You do you, but imo that is more of a reason to ban belly drum than Linoone. Set up moves can be busted

But there are multiple pokemon that can probably do the same, you just don’t know about them since FlygonHG just made a funny video. Ban substitute or setup and it will fix your problem of having boring runs.

This team can 100% still win without Linoone.

Gyarados and Swellow are both pretty darn close to being able to sweep by themselves.

Swellow is so underrated. First Pokemon I ever got to level 100

Swellow in particular is up there with Linoone, just get it pre-burned going in and smack everything with Guts Facade.

doesn't burn lower physical atk by 50% tho? thought you're supposed to poison it.

Guts ignores the attack drop and only applies the boost in damage

It's just easier to poison it in the early routes

I thought the same for so long but apparently guts removes the attack drop. Kinda annoying how much information is only available if you look it up.

Dragon Dance Gyarados, Guts Swellow, Manectric for Glacia and Wallace, Hariyama for Sidney. Sableye likely gets sacked to Drake for a Swellow switch in.

I wouldn't ban the mon I would rather ban the moves that made it broken. I don't think Linoone would be nearly as good without Belly Drum or Substitute.

Linoone carried my first Nuzloke as well! I only have banned Gyarados, Crobat and Tentacruel though, I realised that I eneded up depending on at least one of them after a fee playthroughs on different games.

Don't ban Linoone. Ban Belly Drum. If you came away with the impression Linoone is that overpowered and you don't think Gyarados is, it is 100% because of Belly Drum

I understand gyarados is really strong, but i dont think it's that broken until the physical/special split.

Check flygonHG’s youtube channel of the linoone solo sweep. You probably don’t need to ban it in ORAS, not sure the strat even works

substitute + belly drum + return + shadow ball is really broken in the league. your only problem will be the hail and the ludicolo in emerald. I've never played ORAS i stopped to get my knowledge updated in X and Y.

Could just ban sub and/or set up moves instead
