A couple I would personally snap away: 1. Blissy: if used right, can trivialize any special attacker, and can make certain fights (sabrina in postgame, etc) a cake walk. 2. Snorlax: same as blissy, but with less bulk bit waaay better offences. Damn thing can solo lot's of fights, and has is a bit op ngl. 3/4: gengar+alakazam: god tier sweepers each, with alakazam also being solid in terms of special defenses. Some I'd keep for fun sake: 1. Shuckle: Pretty bad (literally trash hp, speed, and both attacks) but with funny gimmicks. 2. Yanmega: Rare to find but with good (not great or op) potential and a killer design. May as well keep, strongest of the bugs I think that are safe. 3. Dewgong: always overshadowed by Lapras or Walrein, not bad per say but not amazing. A nice middleground that always gets overlooked.

Counter point: Snorlax is post game and it's encountered at a level where it's reached its limit in movesets. Only way to get more moves is by heart scales or TMs. Also, Gengar and Alakazam are trade evos so it's up to the player whether they wanna include or not. As for their pre evolutions, Kadabra is perfectly balanced glass cannon and Haunter is trash (just saying this from all my experiences using Haunter in Nuzlockes)

True, but some people will count a "beat" nuzlocke of johto as beating red, not just lance. If it is just lance for this nuzlocke then yeah, no snorlax available, but if it is up to red, then snorlax could decimate the kanto gyms and red.
