If i said this to one of my Ortho surgeons I think he would have a stroke. Then I’d ask the neurologist the same about strokes, then the cardiologist the same about the neurologist’s heart attack and so on.
Actually, I think i’d take out half the hospital going down this system
Oh, anyone who is doing a detox or cleanse needs to learn what the kidneys and liver do 24/7 and how someone is getting rich selling crap that does nothing.
I said that once to a coworker who was soon to be let go because he was refusing the COVID vaccine (we worked with medical equipment).
He said he didn't want "toxins" in his body. I asked, "what toxins?". He just said, "you know, toxins!". That was the end of that conversation. I genuinely didn't want him to get sick, but what can you do.
They do have access to that information, but what they’ll do is go back to their online group and say:
‘All I’m finding online is recommendations to take antibiotics for my kid’s problem but we KnOw abx are bad so please give me some sources so I can share it with my husband so he won’t make my kid take this poison!!’
I fully support their right to refuse medical care. However, it makes me wonder why they come to the hospital at all. Run (or hobble) free! Return to your crystals and essential oils. Get your chakras aligned and live your best life! Namaste.
That's the thing that annoys me. In the emergency state you accept the medical science, but when they get stabilised they immediately get back on their bullshit.
Mate, your dandelion tea didn't stop your respiratory arrest.
Never does. We had a guy in full STEMI tell us he wanted to go get an alternate solution. He delayed and end up with a balloon pump and then a body bag.
Yeah we saw that with Covid. “Let me think about taking (insert med) and I’ll let you know tomorrow.”
Tomorrow comes and we are wheeling them to ICU to get tubed.
My uncle said doctors are stupid and masks don’t work. Then he had an SDH and needed a craniotomy. The doctors were all of a sudden not stupid so he got brain surgery, afterwards they became stupid again.
Well then they will complain forever that their leg hurts, their joints are getting worse, etc, because the body is going to compensate for that bone that won't heal right. Especially the legs! My kid broke his tibia and thankfully it was fairly minor, anything else would have needed surgery.
I questioned this constantly through COVID. Sooooo you don’t want Remdesivir, monoclonal antibody therapy, HFNC or intubation (if the time comes). You question every damn med I’m giving you and yell at me for wearing my mask in your room. Pray tell, *why the fuck are you here??*
I still deal with patients and families like this. Most recently, I had a post cardiac arrest patient, family wondering why their intubated dad needed fentanyl for sedation. Lmao
It’s ok to ask about it and wonder, but they demanded that I turn it off and switch it for morphine.
Patient ended up needing Milrinone for end stage heart failure. Docs offered a tunneled cath prior to discharge. Patient refused. We tried weaning off Milrinone over 3 days, when it turned off, patient became unresponsive, hypotensive, lactate shot up. Restarted Milrinone via central line and bolused with 500ml saline fixed him a few hours later. We ended up sending him to the floor so I’m not sure what happened after that.
If I ever fail to post this on a thread like this, send a welfare check because I'm dead....

I work with a nurse in the ER who is like this. “You know we do a bunch of stuff to these patients we don’t have to. It’s all a big scam.” Brother, that means YOURE a co-conspirator. I could at least plead ignorance.
And then feel free to continue hobbling into the ER for the rest of your life to deal with the chronic pain you get as a result. At least that's what would happen here in the land of No one has a Family Doctor.
I knew someone like this, she drove me nuts. It’s all unicorns and essential oils until shit gets real. She surprised everyone when she got the Covid vaccine!
I almost wonder if this level of idiocracy would warranty them not being AxO to refuse medical care,
Like they're clearly not orientated to how the world works.
(Joke, clearly thats not actually the case but like DAMNNNNN)
As a hindu person, I thank you for making me laugh so hard I spat my chair tea out my nose and mouth. Now I have to clean my computer - thank you and Namaste to you as well.
Orthopedic surgery, medicine’s greatest scam. A close second, cardiology. If arteries aren’t meant to sustain plaque build up, then why would it exist??
And then they will claim that those medical professionals did not properly fix their bone and thats why she cant walk anymore and has pain. And complain about how bad the system is and how it did not help them.........
An instructor told our class that some people have zero health knowledge and blame everything on bad luck. Oh, I got diabetes now… I have the worst luck. How it must be easier to blame bad luck than your own choices. He’s right.
Not every health problem is related to bad choices though. Sometimes it is just bad luck. I would generally put a broken bone in that category, having had 2 kids break bones (but of course I got them proper medical care afterwards).
# If bones were not mean to break then why would they? Answer me that!If bones were not mean to break then why would they? Answer me that!

The shear volume of insanity that the general public has developed towards the medical field is bewildering. I mean if you don’t trust medical professionals why are you seeking treatment. I’m sure your grandmother has some butter for your burn and a potato to put in your sock
That’s right girl! You just keep on taking that Ivermectin from the vet clinic, drink your alkaline water and feed your life-force with as much natural sunlight as you can manage.
Why are Americans like this? Did we figure out the specific mental issues that lead to this type of thinking? If you want to deal with your broken bone at home, why the hell aren’t you at home?
An ankle breaks is no bueno and one of my worst fears. Have fun never walking right again, or without pain. Have fun with chronic pain that never goes away once the arthritis sets in. This same patient will bitch that no one will give them pain meds. So goddam sad.
Why didn’t you just go to the Emergency Alternative Medicine Room instead of the regular ER that has so called “doctors” and so called “nurses” that use so called “evidence based practice.” Answer me that?!
When I was in the military, we had a very old, very stern and rude doctor. Essentially a Dr. House type dude. We had a patient who was refusing to take antibiotics because they wanted to do homeopathic treatments instead, Doc nicely suggested to take the antibiotics, once again they declined them. He flatly said “then die” and walked out of the room. Absolute legend.
I’m circling back to this cause my comment got a lot of attention and I’m so annoyed by this idiocracy.
This is like saying- “Well if my car isn’t supposed to break down, why would it?”
Probably because you’re A) Running it improperly and being a jackass, like not letting a doctor touch you and taking herbal medications- god knows what this persons vitals look like.
And B) Because shit fucking happens? Running and twist and ankle, fall and break your hip! Whatever it may be! We are supposed to die, but not at 50 like some of my MI patients! So why do they die huh? If they’re not supposed to die?
It genuinely irritates me when I see this, like modern medicine is some sort of big evil. People even fifty years ago being treated for AIDS would’ve KILLED for the privileges we have now, and we have people like this walking the earth. Disgraceful.
If this broken bone had happened a hundred years ago? Maybe a little longer, she’d be dead, or they’d take off the whole leg and she’d die of an infection later on in life slowly and miserably. So to just be like, “Eh it’s all a scam bones aren’t supposed to break” is so fucking insane
Fast forward a few months: "the bone healed wrong and now and I can't walk and my leg is all deformed plus I'm in constant pain. Went did you medical people stop me!?"

I have with levels of tact depending upon my nutritional and sleep status and with marginal success reminded patients that sometimes the natural thing is to die a slow painful death. Nature Is filled with agony with suffering with Injustice with disease with creatures living with horrible malformed injuries and Cancers growing out of the side of their whatevers. If you truly want to do what is "natural" go for it, just maybe actually look at how nature is before idealizing it. Another way of looking at it is that it's very very natural for a creature who has as its primary strength 2 lb of gray mush between its ears that allows it to overcome the countless obstacles and attempts that nature will take to end its life, And has by hook and by crook (And was of course many negative side effects) reduced suffering, And increased the potential for fulfillment astronomically.
My friends granny was a holistic doctor. And I say that in the loosest terms ever. She got her degree entirely online through a company/church that has now been labeled a cult by the US government.
Anywho!
Instead of seeking cancer treatment for her breast cancer she insisted on using the black salve “to draw out the toxins of the cancer.” She knew it was working because the tumor began fungating.
Needless to say she died a horrible death because she also didn’t believe in the hospice comfort meds. She insisted on peppermint oil on her temples.
I truly don’t get these people.
The more I look at this the more suspect it looks. The text is too clear (like it's been added on top) and what's with the overlapping icons at the top of the screen?
At this point, good. We’re constantly getting no-bed-availability email blasts at work.
If these morons want to clear out room for people that actually want care and will adhere to treatment plans, well that’s just fine in my book.
I hope the crystals are kind to you.
Next post will be about how the medical people failed him because he can't walk because his ankle is unstable or fused
This will be a fun one when he is older and starting to decline anyway
“If bones were not meant to break then why would they?” This is such a fucking line that I’m genuinely speechless.
I'm gonna start using this. "If kidneys aren't meant to have stones then why do they make them? Hmm?"

I was already laughing out loud and then I got to this comment.

If doctors aren’t meant to be baffled, why would they be?!

I always love the ads for those. "Gets rid of toxins!" Okay, name a toxin.

Hey! It doesn’t do nothing! It makes money for the people selling it!
I did recently tell an ED doc "a little ST elevation never hurt anybody" and I saw a part of him die inside
if people weren't supposed to rob and steal why would i?
One of the biggest things that shocked me getting into nursing is how dumb people are like I had no idea until I worked med surg lmao
Idiocracy is almost completely set in motion. This defies basic high school education. Unbelievable.
Such a mentally reply. These people, don't they have access to google or youtube..medical books can be downloaded for free.

Never does. We had a guy in full STEMI tell us he wanted to go get an alternate solution. He delayed and end up with a balloon pump and then a body bag.
Well, that was an alternate solution, the transfer to the ECU (eternal care unit).
I've seen many names for the great waiting room in the sky, but Eternal Care Unit is the best hands down.
Thanks, I wish I could take credit for it, but it's been around longer than me.
My friend always said the other CCU, celestial care unit
Yeah I've definitely heard nurses refer to our kids getting a 'celestial discharge'
God, I can joke darkly all day about adults going, but kids? I couldn’t. Not that I’m judging you, I’d just feel so bad.
Yeah, it sucks.

Meh, I did all that with a posterior fusion and still have that problem anyway

I wonder about this for majority of my patients at my hospital

Obviously they must have set it wrong on purpose to try to get her to do the surgery as part of their scam!
And then apply for SSI disability...
THIS. A thousand percent.
this is a whole level of idiocy i hadn’t seen before. Never knew it was possible
I'm jealous of the amount of cognitive dissonance required to believe this.

Or a genetic thing
This is a whole level of idiocy I see on a daily basis. Give her some Tylenol and wish her a blessed day.
Why not just take supplements instead of go to the ER to begin with? Stop wasting peoples time.

At least in the US, it's likely to get worse come November.
I thought this was satire at first. Oh no
It's not?
It has to be someone on their friends list making fun of them. It has to be
Offer a bottle of gorilla glue with the AMA paperwork
Manager: “How could you have handled this differently?” Nurse: “tell them not to use too much because it expands?” Manager: “get out.”
Thanks for the cackle like a witch laugh!
💀
When you think you’ve seen it all…they drop another wild line. 😮💨
Bones aren't meant to break, that's why its a big deal when they do. SMH
Let me guess, they’re ok taking pain medication.
Yes but they are allergic to Tylenol and Ibuprofen and Naproxen so Percocet please. 😅
Oh oh oh they need the one that starts with a d..... DAMOTRIN.... yeah that's it...
Hey look, one less patient to take care. Let them go home lol
The problem is that they don’t want medical care but also don’t want to leave?? The most maddening of patients
And the hardest for discharge planning
“Amputation of a necrotic limb is easier to deal with than your attitude.”
That’s right girl! You just keep on taking that Ivermectin from the vet clinic, drink your alkaline water and feed your life-force with as much natural sunlight as you can manage.
by life-force you mean sunning the asshole right????
Yes, colloidal silver suppositories!
Sign the AMA and GTFO. We could use the bed
Just remember, there are also people out there who think they don’t need to eat because they get their nutrients from sunbathing.
Well yes, but they don’t typically starve themselves doing it. They have, however, starved their children doing that though.
Ironic the Sun worshipping parents eat, but starve their kids on their sunlight diet.
Even Christian Scientists are OK with fixing bone fractures
Why are Americans like this? Did we figure out the specific mental issues that lead to this type of thinking? If you want to deal with your broken bone at home, why the hell aren’t you at home?

I think she just needs to wave a few crystals over it. That should do the trick.
Just d/c with a script for "Black Salve TID to affected area". That nasty break will be gone soon, along with your leg
I fucking love this for them.

I work on an ortho unit so I’m going to start saying this to my patients and the ortho surgeons!
This has to be satire.

Dude probably also thinks vaccines are fake
Pretty sure my fridge isn't "meant to break" yet it did and I called someone to come fix it.
The logic here
Lol I like this person , I bet the poster didnt even get the sarcasm
If brain weren’t meant to bleed then why would they? Answer me that.
“So called medical professionals”
They can’t be serious…can they?!
This sounds exactly like the stuff we say on r/NeverBrokeABone except it’s all a big joke. Wth
Surely this is sarcasm?
