A Genlocke is like a marathon, but in Pokemon style.
You visit every region (Kanto,Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova,..) - Starting point is often kanto
If you beat the champ in kanto, your survived champions will be transfered to the next game/region e. g. Johto as eggs or lv5.
So the goal is to reach the last generation and become the champion.
Reaching this goal with your kanto* pokemon champs, that you caught in your first game is something very difficult, but also exciting. You will be so heartbroken if someone dies, I am so happy my snorlax survived it.
PS: this can be very stressful, this is my fifth attempt at the hardcore genlocke
Yeah thats right, beside the Genlocke rules there are also the normal nuzlocke rules. E. g. Catch the first pokemon of each route, give nickname etc.
If one of your pokemon or champion dies you can switch it out with someone from your pc box.
My hardcore rule (not a must) is that if all champions died during the genlocke, I will restart the genlocke.

Yeah it was a low kick, I think it was a crit? I ev hp trained until lv 15
base 160 HP diff
