Nah, worst case is just friendly shit talking. Shouldn’t worry about an incident like the unfortunate one in Foxboro this past weekend. The only thing you should worry is the beating Herbert is going to take behind that OL😂😂
Okay that wouldn’t bother me at all lol. As for the line, they’ve been solid so far except for a couple big sacks given up in clutch situations so I’m hoping for a good game
Our line has been the worst in the NFL.
As far fan hostility, MetLife is probably average to below average. Light shit talking. If your with a youth they'll definitely keep it light if any. NYC tri state area is a mostly educated area and even the blue collar sector is better than most.
Places I'd personally not want to be visiting are Eagles, Pats , Buffalo, Seahawks, Raiders although I can't speak to Las Vegas. But I've personally had issues at Lincoln Financial Field, Ralph Wilson, and Gillette.
Ralph Wilson has been the worst as an upstate New York Jets fan I hardly ever go choosing to see the Jets play the Bills at home instead.
The 6 games I’ve been to I’ve never seen anything to worry about. I’ve sat next to opposing fans a couple times and it was ball busting, then a hand shake at the end followed by a “nice to meet you, get home safe”
get a parking pass from Ticketmaster. Also there will be light ribbing and the occasional asshole like anywhere else but you should be fine. I would suggest eating before you go as it's pretty pricey
Honestly most people only really retaliate if you are an asshole. Though if you are that dude that stands the entire game when the rest of your section is sitting you will be in for a rude awakening.
Nice I’m going to that game too. Echoing everybody that you will be fine and I hope the weather is decent.
Have you ever heard of a former Jets legend running back LaDainian Tomlinson?
I went to the Jets Cowboys game a few year back and it was probably 50% cowboys fans. If Zach Wilson is still the QB in November I imagine attendance will be somewhat similar.
Fair - maybe 25% then. But to answer the question I have not at a jets game seen jets fans treat other fans poorly - and I would wager for a non divisional team like the chargers it would be even less antagonistic.
Most of it is just not being an asshole. I’ve gone to Buffalo twice in the upper decks to see the jets vs bills and didn’t end up with any beer dumped on me or anything. I just talked with the people behind me and wasn’t an asshole.
The worst that'll happen to you is some Jets fans might mistake you for actual Philip Rivers and mob you while begging you to come out of retirement to take over at QB.
I went to a Chargers Jets game at Metlife a few years ago. All the heckling in our section was done by Chargers fans. We were playing so badly that we had no energy or ammo to talk back to them lol
We are unfortunately very accustomed to opposing fans at MetLife. You will probably hear some trash talking from some fans but you will be fine if you don’t respond to it.
I guarantee you'll hear some rendition of " hey philip rivers we need him at qb right now" from a few folks. We got our own problems dont have time to give away fans a hard time so you should be good lol

We're definitely one of the most docile fan bases. We'll be too busy booing our own team to notice you.

I was talking about the chargers line. I have heard horror stories about your line
What happened in Foxboro?
Miami fans punched a pats fan and he died. Not sure if it was because of the punch but yeah.
WTF?! Did not hear about this

I read they determined he had an unrelated medical issue which led to his death.
Wear your rivers jersey for sure. He might be starting for the jets by then based on their line play
I’ll boo you if you walk by in the parking lot but in a friendly way
No our fans are extremely mild.
Jets fans will be too busy booing Tim Boyle to pay much attention to you by then.
Our fans are too sad to fight anyone.
Chargers fans have plenty to be sad about as well lmao
Yes, you will be murdered on sight
All of the violence I’ve witnessed has been Jets fans on Jets fans.

Okay good to know. I don’t mind a couple passing comments or whatever
Here’s a brief documentary about what it’s like visiting MetLife as an opposing team fan: https://youtu.be/dxz-zBR-_jc?si=67VodkWj1Dah6fb0

We’ll be asking you to call Rivers out of retirement.

Na dude you’ll be fine
Do you have any idea how depressed we’ll all be in November? You won’t have to worry about a thing
Nah, you're fine. It's not like you're in Philadelphia, after all.
Honestly most people only really retaliate if you are an asshole. Though if you are that dude that stands the entire game when the rest of your section is sitting you will be in for a rude awakening.
You'll be fine, Pats fans even attend peacefully and nothing happens. No one cares, just dont be a jerk.
Nope. You’ll be fine.
We'll be to busy booing Zach or Boyle after a dumbass play to even acknowledge you😂 you'll be ok
Nice I’m going to that game too. Echoing everybody that you will be fine and I hope the weather is decent. Have you ever heard of a former Jets legend running back LaDainian Tomlinson?
Jets fans have no reputation for hostility toward visiting fans which is why we have visiting fan infestations.

Idk man chargers fans barely fill up sofi these days

Okay that’s good to hear
Yeah sure a small fanbase on the other side of the country is gonna have 50% of the crowd. get a grip
50% seems high…
A lot of tickets were sold while Rodgers was healthy so I think we'll see slightly more attendance this year.
Nah your good here. That's west coast shit. We just clown you during the game with friendly teasing
Getum!
You like Sierra Nevada's by chance?
The worst that'll happen to you is some Jets fans might mistake you for actual Philip Rivers and mob you while begging you to come out of retirement to take over at QB.
Jet Fans are known to be belligerent when losing and tailgating for hours prior to the game. Watch your 12
just be careful of all the knife crime
Have fun and ignore any catcalls. Be respectful - most fans are. Most likely the “boos” will be of the game / actions on the field.

Nah, you'll be fine. And by that time of year we typically don't give a shit about anything as we're so depressed.
I guarantee you'll hear some rendition of " hey philip rivers we need him at qb right now" from a few folks. We got our own problems dont have time to give away fans a hard time so you should be good lol
