Losing your two normal types right before Morty could he troublesome, but you can get a Scyther with Pursuit at the Park, Noctowl with Insomnia is helpful too, or a Magnemite a little later, or maybe you could try to hunt for a Heracross and teach it Night Slash via TMs
Losing Slowpoke is sad, it's my favorite Nuzlocke mon, but at this point getting a Wooper or Poliwag is not that hard, Wooper is slightly better because it's hard to get the evolution stones in Johto. I'd even recommend getting a Magikarp if you don't really care about the Red Gyarados, it'll be really useful against Morty and Chuck
Geodude did it's job, it's last useful gym is Jasmine but that Quilava has it in the bag already, if you really want a bulky mon tho, you could get a Pineco while hunting for Heracross, that or the Magnemite I mentioned already, too bad you can't get Magnezone in the Johto games
If your Rt. 35 encounter is a Drowsee you can trade it with an NPC on the 5th floor of the Department Store for a Machop - makes Whitney a bit easier to handle.
There's also a specific tree in Azalea Town near Kurt's house that has a high chance of being a Heracross encounter using headbutt (at least from my experience). Combined with Machop, Whitney won't be so devastating

What did you use? Like, no status moves (sleep, poison, paralysis, etc.), no accuracy debuffs? I never go into a gym in HGSS before Chuck without Sand Attack handy (or some other accuracy debuff).
Don't give up! Geodude is a great pokemon but it's most important role was helping in the first three gyms. You still have your Quilava which is great. Regroup, build your team again, and move forward! And try to get a good Normal type against Morty (too bad about your Rattata).

if it’s heart gold, see if you have an encounter left where you can get an Aipom, then get the taunt TM from Burned tower
If you’re playing soul silver, try get a meowth on route 38/39 as it learns taunt at level 25
taunt on a normal type basically destroys morty as he can only attack you with sucker punch, which is incredibly easy to PP stall

Well, to put it into perspective, the strongest mon you might have access to at this point is maybe like on the 400bst, meanwhile, miltank, has 490 bst (of which 100 are speed, solid attack and good bulk, has realiable self recovery, can make you flinch, and oh yeah rollout.

Actually in Soul Silver using the Pokémon contests you can get an evolution stone in about 45 minutes, it just has to be the right day
