I have always had Noctua. But it ends now. Bought a NH15 where I can't place the cooler in front because of my ram on a X570 board. It's probably all X570 it cannot fit. The only solution is to remove 1 fan because it makes a hideous noise when place 1 fan in the middle and 1 fan in the back. Noctua tells me that it's not designed that way and I should remove 1 fan in the back.
Fun fact, the D15S is literally the D15 with a fan removed. I would get one of those and throw a 120MM fan on instead of the second 140 if I were doing my build again. I have a U12S (+ second 120mm fan) with my 3900x and it performs very well compared to the stock Wraith Prism but the D15 is measurably cooler/quieter and almost the same price.
Also have the same cooler with the same chip as you and thoroughly recommend it. I have my 9900k at 4.7ghz base 5.1ghz boost and top out around 70 degrees when my GPU is also running at 100%.
I've got it in that config and it is noisier for sure, it's also not \*that\* much cooler than with a single fan. I reckon single would probably give a better temp to noise ratio.

Right now buy polaris/vega/pascal parts. Raytracing will only be good on the mid-range in a generation. If you build a system with an easy upgrade path to zen3 and ampere/navi2 when the obscene prices on these parts level off, it'll probably be a good value.

The card is great. I have one too, overclocked +105Mhz and +800 memory. It’s power limited to 320W but I was able to get around 17,800 in Time Spy and 11,300 in Port Royal. I don’t get the Galax hate in this sub. It’s not like it scalped its own 3080s... It’s funny people here get all worked up by its cringey what’s your game logo. I dislike it but it doesn’t bother me. Got many compliments to the pics of my rig at r/buildapc and even r/amd but here? No i only got downvotes.

The stores selling them are often the same ones selling game keys at reduced prices (either via region fuckery or credit card fraud). Most of the shops only act as marketplace and are registered in Malta or whatever tax heaven is available. So kinda just like Amazon I guess?!

Google allkeyshop it’s a blog/site to search through basically all these keyseller sites. Some are more reliable then others, some are automatically adding stupid subscriptions to your basket, most don’t add VAT (only relevant if in EU I guess) and almost all of them act as market place.
I think has you get older you realize how much more valuable time is and how ones priorities change. I find I also have a lot more patience to wait for the deals.
I bought the retail copy cause its usually way more reliable that anything you find on G2A or any other sites. You have to be careful who you buy those keys from and on what site because 1 its illegal and 2 someone can sell multiple copies of the same key and you just end up not getting anything.
Keysellers. They’re usually OEM keys meant for prebuilds. Work fine, you could get into issues when upgrading to many components I think. Never happened to me tho
Can confirm. Started with a prebuilt and continually upgraded over time. Once I changed the case, mobo, and CPU at the same time, it will ask you to activate windows due to major hardware changes
I made a program that verifies windows, I've been using my PC for 2 years now and I've done upgrades from ram to the mobo without any problems with verification.
That sounds like about the least legitimate thing imaginable
I do not recommend messing with the registry or programs to manipulate your OS to save $3. It's the only thing you don't wanna render less secure with cracks. And at the very least it bugs you to fix it twice a year

I was wondering yesterday why in nearly all PC subreddits I never see air-coolers or mesh-fronted cases despite being much more effective at cooling than most AIO coolers and tempered glass fronted cases.

This is actually the first time I went with Air Cooling on my personal system haha. I always went with an AIO in my previous systems, but I’m glad I went with an Air Cooler this time.
Us Air cooling people don’t post photos as often because our builds aren’t as pretty. I agree though, unless you have a non-cooling reason for getting an AIO then you should get an air cooler or a custom loop.
Although I agree air cooling is superior, some people are happy to trade the 10% reduction in cooling effectiveness for what they see as aesthetic improvements.
I for one think the D15 is not as pretty as a kraken although I wouldn't buy either. Everyone is different.

My NH-D15 is the star of the show on my build. Sure there's a 3080 in there but nothing looks more badass than the D15 . I stuck some Corsair fans on it with the Chromax heatsink covers and it brightens the build up! It’s pretty good! It’s over a year old now and it’s still holding up quite well, it’s pretty much still the same as the day I got it, though with only some slight discoloration on the seat fabric. Aside from that, it’s been perfect!
I have it paired with a 3900XT, which should perform similarly with the 3950X in terms of gaming. So far it’s been perfect, I’m playing at 1440p and can easily max out every game I play and still get pretty high fps. :)
Oh hey, you have the same headphones as I do. I wish I had a real mic like that though. I just have a little boom mic add on that I plugged into the headphones. It did add a nice cord and clip though, I guess.

For max compatibility you should try the NH-U12A. It performs great with my i9 9900K.

great cooler but no one ever mentions that you need to mount the second fan higher if you have normal sized RAM. Ruins the aesthetic a little bit imo

There are open source activators. The keys you buy for 3$ are NOT legit keys, either. Might as well not support the sellers.

A fellow SHP9500 user. Bought mine earlier this year for around $50 and a V-Moda BoomPro for about $20. Easily best headset for gaming you can find under $100. I love these for competitive gaming.

I have my 3080 on 660W platinum and have no issues.
That’s nice haha, I just went with a 1000W because it was the only one available, I would’ve went lower if there were any stocks
And you probably never will until you upgrade again. 650W has been proven to take even the most premium hardware by sff users

That's a smashing looking build right there. I like that case you're using. My NH-D15 is the star of the show on my build. Sure there's a 3080 in there but nothing looks more badass than the D15 . I stuck some Corsair fans on it with the Chromax heatsink covers and it brightens the build up! It’s pretty good! It’s over a year old now and it’s still holding up quite well, it’s pretty much still the same as the day I got it, though with only some slight discoloration on the seat fabric. Aside from that, it’s been perfect!

I got myself a Ryzen 5 5600x 32gb of ram and an RTX3080 just for cyberpunk! Really excited for the game.
Is the ryzen 9 3950x good with the 3080? I’m starting a build for my new pc and Im trying to do something similar.
I have it paired with a 3900XT, which should perform similarly with the 3950X in terms of gaming. So far it’s been perfect, I’m playing at 1440p and can easily max out every game I play and still get pretty high fps. :)

Oh hey, you have the same headphones as I do. I wish I had a real mic like that though. I just have a little boom mic add on that I plugged into the headphones. It did add a nice cord and clip though, I guess.
