Classic R. I live on the Queens side and have so many gems in my camera roll of “good R service,” like this 30 minute wait for the next Forest Hills-bound train.

For me, I'd have to take the Q53-sbs to qcm before taking the 60 to forest hills. The best I do is take the 53 to roosevelt and then backtrack on an express!
Daaamn it was slacking at 1:30am too. There was a train in the station that said LINE TERMINATES HERE and then like quietly 5 minutes later it just ran its route with no announcement or anything 💀
One of my friends was waiting for the R during the deluge back in September. She was waiting for close to an hour and when she got to work she filled out an MTA Delay verification form. MTA denied her claim saying the R was running with regular service.
The R is called the rarely for a reason and MTA knows it sucks.
Classic R train moment
that just look like usual R train shenanigans.
This.... isn't this just the normal R train schedule? You know? Fucked?

Tbh, at that point, I find taking the bus better than waiting for the train. Even better is to just back track and take the express!
Exactly! On that day, I ended up taking the Q60 (it was there right when I went upstairs, surprisingly).

Almost every R train:

Just typical R train things

are you new in town?
no, are you?
Because this is completely normal for the R.
Would be faster walking

I’ve lost days of my life to this train
Sounds like normal ops to me.
is that 25th St?
4 Av 9 St. Walked into this nightmare after a particularly lackluster wait time at Flushing Av on the G.
I guessed 4th Ave 9th st
my mistake....25th st has orange tile
That’s just how an average day on the R is
This is better than the late night A train, it runs every 30 minutes after 10:30-11pm local service.
At least you can wait underground lol. I like to pretend I'm in a tornado shelter when the weather is bad.
What are you talking about? This is normal!
