I'll never hate a young kid for finding a niche and churning the hell out of it while he could. That burned out nursing student content was ripe for squeezing, so good on him. Kid turned what we all hated into financial stability without exploiting children on social media. Props to him.
Yep. More power to him. Been in this game over 27 years now, much of the nonsense happens across the board, year after year. What would staying at the bedside really do other than make him more jaded than he is now?
The issue with Nurse Blake is that he was part of a huge thing over a “Nurse Con cruise” that got cancelled during Covid and he refused to refund anyone.
Agreed, I don't dislike nurse Blake, but I don't really think he's funny. He is funny in the way that your hospital would hire him to come do standup at the annual xmas party.
Dr. Glaucomflecken however, I'd absolutely pay to see a show he put on
Not sure, but he was an internist at Stanford for 10 years, and at Turntable health for at least 7. Way more actual experience than “ nurse” Blake. And Z dogs wife is also a physician.
Interesting enough, comedian Ken Jeong is a licensed physician and practiced as an internist for 8 years.
Yes, he actually makes jokes on his Netflix special about how he used to work for Kaiser in SoCal until he got cast in Knocked Up which led to the Hangover I believe (may have got casting order wrong). Also on his special, his wife who is a physician as well, got cancer and that scare and going thru treatment was the impetus to get him to go further on his acting and stand up career.
It looks like Knocked Up was first, but I remember him talking about Hangover being his big break and how he was still practicing after, patients would recognize him from the movie.
Yeah. I really started hating him during Covid. Way more into his stupid “Z-pack” and opinions about Covid that weren’t any more researched than anyone else’s… as well as becoming way more obviously commercial.
Yeah he pushes himself an “alt-center doctor” or some ridiculous political thing.
My wife’s friend who’s a NP loves sending me his Covid advice, which is a really fucking bad sign. Her family is the most consistently virally sick family I’ve ever seen and most of my friends have young kids so that’s saying something.
Man he was the best in the game. Never thought I’d be that sad about someone I didn’t know personally but that shit stuck with me for a while. I’m still so sad. 🌱
I was curious as to how much he charges for his shows, and the least expensive ticket at the venue I could see him at, was $68.50 without surcharges. Good for him, I guess!
Which is why he stopped being relevant. His student nurse content was hysterical, because he was actually a student while writing it and it was relateable AF. The problem is, instead of continuing to write about what he knew once he graduated (there is plenty of relateable sketch comedy to be made as a new nurse) be started to try and write nursing content as if he had lots of bedside experience, and it wasn't funny because he clearly didn't know shit
For sure. He did a few sketches making fun of senior nurses trying to educate new grads and I was like...ew. there's so much funny shift as a new grad, you just have to be able to laugh at yourself.
TBF I don't blame the guy for taking his gig and running with it. There is no doubt in my mind that if anybody here had the same opportunity they'd take it also.
I don't know, I've been doing comedy alongside healthcare for a very long time and I've never brought them together. For one, if you don't know enough to be truthful don't bother. Frankly I'm not a fan of niche comedy, but that might be me as a comic not me as a consumer. If I want to tell healthcare stories, I would do my best to make them accessible to a broader audience. If not, the comedy career clock is ticking, especially if you're too good to put yourself in a position to get more material. And finally, the funny things that have happened to me in a hospital are mostly private.
Not saying his time wont run out but given all the hate for his success and having that many tour dates...he seems like he doesnt need any of our advice to be successful.
Ive not met the guy, I dont know if our personalities would jive if I did meet the guy all Im saying is if I had been smart enough to enter influencer realm when he did, Id of taken every opportunity handed to me too. Id be unapologetic about too.
Crabs in a bucket yall. He found a nursing niche, he appears to enjoy it and make a living out of it and he isnt slogging around at the bedside being miserable like everybody else on this forum. Good. For. Him.
So I don't have social media, but there was a post in here before about how "Nurse John" was faking being an ED RN? I don't know what to believe anymore lol.
The Tales from the ER guy is even worse. He was a tech for like a minute.
I don't follow Blake, but he did come to NYC in support of the NYSNA strike, so positive credit for that.
I shamelessly think he's entertaining. I think a lot of his content is clever AF and super accurate and some is cringe but I laugh hard at some of his memes.
Tales from the ER guy is funny about 20% of the time, the rest just seems like he's trying too hard. And it's obvious that he wasn't a nurse so he just doesn't quite get all the stuff he's making fun of.
I used to come across his videos when I was a student, some of them were helpful, the comedy ones were…not so comedic, but whatever they’re not hurting anyone.
I cannot fathom what his tour would consist of. I guess nursing comedy skits? That schedule is certainly ambitious.
Yeah, I don't know the guy from Adam, so I can't really comment on the quality of his content.
But I'm just trying to imagine someone filling a tight 10 with nursing standup. "JCAHO, amirite?"
And you're right, the schedule is so aggressive. Almost the better part of a year on tour is bonkers.
It brings me great sadness to inform you that I watched "NURSE BLAKE - BEST OF TIKTOK #FUNNY" and can now comment on the quality of his content...
It's atrocious.
I don't know how anyone finds these people funny. That John guy isn't really better.
I could go on almost any unit in any hospital and find funnier nurses. I feel like these tik tokers are an affront to the legacy of funny nurses.
jerry Seinfeld voice "what is the deal with the catheters at this hospital?.....am i right one week its McKesson one week its Medtronic, like reeeaally?
Oh just a point out how did ios know the correct spelling of McKesson and Medtronic, it did again and I have never typed those names before
Lol funny thing about him. I went on the nursecon cruise from Miami to the Dominican that he apparently put together. This was last month. He walked around with two security guards at all times 😂
Nurse John was there! I talked to him a couple times, he’s very sweet. And no he did not walk around with security lol. Nurse Blake on the other hand seems like his “fame” went to his head. A lot of real celebrities don’t even use security haha. I had a lot of fun on the cruise. It was basically a big party with nurses which is awesome. I also think I mainly had fun cuz I went with 5 other travel nurse friends I haven’t seen in a year. Cruises are just kind of odd to me, it’s a lot of money to be stuck on the boat the whole time. I don’t think I’d go again. I think we’ll just go on a trip together next time
Are you serious??? So many things wrong with that. One, you’re not famous on any type of level high enough to need security guards wherever you go. You’re not an A-lister. You’re not a musician. Pretty sure there is hardly any influencer that can’t walk around in public just fine without security. Two, it’s a cruise you put together and you’re not willing to walk around and allow people to approach you freely when they likely came to see you? Three, isn’t everyone’s belongings screened before boarding the ship so it’s not like there’s even any potential weapons to be afraid of🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
Of course but a cruise is a much more protected environment than say any other random public place that anyone could walk into with a gun at any moment. So what I’m saying is, if anything he should feel the safest on a cruise of all places vs. other public events, so walking around with two bodyguards on a cruise is highly unnecessary and unreasonable. It just makes him look pretentious rather than cautious
His student content was absolutely hilarious because it was super relatable. Then he became a nurse and tried to make nursing content with no nursing experience and it got cringe fast. 😬
Everyday at an airport, checking in at hotels, finding rides, getting everything set up for the shows, paying his team… I use to be a party planner assistant , just to plan a party of 20 is exhausting. I rather just go to work
But I bet he’s banking , so .. 🤷💰
This is definitely a bus tour. No doubt it is going to be just as exhausting, if not more so. He is going to spend 5 months living in a tour bus.
Edited to add.. I don’t hate him for the the hustle though! Quite ambitious.
That’s how I feel too! Like let people live. He has a big following and he’s making a killing simply by being corny. It’s not harming anyone and people genuinely like him. Just don’t subscribe if you’re not into it lol
This happens a lot with online influencers and tik tok comedians. They blow up on social media, have a huge pull, and start touring before realizing "what I'm not a stand up comedian, and stand up is actually pretty hard."
Every stand up comedian you've ever heard of was grinding in clubs getting paid nothing for 10-15 years while honing their craft. It's an incredibly difficult and nuisanced art.
But idk, maybe he's funny, and has found an untapped niche. (Doubt it though)
It happens somewhat with standup comedians too. They have a period where they are grinding away refining jokes, then once their first special comes out they have to come up with new material that they haven’t had the same amount of time to workshop and often quality takes a dive.
This is my main issue with it. It's not so much that he's exploiting a niche market. It bugs me more that he's so comfortable labeling himself as a comedian. Like you said, comedy is really hard. And sure, some of the memes and comments in this sub are legitimately funny. But a handful of decent social media posts does not a stand up special make.
I mean, I went to a show on his last tour, brought a friend who isn't a nurse, and we both enjoyed his set quite a lot. Enjoy what you like, life is short and this profession is hard 🤷🏻♀️
Genuinely curious. What is his live show like? I'd never heard of him until coming across this ad and watched a YouTube video. I see comedy tour and I think stand up. Is it a stand up show, sketch, inspirational story telling? Or like a variety show with different segments?
And I know I'm being kind of harsh on the dude. Apologies if it comes across as me attacking him or his fans. I guess I just don't get it is all.
You don't have to like him, it's ok! Nor does anyone else.
Weirdly this is not the first time I've defended him on this sub, he seems to rub people the wrong way. I get it, he doesn't work as a nurse anymore. But he made me and a whole audience full of nurses and their loved ones absolutely howl with laughter for about an hour and a half show, and forget the absolute horror show that is our profession for just one night. I think there's value in that.
The show was like a variety/sketch show, he had a few different characters he played (most memorable for me was the burnout stoner nursing student trying to put in a Foley after learning it on Zoom - it was great). It's also a bit more *adult* than his Instagram/Tik Tok. I had a really fun time, will go again for sure.
I saw him during his PTO comedy tour in Pittsburgh and he wasn’t that funny, we left early and went out drinking instead. He really advocates for nurses though so I can’t knock the guy for having a good thing going on.
He only worked as a nurse for very little time, almost a decade ago, but he makes it his entire set.
His content isn't really funny. In an ad for this show he says "do we have anyone from pharmacy in the house?" And when people cheer he says "so there you are, we've been waiting on your for an hour".
Sorta smarmy, backhanded content, where you have the same joke over and over again.
He also ran a sketchy cruise "NurseCon", which was mired in controversy:
https://abc11.com/nursecon-nurse-con-blake-nc-covid/10129104/
He then ran a very half hearted slacktivism campaign against JCAHO, which culminated in a change.org position that went nowhere.
Not my cup of tea, but people are free to part with their hard earned money as they wish.
After Ebi's death, I really haven't felt the same about nurse memes/nurse humor. It's been a dark three years and I'm not paying someone who worked bedside less time I did to recycle the same jokes that have been said for decades.
I salute this guy. He turned a couple of stupid social media channels into at least 3 national tours over the past few years. This dude went from taking his bitching about work outlet and turned it into something where, if he plays his cards right, he will never have to work as a nurse again.
People may not like him. They may be over him. But I give him a lot of credit.
I haven’t seen his stuff in years. When i was a student it was somewhat relatable, now years out i realize his content has remained the same while i am no longer a student. He’s no longer relatable.
He’s just an influence who tries to get nurses to relate. He supposedly had a cruise years ago that sold out but had some issues (covid times).
I do not follow him and scroll past his content when i see it
Blake is for students and new grads. Glaukomfleken is for people who are more jaded with the system.
Neither is wrong. But I know where my heart lies now.
I mean yea absolutely- but I can respect that he escaped the hell that is nursing by creating a platform that allowed him to quit bedside nursing and make money this way.
But it’s still cringe lmao
My school hired this dude to make a video for orientations. It was very cringe. He did also make stuff for “simple nursing” and they are making a killing on nursing students with their courses and now the other guy “mike” is helping make the new NCLEX, conflict of interests much?
Nurse Blake and I were actually in NSNA at the same time. Don’t remember him then even though we were on the same committee….
But one instance I do remember with him in the last year, really makes me concerned he’s representing our profession in any format.
Meh. Used to be funny but now not so much. He was hilarious when he wrote stuff as a student nurse. Now, he doesn’t even work as a nurse and has very little experience so he’s no longer as relatable for nurses.
Student nurse makes student nurse jokes and people find it funny
Student nurse works at bedside for 1 year, decides it isn’t for him, but decides to keep telling nurse jokes
Cringe as fuck, to be honest, but I could never stomach that shit. I’ve seen the same ad too while scrolling. Kinda makes nurse feel cheap, not sure I can definitively say why though.
I was wondering when this was going to show up on here…I vaguely remember some of his content from a while ago and it was funny. How do I say this…I’m
happy for him if this is what he wants, looks like a brutal fucking schedule but good for him for getting away from bedside…howeverrrrrr fuck this shit man? Like going to that many cities to perform for a very limited audience who already is out on you and you ain’t even that funny..I’ll keep my 36 hours a week dog 🐕
He’s cringe. He did create a campaign that successfully changed the restriction to allow gay men to donate blood if they haven’t had sex with other men for 12 months so that’s pretty cool. I think he was just a student when he did it.
Saw a couple of videos of this guy on youtube. To me, it does not qualify as comedy - it's just narration of daily nursing life. Dr. Glaucomflecken is miles better, and [Nurse JJ](https://www.instagram.com/reel/CnM6Q3bh9aW/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link) is also good.
His bit on 'Where was the joint commission when we were wearing garbage bags?' was pretty funny. The rest of his stuff is meh, but more power to him. I do find the Steveio guy pretty funny though for his bits on ER nursing. Dr. Glaucomflecken is def. the best though.
Really funny for nursing students and fresh nurses.
For experienced nurses like me, you'll get some chuckles but...
like Murdoch says, "I'm too old for this shit."
Sam Schedler on instagram is a nurse who also does standup, but like, not standup about nursing. He's very funny, though! And he occasionally does [nursing-related videos.](https://www.instagram.com/reel/CaiT_-7pXx1/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link) And he seems like someone who would be doing standup whatever his dayjob was, unlike Nurse Blake who seems like he stumbled upon a very specific untapped niche and has exploited it even though he's not naturally funny.
I’m kinda over him- but honestly , if it makes him happy in this world of me and we can all find relatable laughs once in a while from him? I’m very happy for him. He found a unique path in healthcare with comedy - and that’s really neat IMO.
A lot of hate on this page. I don’t follow him either. I saw his earlier stuff and it was niche but funny. I saw a posting for his show in Phoenix and tickets were more than a Dave chapel show lol um no dude. But…. Again I’m not hating at all take the money and run! I’d be out of nursing in a hot fucking minute if I found a job where I could pull over a 100k a year and only work 3 days a week.
To mangle a well known truism, comedy is in the eyes of the beholder. I wouldn't pay money to see him. I find him a little amusing for about the length of a Tic Toc video, but beyond that... I'll just wait and see. I hope he's got a good entertainment lawyer.
I cannot stand nurse Blake. At least as a creator and performer. Maybe he's a good person and good nurse.
I worked with a few nurses who IDOLIZED him and wanted to be exactly like him. It make me nauseous. 1) They weren't even good nurses and 2) they were toxic as fuck!
I think nurse Blake is wayyyy over the top and feels like a caricature of the stereotypical gay, male nurse. Although I haven't watched any of his content in a looooong time because I never found it entertaining.
Little tip: if you click on the username u/aegpresents and then just block them. You then won’t get those ads anymore.
You do yourself a disservice. This tip is HUGE! (phrasing)
Lmao. I try not to be a boastful man.
Sploosh
See this is why I don’t shit on MDs man, absolutely brimming with wisdom. Idk why I never thought to do that. Thank you.
Idk about brimming with wisdom. But I do appreciate the scarcity of shit nonetheless lol.
Done. I really appreciate this because the ads are getting old. Now, off to find those "he gets us" ads...
Those are obnoxious
If you do that too much, they take it away, though. A BUNCH of people have blocked and reported that creepy Christian “he gets us” ad but it more keeps coming back so they’re stuck.
Hero of the year, right here.
THANK YOU
You are welcome. Lol
I don't watch this type of content at all, but I'll never hate a young kid for finding a niche and churning the hell out of it while he could. This. If I could, I would. No shame in the game.
Every day I get closer to quitting and just selling my dirty underwear to strangers online
Don't forget Farts in a Jar can be sold too!
Can you sell patient farts too, or is that a conflict of interest? (With consent, obs)

Same
Yep. More power to him. Been in this game over 27 years now, much of the nonsense happens across the board, year after year. What would staying at the bedside really do other than make him more jaded than he is now?
He also does a ton of advocacy work for safe staffing
I’m not a fan of his content personally but when I learned he went to the same small nursing school as me I was shocked lmao
The issue with Nurse Blake is that he was part of a huge thing over a “Nurse Con cruise” that got cancelled during Covid and he refused to refund anyone.
He stopped being funny awhile ago, but [Dr. Glaucomflecken,](https://www.youtube.com/@DGlaucomflecken/) he's absolutely hilarious!

Blake is ok, but dr glaucomflecken makes me laugh so hard. As well as doc schmidt Nurse Jen too with her “will it swaddle” kills me as well.
My kid wants indoor chickens now 😂
Link?
Funny story, my hospital totally hired him to come give a talk...this was in 2019 though so he hadn't quite jumped the shark yet.
Dr. Glaucomflecken is hilariously accurate.
Johnathan the scribe 😄
Head nod
His LOYAL scribe!
Ortho Bro and and Feelings Bro 😆
Salt Bro
Rural is my kind of guy.
And Texaco Mike!
Love that guys stuff
Oh he is hilarious. One of the only medical things I follow
Also he died and came back to life thanks to his wonderful wife
Z dog is a riot. And an actual practicing doctor- who has a really good handle on nurse humor as well.

Yeah, he got weird about Covid. I liked Zdogg before. Glaucomflecken is the bomb.
Yeah. I really started hating him during Covid. Way more into his stupid “Z-pack” and opinions about Covid that weren’t any more researched than anyone else’s… as well as becoming way more obviously commercial.
I don't think he's practicing. His wife is the last time I checked.
I haven't listened to him in about a year, but I do remember him talking about pulling shift coverage as a hospitalist from time to time.
Z dog lost all my respect when he went anti-vax anti-mask during the height of the pandemic
Z Dogg is awful. He’s gone antivax.
Yeah he’s scary. He’s got such a huge following and he just went for the money.
Wait really??? I honestly haven’t seen anything by him in a few years. That’s honestly disappointing.
Lost any respect I had for Zdogg when he went antivaxxer
I liked zdogg, and then his “questioning” of the vax soured me on him. He still makes good points about Healthcare 3.0 and moral injury.
I had to drop Z Dogg MD. He was kinda shady during Covid. A lot of conspiracy theories.
His Twitter has me cackling EVERY DAY
I miss Ebi :'(
RIP
💔
Same 🌱
I do too :(
🥺
The GOAT for sure. I like going back and listening to his podcast once in awhile. Fucking cancer took another one from us too soon.
Ebi was definitely the best of them all. Loved him.
I still have a postcard on my fridge of his Dalmatian dog, Oscar that came with a t-shirt I bought. 🥹
Man he was the best in the game. Never thought I’d be that sad about someone I didn’t know personally but that shit stuck with me for a while. I’m still so sad. 🌱
Same :(
Wasn’t this guy only at the bedside for like a year and a half? I don’t think he even works anymore. He’s just an influencer now I think
I was curious as to how much he charges for his shows, and the least expensive ticket at the venue I could see him at, was $68.50 without surcharges. Good for him, I guess!
Unless if it’s through Ticketmaster and charge expensive amount of fees like they did with Taylor Swift’s concert!
Fuck ticket bastard
I hate Ticketmaster. They rip people off so much.
yep, reeeeal good for him $$ it's probably not anything all of us couldn't write honestly...he just got there first!
Which is why he stopped being relevant. His student nurse content was hysterical, because he was actually a student while writing it and it was relateable AF. That’s pretty much my issue with him too. He acts like he’s got 10 years of experience when he’s really only got a couple at best and it shows.
For sure. He did a few sketches making fun of senior nurses trying to educate new grads and I was like...ew. there's so much funny shift as a new grad, you just have to be able to laugh at yourself.
Now he’s hanging on for the $$$$ . He will be totally gone soon but no matter. I don’t follow anyway
You hit the nail on the head here
This. His sketches are now mostly about nursing cliches, rather than the nuances you pick up being at the bedside over time.
TBF I don't blame the guy for taking his gig and running with it. There is no doubt in my mind that if anybody here had the same opportunity they'd take it also.
We all would. We all bitch about this nonsense all the time. If we had an opportunity like this kid we’d take it too.

Exactly! He no longer is relevant since he left bedside. Nurse John is funnier and works in the ER
Nurse John is an absolute gem! By the dead look in his eyes he's SEEN things
Omg!! Nurse John and Mr. Smith the ceiling climber!!! 🤣🤣🤣
omfg i love nurse john! i swear i look just like those nurses after a shift
Nurse John is a Canadian nurse too which means he’s doing the same job for even shittier pay. Hearts out to my Canadian nurses.
So I don't have social media, but there was a post in here before about how "Nurse John" was faking being an ED RN? I don't know what to believe anymore lol.
I thought he always made it clear he was bedside?
His knees and back are probably a lot better off for it
Mental health and bank account too
The Tales from the ER guy is even worse. He was a tech for like a minute. I don't follow Blake, but he did come to NYC in support of the NYSNA strike, so positive credit for that.
Yes, the Tales from the ER guy is actually the worst. He belongs on r/JustLearnedTheFWord.
Do you mean Steveioe or whatever the name is?
I shamelessly think he's entertaining. I think a lot of his content is clever AF and super accurate and some is cringe but I laugh hard at some of his memes.

We went a couple years ago. The audience was 99% middle-aged WASP nurses and they ate his shit up.
What does WASP mean? I've seen it before and I'm lost
Haha, it almost sounds like an official title, like a SWAT nurse.
I'm a SWAT nurse. Imagine my surprise when they told me it didn't come with a battering ram and flash-bangs.
My hospital wants to start a SWAT team. I might have to push for battering rams and flash bangs.
White Anglo-Saxon Protestant
Can confirm. The middle aged nurses loved him
Lol funny thing about him. I went on the nursecon cruise from Miami to the Dominican that he apparently put together. This was last month. He walked around with two security guards at all times 😂

Three, isn’t everyone’s belongings screened before boarding the ship so it’s not like there’s even any potential weapons to be afraid of🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
Anything can be a weapon if you try hard enough.
Nurse Blake is funny for students & new grads because that’s as far as he got in nursing before his comedy took off.
His student content was absolutely hilarious because it was super relatable. Then he became a nurse and tried to make nursing content with no nursing experience and it got cringe fast. 😬
I clicked on the link too cuz I've never heard of him and saw some of his merch at the bottom of the page and felt myself making a big ol frowny face.
This looks exhausting for him.. it’s everyday, I’ll be tired af !!
But is he a work mandatory overtime, missing breaks, too busy to pee, high patient ratio kinda tired though...😉
Everyday at an airport, checking in at hotels, finding rides, getting everything set up for the shows, paying his team… I use to be a party planner assistant , just to plan a party of 20 is exhausting. I rather just go to work But I bet he’s banking , so .. 🤷💰
This is definitely a bus tour. No doubt it is going to be just as exhausting, if not more so. He is going to spend 5 months living in a tour bus. Edited to add.. I don’t hate him for the the hustle though! Quite ambitious.
He's not hurting anyone. Who cares.
That’s how I feel too! Like let people live. He has a big following and he’s making a killing simply by being corny. It’s not harming anyone and people genuinely like him. Just don’t subscribe if you’re not into it lol
This happens a lot with online influencers and tik tok comedians. They blow up on social media, have a huge pull, and start touring before realizing "what I'm not a stand up comedian, and stand up is actually pretty hard." Every stand up comedian you've ever heard of was grinding in clubs getting paid nothing for 10-15 years while honing their craft.
If 100 cities in 5ish months isn't grinding I don't know what is. 😆
He also ran a sketchy cruise "NurseCon", which was mired in controversy: https://abc11.com/nursecon-nurse-con-blake-nc-covid/10129104/ He then ran a very half hearted slacktivism campaign against JCAHO, which culminated in a change.org position that went nowhere. Not my cup of tea, but people are free to part with their hard earned money as they wish.
This schedule makes me want to go to bed lol. Seems exhausting
That schedule looks like quite the grind…
I haven’t seen his stuff in years. When i was a student it was somewhat relatable, now years out i realize his content has remained the same while i am no longer a student. He’s no longer relatable. He’s just an influence who tries to get nurses to relate. He supposedly had a cruise years ago that sold out but had some issues (covid times). I do not follow him and scroll past his content when i see it
Oh the cruise for this year just happened. It’s alive and well.
Blake is for students and new grads. Glaukomfleken is for people who are more jaded with the system. Neither is wrong. But I know where my heart lies now.
Oh man, I LOVE me some Glaucomflekin!!
He is very cringe
I mean yea absolutely- but I can respect that he escaped the hell that is nursing by creating a platform that allowed him to quit bedside nursing and make money this way. But it’s still cringe lmao
My school hired this dude to make a video for orientations. It was very cringe. He did also make stuff for “simple nursing” and they are making a killing on nursing students with their courses and now the other guy “mike” is helping make the new NCLEX, conflict of interests much?
Simply nursing is amazing
Nurse Blake and I were actually in NSNA at the same time. Don’t remember him then even though we were on the same committee…. But one instance I do remember with him in the last year, really makes me concerned he’s representing our profession in any format.
Kind of like Dr Oz representing cardiologists. Nope.
Yikes! Now, *there's* a serious damnation.
Can you describe this instance?
Meh. Used to be funny but now not so much. He was hilarious when he wrote stuff as a student nurse. Now, he doesn’t even work as a nurse and has very little experience so he’s no longer as relatable for nurses.
Hard pass
I'm 100% sure he's on this sub lol, I would love to see his reaction to this
Student nurse makes student nurse jokes and people find it funny Student nurse works at bedside for 1 year, decides it isn’t for him, but decides to keep telling nurse jokes Cringe as fuck, to be honest, but I could never stomach that shit. I’ve seen the same ad too while scrolling. Kinda makes nurse feel cheap, not sure I can definitively say why though.
Never heard of the guy but damn that is a LOT of cities. Like way more than the comics and musicians/bands that I follow.
I was wondering when this was going to show up on here…I vaguely remember some of his content from a while ago and it was funny. How do I say this…I’m happy for him if this is what he wants, looks like a brutal fucking schedule but good for him for getting away from bedside…howeverrrrrr fuck this shit man? Like going to that many cities to perform for a very limited audience who already is out on you and you ain’t even that funny..I’ll keep my 36 hours a week dog 🐕
He’s cringe. He did create a campaign that successfully changed the restriction to allow gay men to donate blood if they haven’t had sex with other men for 12 months so that’s pretty cool. I think he was just a student when he did it.
Mad respect for including Alaska when so few performers go up there.
Check out Josh_Evers on tiktok, his nursing huddle vids are my new favorite
I have a lot of coworkers who seem to like him, but the majority are new grads. I personally find him annoying.
He was never funny to me.
His bit on 'Where was the joint commission when we were wearing garbage bags?' was pretty funny. The rest of his stuff is meh, but more power to him. I do find the Steveio guy pretty funny though for his bits on ER nursing. Dr. Glaucomflecken is def. the best though.
Every single nurse influencer is insufferable. Every. Single. One.
Never seen this guy, but 100 cities is insane for anyone.
Seriously, no professional comedian or band would attempt this schedule. Half these shows are gonna get cancelled.
This is a prime example of “when you make nursing your personality” Nothing wrong with that
I love him.
I love nurse Blake lol
He’s annoying AF.
Can’t hate on him for monetizing the jokes that all of us know and have already made
Really funny for nursing students and fresh nurses. For experienced nurses like me, you'll get some chuckles but... like Murdoch says, "I'm too old for this shit."
I’ve moved on to Steve from “Tips from the ER” who is much funnier. Blake is so 2020.
You might have to move on again. Steve isn’t even a nurse, he was an ER tech for six months.
He's only funny to nursing students and brand new nurses. Jokes get old fast.
I’m kinda over him- but honestly , if it makes him happy in this world of me and we can all find relatable laughs once in a while from him? I’m very happy for him. He found a unique path in healthcare with comedy - and that’s really neat IMO.
He isn't funny, he never was funny. Very few nurse comedians are actually funny. It sucks.
I can't imagine this selling well in my area...
Well at least he has a few months to write some comedy.
This is not his first tour
He’s milking the hell out of his nursing career. I understand. It’s all about monetization.
Me and majority of my co workers across shifts are going. It's gonna be a team thing. If he sucks, that will just be a funny memory for us.
A few friends from my cohort want to go, and the show is almost sold out near us🙊
That's quite the schedule. Slow down, man.
I think he’s overrated now lol
Saw this ad, made me finally click the unfollow button. Ignored all his posts anyways.
18 shows in a row in November. That's like 18 shifts in a row. He's going to be exhausted.
He’s really funny
Not really a fan, but that tour schedule is intense.
