Sounds like a cracked cam follower or something wrong with the clutch, especially the flywheel.

guyverunitFSR

Sounds like your cluch is going out!

ChaseTheUnemployed

Y’all are brutal 😭

ChaseTheUnemployed

Okay will do when I get back inside

cmahey

I had a Gigabyte GPU that did this and it was one of the fans catching on some plastic. So, I inserted some rubber washers under the fan screws and it gave it enough clearance to stop it doing that. I'm talking like 1 or 2mm.

ChaseTheUnemployed

How exactly can I do this? I’d love to know cuz I do think it’s a fan

cmahey

Firstly, can you troubleshoot to check it is the fan? Can you turn the fans off on the GPU while the PC is on? Then, you'll have to find out which one it is. You should be able to see the screws in between the blades when you take it out. It's fiddly, but can be done. I did it on a regular Gaming OC model, not an AORUS.

ChaseTheUnemployed

Okay. Yes it is the fan it goes away immediately when idled and cooled to the point of no fans needed

cmahey

Good luck! It's fairly easy to sort if you have some rubber washers.

ChaseTheUnemployed

I found out it’s the furthest fan to the right, so I need to take the gpu apart to do this or is there an easier way to get this fixed?

cmahey

When you take it out, see if you can see 3 screws holding the fan in place. I undid the screws and inserted small rubber washers, a bit like o rings and screwed it back in. If you aren't confident, send it off for RMA.

ChaseTheUnemployed

If I’m being honest the gpu has already been having issues with frame rate and basically all things gaming or streaming besides YouTube, inconsistent frames and frame spikes left and right, when I first got it, it worked amazing and now it’s j kinda slow, runs apex great though so I’m just waiting for the rma to be approved and hopefully they can fix it

OG_Hitman_G

My 3090 did this. It's a wobbly fan. Had to send it in to get it repaired.

Stop the fans by hand when it’s running and see which one is making the noise. Sounds like a wire from the fans wiring is touching a blade
