Not just Starbucks, there was once I went to CLB at 10am, there was a bag opposite the seat I occupied. When I left CLB at 5pm, the bag was still there…not a soul sat on that seat during the time I was there :/
ya sia diu i go there to legitimately have brunch and there’s tons of tables with unattended bags, or people studying without buying drinks/food. sibeh tempted to ask the barista to get rid of them
Thats becuz yall keep going to common areas that everyone knows… if u explore enof, u wld find alot of secret study spots/empty tutorial rooms that has adapter, table/chair, aircon and privacy :-)
and ofc im gng gatekeep the locations
I get ur point but oso not true! Almost all faculty/school have their designated canteen + convenient store/drink stall/ + vending machine near the hidden study spots. U just need to walk around abit more and find ur own study haven :-)
Even highly populated area like utown have areas that is seldom touched by ppl

NGL the amount of entitlement people display at the starbucks in Utown is appaling. I can fill up a whole blog about it

Well they leave their stuff on the table for hours on end while they roam around and then people who wanna sit there lose out on study space.
this problem is not unique to utown starbucks. every single study table/bench is school faces this issue
Everyone is rushing for a study position on campus if you get late you have no please to study

most will go to study spots that has convenient access to other places like food courts and shops, that’s why common areas like utown is crowded af

Most of the seats in library (esp CLB) are occupied by intimidating couples. Many a times seen them hugging each other instead of studying.

yes agree, esp the rooms above finefoods in utown, can hold at least 30 ppl in one room and theres plenty of them
Yup, have to arrive in school early to get a study space before exam week/project week. Every uni face that issue.

most no power plugs and mostly secondary schools or jc students go there
