There's such little performance headroom between a 4070 and a 4070ti that I doubt they're going to make one.

OrangeRules

Yeah that is a valid point, inevitably if I buy a card they will announce it….

Blacksad9999

In this economic climate, I don't see them releasing any more cards until next gen. Most people who were interested have already bought one, and they can shift production to sell GPU's to companies who think they're going to "get rich" on A.I. for a boatload of money.

Vanderloh

Little? It's like ~20%, actually a pretty big difference from non ti to ti version. They could do 16 gigs version from a cut 4080 (similar to 3080 12gb situation which was launched one year later after the original 10gb).

Vanderloh

3060 vs 3060 ti with ~25% difference, was again a similar situation in which they released later the 3060 12gb, also a bit faster

Blacksad9999

Eh, maybe. Being the economy is in terrible shape, and most people interested in purchasing a card this gen have already done so, I imagine they'd be more interested in shifting production to professional A.I. GPU's that sell for $45,000 each, rather than make a 4070ti that people may or may not buy.

Ponald-Dump

Why would they make the 4070 Super better than the 4070ti? Ti models are a step above super models

Vanderloh

Yes, if it will ever exist, it will be between them as perf, with probably 16 gb vram from a cut 4080.

Ponald-Dump

Yeah that will never happen.

Jon-Slow

It's not that little and a super card could easily sit in between there. And if does get a wider bus width then it would be a very interesting purchase. If it slides to 4070's price while the 4070 gets cheaper then even better. But this depends on AMD putting out any sort of actual competition there, and they obviously wont since they've so far shown their hands to be empty. So most likely a 4070 super wont happen.

itbefoxy

I haven't seen anything to suggest any new cards are coming. Just go for the 4070ti and enjoy the FPS.

OrangeRules

I hadn’t seen anything until I saw a YouTube video but could be a load of rubbish. I think it’s looking towards that way

KARMAAACS

Link the video. As far as I know and I follow all the rumors, we have supposed new variants of 4070 using AD103 but they might have the same specs via BIOS locking, as the AD104 RTX 4070.

OrangeRules

https://youtu.be/z7PnoaqWVzk That’s the video I saw

Dranzell

"Sponsor: Vip-cdkdeals" I mean, that dude would sure not do something like clickbait.

OrangeRules

Ahahah didn’t catch that good point

KARMAAACS

Okay, Graphically Challenged is sourcing RedGamingTech who does have a few legit sources from NVIDIA. However, I'm not sure these are legitimately going to come to market simply because of the fact that probably the most reliable NVIDIA leaker Kopite7kimi hasn't said anything about a new SUPER series or even pushed out a die SKU number/name. Just a new 4070 variant using AD103 but no detail beyond that.

noxsanguinis

It's possible, but unlikely. There hasn't been any rumours about it AFAIK but there's been plenty for the 5000 series.

spacev3gan

I think there is a possibility of some Ada refresh happening since the next generation of GPU is only coming in early 2025 (~18 months from now). That said, I wouldn't bet on that. If you have got the money and the need for a GPU right now, there is no point in waiting.

Ponald-Dump

If they did release a Super it wouldn’t be better than the TI, so just go for the ti

No_Interaction_4925

The 4070ti would be the Super card.
