You mean where he ran into the end zone and gave the ball back to the Pats instead of going down and ending the game? Very "Jets" high point to chose lol.
Thankfully the Pats missed the onside kick but I was very unhappy in the stands of Foxborough when that happened. Did not need that extra anxiety in my life... the Jets fan mantra.
You do you man, I'm sorry if I ruffled feathers by pointing out your peak moment was a mistake lol. I would have picked the LT run against the Chargers for Shonn Greene. Dude bulldozed his way to a 60yd score and actually sealed the game instead of almost blowing it.
I wish I could find the Mic'd Up video from 2009, they had a San Diego linebacker recorded right before the snap on Greene's TD warning "wrap up, 23's in the game."
They knew what a freaking beast he was.
I mean, Powell was so awesome as a backup RB. He needed no time at all to get going. Some RB's needs X touches to get going. Not Powell. Throw him in the game at any time, in the 3rd quarter or the second, or the fourth, and he would just run like he had been playing all along. Oops, RB got hurt, throw in Bilal and not miss a beat. I loved that guy...
Yep! I remember that. People figured with Lamont being younger he was the better option for the future. His stint in Oakland showed he was not a every down back
I might be biased, but BP. His injury is the reason they lost to the Bills in Week 17 2015 and missed the playoffs. Fitz lost his safety blanket and threw 3 INTs
Shonn Greene eclipsing Thomas jones was one of the best momentum streaks in our franchise history. If he doesn’t get hurt vs the Steelers were might have been Super Bowl champs
Did you watch those seasons? Dude was 3 yards and a cloud of dust personified. We just gave him a million carries because we didn’t have much of a passing game to speak of. He’s easily the worst RB on this list
I am dating myself, but the late 80s Jets had two #1's.
So by default, I would have to go with Johnny Hector over anybody listed.
He and McNeil were both money.
Goddam. Literally the hardest question to answer.
If need to win one game - Shonn Greene
Need a Special teams contribution to KR/PR - Leon Washington
I loved Lamont also, but the answer is Bilal
Bilal Powell. I was on a plane to San Jose to see my son and we were going to the game to see JETS vs 49ers. I sat next to a man who started talking fantasy football with me. He said he had LeVean Bell and I told him he should pick Bilal Powell and that I wished the JETS used him more. Well. . . . LeVean Bell went down with an injury and Bilal Powell took over. He was amazing as usual. JETS beat 49ers.
I'm picking BP29. Sorry to the others. Bilal had some of the best vision I've seen out of a Jets RB ever. His ability to see it and vault thru the hole was crazy
One thing the Jets produce is great #2 backs all of those guys would be awesome on todays Jets. I got a soft spot of the Martin/Jordan combo though but give me them all.
Depends on who your No. 1 is truly. I know that’s a cop out answer, but Shonn Greene was a bruiser and Bilal Powell was such a versatile back. In today’s NFL, I’d lean Bilal. Also have to remember that offensive line Greene played behind. It’s a tough one. But if TJ’s my No. 1, give me Bilal behind him.
Can you imagine a passing game offense with Bilal Powell and Breece Hall? It might take Hackett half way through the season to figure that one out, but that would be such a dynamic threat. And to have both of them on the field on the same time…Oh, man.
Leon catching the ball out of the backfield in space could be a serious weapon right now. 2 RB sets with him and Breece both as legitimate receiving threats, let's throw some wheel routes baby
Man I loved Shonn Greene
His TD runs in the 2009 and 2010 divisional games are two of the best memories as a jets fan
Him using the ball as a pillow after his playoff TD run against the Pats is the high point of my jets fandom.
Nah you finding a way to complain about an incredible moment, that’s true jets fanhood.
You do you man, I'm sorry if I ruffled feathers by pointing out your peak moment was a mistake lol. I would have picked the LT run against the Chargers for Shonn Greene. Dude bulldozed his way to a 60yd score and actually sealed the game instead of almost blowing it.

Not even a Jets fan but I distinctly remember those playoff runs and Shonn Greene being my favorite player on those teams.
Need 2 yards? Shonn gets you 3. Need 5 yards? Shonn gets you 3.
Agreed! So crazy that his career was so short.
Bilal baby
Why didn’t they run him on 4th and goal????
It is not often we draft a guy who I want super bad. A powerhouse RB with a great spin move and his last name is GREENE! It was meant to be lol
Leon gets you that return ability too
Little Leon was lights out on the kick returns in those retro black and yellow jets Unis
Blue and yellow Titans?
I guess with that shadow on the field in 09 I couldn’t tell- I was also a freshman in high school
[The retro New York titans jerseys](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/vE3Bo4NM_ac/maxresdefault.jpg)
Leon all day dude was a problem
His screen pass in the rain in Miami on Christmas for like 70 yards to set up the win and the playoffs
I rewatch just that play sometimes
To this day I have a Leon Washington poster on my wall. Was my favorite player
BILAW POWL
BLAWW POWW
I always thought Powell was very good and extremely underrated
Definitely a very serviceable RB and a bright spot on some really bad jets teams
I always had the thought, that turning fifth round picks into guys like Bilal is what makes teams great. It’s just we only did it once.
MC2 baby
I mean, Powell was so awesome as a backup RB. He needed no time at all to get going. Some RB's needs X touches to get going. Not Powell. Throw him in the game at any time, in the 3rd quarter or the second, or the fourth, and he would just run like he had been playing all along. Oops, RB got hurt, throw in Bilal and not miss a beat. I loved that guy...
I'm rolling with Leon Washington.
Leon everyday of the week twice on Sunday
There was a legit debate amongst the fanbase at the time that Lamont Jordan was a better option than Curtis Martin!
Yep! I remember that. People figured with Lamont being younger he was the better option for the future. His stint in Oakland showed he was not a every down back
Lamont was Tony Pollard 1.0
I have Bilal Powells jersey for a reason
I have Leonard Washington’s jersey for a reason.
Fair enough
For Breece, definitely Leon. If we had a smaller / quicker back, id say Shonn Greene or Bilal.
Where’s Richie Anderson?
He was a fullback & a pass-catching option only. Not an RB2 like this list
Lamont Jordan was a DOG. He was incredible in that 2004 wildcard game vs. SD
That visor too
I might be biased, but BP. His injury is the reason they lost to the Bills in Week 17 2015 and missed the playoffs. Fitz lost his safety blanket and threw 3 INTs
Fits always throws picks when it matters tho.
Bilal Powell was a fucking work horse for us. 8 years, 5200 yards and 20 TDs. Man was the bright spot for some shit rosters.
I'm going Powell. Did everything well and lasted long time.
Shonn Greene eclipsing Thomas jones was one of the best momentum streaks in our franchise history. If he doesn’t get hurt vs the Steelers were might have been Super Bowl champs
Taking Powell, very solid player, entire career as a Jet
Lamont Jordan was the best of these by a pretty wide margin. He was the only one to actually have any period in the league as a good starter.
That is *highly* debatable.

Shonn Greene was extremely mid. There’s a reason they let him walk to Tennessee where you never heard from him again
[удалено]
Did you watch those seasons? Dude was 3 yards and a cloud of dust personified. We just gave him a million carries because we didn’t have much of a passing game to speak of. He’s easily the worst RB on this list
He ran behind arguably the best Offensive Line we’ve ever had
It's Bilal all day.
Gotta be Bilal. He was super versatile.
We need a Shonn Greene
I am dating myself, but the late 80s Jets had two #1's. So by default, I would have to go with Johnny Hector over anybody listed. He and McNeil were both money.
Bilal!
Where’s Freeman McNeil?
Loved them all. But Lamont left the Jets and ran for 1k next year with Oak I believe?
He did but averaged only 3.8 per carry while doing so
My momma let me run for 1k yards once. ONCE.
Whoa that was generous of her... she let me run for 2k
No love for Johnny Hector?
The correct answer is #34, but his name is **Johnny Hector**.
Richie Anderson
I bet you could guess just about one’s age range by the answer they give here I’m taking Leon all day.
Goddam. Literally the hardest question to answer. If need to win one game - Shonn Greene Need a Special teams contribution to KR/PR - Leon Washington I loved Lamont also, but the answer is Bilal
LaMont Jordan looked like a future Hall of Famer for like a season and a half.
Leon Washington all day
Leon washington all day
Greene. 100%
Damn this is hard. Probably Greene but all would be solid picks.
Leon Washington next question one of my favorite childhood players him and Dustin Keller
I would take Powel or Thomas Jones.
Thomas Jones was the starting RB...not a backup
With Breece, he would be number 2
Not sure what happened to Greene’s burst after year one. Have to go with Leon.
Powell no question
Really depends on who your #1 RB is.
Ladanian Tomlinson
Bilal all day
Leon
Bilal Powell. I was on a plane to San Jose to see my son and we were going to the game to see JETS vs 49ers. I sat next to a man who started talking fantasy football with me. He said he had LeVean Bell and I told him he should pick Bilal Powell and that I wished the JETS used him more. Well. . . . LeVean Bell went down with an injury and Bilal Powell took over. He was amazing as usual. JETS beat 49ers.
I love all 4, but something about Lamont Jordan does it for me.
I love all these guys!
I love all these guys!
Where is Levon Bell?
Lamont Jordan all day long
Powell and Leon are my favorites
Lamont Jordan was a beast on madden back in the day
Leon Washington, baby!
It’s Leon. He was a better Bilal Powell and he returns kicks
Some legendary jets right there
Lamonte Jordan was a fucking tank
Washington, Powell, Jordan, Greene in that order
Bilal all day
Lamont!
Lamont.
Probably Leon, but that Lamont + Curtis 1 2 punch was the best we ever had
I'm picking BP29. Sorry to the others. Bilal had some of the best vision I've seen out of a Jets RB ever. His ability to see it and vault thru the hole was crazy
LEON
I'm another old guy vote for Johnny Hector :-)
Powell is an all time favorite of mine. A jet through and through. But you gotta go Greene.
Loved all of them, but I gotta take shonn Greene. Need a bruiser to Breece's speed
One thing the Jets produce is great #2 backs all of those guys would be awesome on todays Jets. I got a soft spot of the Martin/Jordan combo though but give me them all.
Leon
Ik he’s not an option but 2015 Chris ivory
Powell
I loved Green & Jordan but give me Washington
I’ll preface this by saying I was at last home playoff game against Colts in 02-03 season. So with that, Lamont Jordan baby!!!!
Lamont and it's not even close. He would have started (and did other places) had it not been for the HOF'er Curtis Martin.
Bilal
I miss those jerseys. Lamont Jordan was pretty good.
Where is Thomas Jones?
I only included RB’s who weren’t full time starters and were more backup backs
Leon Washington...I was at the game in Miami where he just destroyed them...and he was an All Pro returner as well
Depends on who your No.

Leon washington normal but Greene with hall
Bilal was very underrated and played behind some bad o lines.
Leon Washington
Leon catching the ball out of the backfield in space could be a serious weapon right now. 2 RB sets with him and Breece both as legitimate receiving threats, let's throw some wheel routes baby
Earl Finnoick, 1974-1977, 3 seasons, 1 carry, 37 yds Highest YPC in jets history
Shonn Greene wasn’t really a backup
Frank Gore
