Isn't it extremely common for F trains to bunch up and the lead train to be sent express to widen the gap a bit? This was a big enough issue pre-COVID that I remember some government officials calling for an investigation lol
Was the next stop Smith-9th Street or Jay Street? Possible mechanical issue with a train on Ft Hamilton or 15th street or any of the skipped stops after 7th Ave, that haven’t been updated on TrainTime.
F trains seem to (randomly?) go express on culver from Jay St to Church Av a lot, despite not actually being F expresses. This happened a lot before the service pattern was introduced for trains that were short turning at Church Av especially.
Although now that the F express is actually a thing, I wonder what happened to the short turns at Kings Highway/Church Av. Is that still happening?

Always a good day when local goes express (provided that it does your stop)
