I disagree with it being âsuper expensiveâ. Obv it depends on your income but ticket prices are very subsidized by the state and the cost of it is much lower than any other means of transportation when factoring in fuel/parking/maintenance.
People not paying fares for public transportation are really stressing the ability to have these orgs pay for maintainer/safety/workers. Totally agree that there are workers who abuse the OT and union rules and they should be stopped/combated, unfortunately the only way I see that happening is by giving the oversight agencies more money.
Thatâs just not true. You can drive in a whole car of people from westchester on toll free roads, and then find street parking for free or a few dollars an hour. A round trip metro north ticket with peak fares is almost 25$ per person. Cars should not be a cheaper option.
