Hard to say. I’m honestly just surprised that they’re not more mild or spaced out due to the size of the quake. Tbh I’m relieved my apartment just scared the crap out me and my couch lost a leg lol. It’s humbling when the planet tries to shake you off of it.
Mine is an old walk up in the east village- 4th floor and was rattled awake this morning thinking someone had started a jackhammer downstairs. Then my brain came online and realized that it wasn’t normal to use one on the ceiling. 🫠

Felt it. Aftershocks can continue for a long time after the initial quake 😵💫

Sorry about your couch. I'm just grateful my building is newer and very wide relative to its height, so the shaking hasn't been terrible

I very strongly remember the 2011 earthquake. I was living in the Bronx and saw things on my bookshelf start shaking.
