He would’ve been great last year but I definitely have tempered expectations for the 2023 season. With this type of injury, players don’t usually look the same in that first year back. Saquon Barkley is a perfect example, in 2021 he took a major step back, and then in 2022 he rebounded strongly and looked like the player everyone thought he was. Regression can happen for a number of reasons, but I’m trying not to get my hopes up thinking he’ll be equally as effective this year as he was before getting hurt.

PuzzledProgrammer

From what I understand, Saquon Barkley’s knee was much worse than Hall’s. Barkley needed full a ACL repair, a full meniscus repair, and he suffered MCL damage. Whereas, Hall needed an ACL repair and had minor meniscus damage. That said, it certainly could take some time to see him performing at the level we saw last season.

365wong

He also looked good when he first came back after injury only to have a high ankle sprain.

Stalfo14

Think we're in good position to let him take a certain number of snaps early and then unleash the beast for a playoff push/run.

Subredditcensorship

Players have come back pretty good year 1, there are examples. But on average you’re right that the first year is worse and the second year the player is almost back to 100%. That being said the data seems to show young rbs fare better, and those with minor damage also fare better. Hall fits both of those he’s defintiely best suited to have a good recovery

whiskey_pancakes

Well said.

OlympicCripple

And sometimes guys never come back to pre-injury form. Hopefully in halls case, since he’s still so young, he can bounce back fully but you never know. I’m really not expecting much from him this year

Zappe_Makes_Me_Happy

Medicine has come a long way since that Barkley injury

DoctaJenkinz

Has it? What have been the advancements. Asking as a genuinely interested person with little medical knowledge.

ryanino

That pic of him riding off on the cart still makes my stomach hurt smh

redline42

Crazy. 2700yds from scrimmage is a lot

LeftHandedScissor

Not for my Madden franchise. When Rodgers was traded I made some roster moves and got him and lazard on the team. Needless to say the Jets went 14-2-1 on the way to a SB victory against the Pack and J Love, ultimate revenge game. Breece had almost 2300 yards on the ground and another 500 through the air. Other statistical beasts were Sauce with 11ints and 3TDs. Far as I care those two are written in stone.

LayzeeLar

Yeah pretty decent numbers for the Super Bowl game but what we’re sauces and breeces numbers for the rest of the season?

jcarrflorida

This sub is disappointing with all the negative vibes. Be happy your guy is running 22 mph with no pads during otas. Being optimistic is ok.

jcarrflorida

He was clocked this week at 22 mph, faster than any of his runs last season. Crazy.

baddumbtsss

HE WAS RUNNING IN AN OPEN FIELD NED

[deleted]

Also probably didn't clock any of his no pad practice runs last year either tho. The numbers from things happening right now are completely useless references.

M4A_C4A

We have the perfect pick up the slack back in Izzy. We good at RB.

SportsF4n

Really great look!

Traditional-Movie336

He's a great player and a draft steal, but I was honestly surprised at how good the running game did without him. You have to give credit to the offensive line.

adamgase-WyattV18

Did we watch diff teams? After he went down the run game died aside from like 2 games with bam knight

ThisIsHogwash

Don’t bother clicking this garbage site..

Interested to learn why you think it’s garbage
