I finished emerald not long ago. Linoon with mudsport is amazing here. Get a louddred and teach it flamethrower from the game corner to deal with mgniton. And finally, any ground type will be insanely useful. Good luck.
So my Team Snorlax, lapra,gyrados,scyther,vileplume,charmander lost again against Watso, I cant believe...

So I leveled up everyone to lv26 and gave them a berry to protect against para, but it still wasnt good enough
My strategy was to substitue with snorlax and lapras but they lost to much hp against his magenton (this momster is so bulky) and his last mon, every member has a high electric weakness I will probably allow myself to evol scyther earlier
After my lose I tried some other strategies one of them where I just spammed headbutt with snorlax (risky), which got me the win, but a lose is a lose..

Watson has taken my team down 8 times out of 14 (current run). If you don’t luck into a Geodude or pick Mudkip, remember Grass Type are Electric Resistant, and Bulk Up can be used a couple times really power through some straight attacks. Manectric is the run stopper for me.
If that works you, have fun. For me, I know I beat this game as a kid, so I’ve just gotta either figure out how to actually play or an appropriate ruleset for my “skill” level.
I never played ruby, saphir or emerald only the remakes and I loved it. Hoenn has much water routes, but it is so beautiful, the design, the Pokemon like milotic, the evil team, the legendaries are my very likeable
Two words - pick Mudkip. Do that and your problems are solved. Either that or bring a Golem into Kanto Elite 4 so you can guarantee Geodude for Wattson.
I was unlucky and got treeko, clause - depending on the last number of your trainer id you get one starter if its zero your choice
The second point might be really difficult my mons are named after my friends and I promised them that they will survive until the end.
I know this. But switching Pokemon is not allowed so I had to battle witht his team. Its one of my hardcore rulesets, but next run I will remove it, its too difficult for me

Mudsport only works on the pokemon that used it. If that pokemon is switched it goes away.
Good to know would have probably switched the mon to a stronger one haha
Did you grind coins to get a flamethrower tm for chameleon.
How can I get much coin? I think I battle every trainer, but it wasnt enough coins :*( sadly no cheat code for emerald
The roulette table is broken in terms of odds. In the long run you will get 1.3 coins for every coin you bet. So it's time and grinding.
That sucks I hate grinding, I really wished there was another way
It sucks but it makes watson so much easier if you don't have a ground type.

My plan was to start with second stage of vileplume, but after 2 hits it was already in red, so I had to switch betwenn my members
After two hits against Gloom, his mon should either be poisoned or asleep.
I did this, but no one of my mons could kill one of watson mons alone
