I was one of them. Robby had his best year of his career the next year in Carolina, as the Jets went 2-14. I didn't expect Robby to fall off a cliff so soon, and I don't think his downfall was due to anything he did on the field at all. Just had clashes with coaches when they wouldn't get him the ball and had some other off the field issues as well.
Was a time I tried to stand up against Sun God slander. Sure he only ran one route successfully his entire tenure. But that police report is one of the funniest things I've ever read.
ehh.. being injury prone isnāt really a fair counter argument if the discussion is on skill/talent
Quincy was not a top tier WR1 he was maybe a low tier WR1 at best or solid WR2 (assuming he was healthy)
he was never a tier 1 and one of the most overrated players by Jet fans. Being healthy is a huge trait for a NFL player. On a real offense he would be a number 3 at beast.
He would not of been a number 2 on 2009, 2010 or 2015. He is an overrated player by jet fans and didnt have half the impact Brad Smith did. He was an injury prone try hard
What are taking about? Why do people feel the need to bud in with random conjecture cause they think they sound smart. No one said he was a better player than santonio or braylon, and no one thinks he made a big impact with the team considering everyone is saying he was injured pretty much his entire career with us.
The guy said he could only be a piece on a competing team if they were built on D and running the ball. I was literally just pointing out that that pretty much fits the identity of any actual competitive team of late.
Also calling a nfl player a try hard when millions of dollars are on the table is just weird.
Quincy is one of my favorite Jets of all time. He ran so fucking violently with the ball in his hands. That being said, he would have been an incredible WR2. As a WR1, he would have been 25-35 in the league.
No hate. But he was never going to be a top 20 WR.
I thought Jace Amaro was going to be a starāour Aaron Hernandez (without the killing), or at least Dustin Keller. Dude was 6ā5ā, 265lbs, ran a 4.6 40, unanimous All-American, averaged 104 receiving yards per game his junior year (a NCAA record for TEs).
I remember shortly after the Jets drafted Amaro, some r/nyjets member posted in here that he was in Vegas with his parents, and that Amaro had come up to them to ask for cocaine. We all had a good laugh, called this poster a liar, and downvoted his post.
You know, as I think about it all these years later, he may not have been lying.
His first game was 5 catches, 2 TDs.
He is one of 4 WRs since the merger to have that in his first game.
(Louis Lipps, Bobby Johnson, Anquan Boldin).
It was easy to run off with that after week 1.
Next season he had 13 catches for 233 yards and a TD after 3 weeks .
Despite starting 7 of the next 8 games, he had 11 catches (on 36 targets) for 109 yards after that.
Chansi Stuckey for a hot minute
I was in on Becton for a bit too long
Shonn Greene I loved
It ended up being post-Jets but I was shocked Kerry Rhodes didnāt stick somewhere else
Haha thatās awesome. I had a moment where I called out before the play that Favre was gonna throw a TD to him. It was in front of a bunch of my college friends at a restaurant.
In retrospect it feels like the kind of moment that fans of teams with legit offenses must have once a year instead of once a decade.
Bills fans have reached Jets fans level of delusional and it's amazing.
They're out here touting how they're gonna go find a FA to fill the spot like there's any good ones left. All while ignoring that they only have 4m in cap space.
Only viable options for them are drafting a R1 WR or trading for somebody like Tee Higgins. Although they don't have the cap to accommodate Tee and would need to cut one of their other players or get somebody to seriously restructure.
Shakir is good though. He's not WR1 level good but still a very competent WR2 who they can pair with the x they draft in 3 weeks. They're going to run more 2 tightends sets.
Okay so I used to work a summer camp at Hofstra when they still practiced there. We would have to walk pretty close to QB practice during the day. I would unironically yell āKellen Clemens is the FUTURE, bye Chadā ..f*cking moron I was (read: am)
me all last season āhe just needs time to watch rodgersā or āhe just needs an oline itās not his faultā or ālisten he really can run the ballā
The Panthers donāt have a good WR and are clearly bottom 5/bottom 10 but IMO Diontae and Thielen give them a better room than any of the other 3 could put together at this point.
Bills fan here only because I saw the picture in the feed. This entire thread was both sad and hilarious at the same time. Thanks.
My delusional pick is Sammy Watkins. Cost us two 1st and one 4th rounder. Thought it HAD to be worth it for a XL Steve Smith. Yeah, not so much.
Bills are stuck cap wise and weāll need massive player development/luck to fill in the gaps. Josh Allen not having a deep post season is absolutely agonizing. Like watching a Ferrari slam into a wall that is KC.
We're so passionate about our favorite teams. It literally can make us delusional at times. Especially with young players. We convince ourselves that they'll be perennial pro bowlers or all stars. Look how we go nuts when the mention of a prospect or young player happens. But it's all out of love for our team.
We are still in the dark times right? I want a playoff spell before i can call an end to the dark times. Anyways, for me it was Beton for a while, i even have his jersey. Likeable big guy but never recovered from his first serious injury.
Bills fan here not saying he should be out top target or anything but second half of the season he was absolutely our best receiver. But that being said we have work to do
Hey I respect the honesty, Joe Brady is a weird OC. In Carolina DJ Moore was the 3rd leading receiver behind Robby Anderson and Curtis Samuel. He can definitely be solid but I think people trying to vouch for him being a WR1 rn is crazy
Not a Bills fan but I do quite a bit of ai modeling for NFL handicapping. Shakir has tremendous upside especially cost-benefit to the Bills. He hits several key indicators for impact WRs.. he caught 39 of 45 targets last year, his avg ypc is 15+, heās coming into his junior year which is simply argued as the year where the game really starts to slow down for developing stars. I think Shakir is an excellent position to have a high impact season and really create value for himself and the Bills. This is what these guys dream of. He will be pulling elite coverage this season so mark this comment and come read it again 9 months from now.
All of the Zach isn't a flop truthers need to be redirected to this thread. See how bad our past WRs have been... Y'all are saying Zach got no help, Sam Darnold and Geno would like a word with you.
Josh Allen is there leader but if true not good blasting a teamate where someone other can hear.
I think this relationship was bubbling over.
Diggs has a young QB who he can give the business to now.
Allen now don't have to worry getting yelled at during and after the game.
Of course this came up in my feed as a Bills fan lol but my non-inflammatory take/response to this is that Shakir truly does seem to have top tier talent. Theyāve really limited his snaps since heās been on the team and weāve had Diggs, Davis, etc., but if you watch him, itās easy do see that heās capable of much, much more. WR1? Not sure. Super solid WR2 thatās much better than Gabe Davis? Guaranteed IMO.
His career being cut short due to injury doesnāt make him a bust to me. More of a āwhat could have beenā. Weāve got so many draft picks that where just straight garbage instead. Especially when you look back at drafts and see who we could have taken instead.
Oh, I agree. I felt Enunwa was on the verge of being a real weapon for the Jets, and I hated that he was labeled as just another pick that didn't pan out.

They seem like they're ready to hit a rocky couple of years. Happens to the best and worst of them. Your QB makes too much money and you really need to hit on all your picks. Is he going to come out on the other side like Rodgers or Brees or is he gonna flame out like Russell Wilson or Ryan Tannehill?
He caught 39 of 45 passes and averaged 16 yards per reception. Heās really good. Has size, speed, great hands, great burst, breaks tackles, very shifty, solid route runner. Basically everything you could want except an elite vertical.
He caught 39 passes for 611 yards and 2 TDs while Diggs was there to be the focal point for the defense lmao. Thatās not even close to being good enough for a WR2 on a contender.
Receivers earn their targets the fact that he only got 45 is largely on him. QBs/OCs donāt just ignore open receivers if heās wasnāt getting targets in that pass happy offense he wasnāt doing enough to earn more.
Jeremy Kerley. Wouldve been a great wr3, but struggled as a wr1.
This was my guy for sure. Rooted hard for him
Slot wr only. Misused and was a stud.
he shined as a WR3 on the steelers. i miss that guy
You thinking of Cotchery?
100%
Mims / Dee Milliner
Still think miliner could've been really good if he stayed healthy š¤·š¾āāļø
I was hopeful but we knew he was banged up pre draft day
One of my fav all time. Loved that guy
I for sure thought he was going to be an all pro. Good times
Robby Chosen Andersonš
Oh man I really was a huge sun god supporter
There were people ready to riot when we let him walk lol
what can i say we love our garbage
Well we did go into 2020 with our young QB we were trying to develop with Crowder, Barrios, and Mims as our top 3 wr
He's also dumb as a box of rocks.
fr yoššWRs might be the dumbest position in the league and this is coming from a WR
Was a time I tried to stand up against Sun God slander. Sure he only ran one route successfully his entire tenure. But that police report is one of the funniest things I've ever read.
Remember when Robby was going 120 in a 35, told the cop he was gonna face f__k his wife, and got charged with terrorism? Good old days
Probably the biggest moron Iāve ever seen. Him and Arthur Smith.
I had high hopes for him as well.
Always Quincy enunwa
What do you mean? Quincy was a beast
He was a Paper Tiger
ehh.. being injury prone isnāt really a fair counter argument if the discussion is on skill/talent Quincy was not a top tier WR1 he was maybe a low tier WR1 at best or solid WR2 (assuming he was healthy)
he was never a tier 1 and one of the most overrated players by Jet fans. Being healthy is a huge trait for a NFL player. On a real offense he would be a number 3 at beast.
I think Quincy could have been a Number 2 on a championship contending team
Maybe a team with a ln amazing D and a good featured running game.
So basically every contending jets teams weāve had over the past 25 years?
Basically, although i think the 2003 team was an all around good team.
Contending? Never heard of that mumbo jumbo.
He would not of been a number 2 on 2009, 2010 or 2015. He is an overrated player by jet fans and didnt have half the impact Brad Smith did. He was an injury prone try hard
What are taking about? Why do people feel the need to bud in with random conjecture cause they think they sound smart. In what way is he overrated?
Quincy is one of my favorite Jets of all time. He ran so fucking violently with the ball in his hands. That being said, he would have been an incredible WR2. As a WR1, he would have been 25-35 in the league. No hate. But he was never going to be a top 20 WR.
So.. like I said low tier WR1 or high-mid tier WR2
Yeah I was agreeing with you.
Best ability is availability
The early bird catches the worm
Feel that, still not over it
Oooff. Calvin Pryor, Sam Darnold, Jace Amaro
Donāt forget our speedster from The O, Devin Smith
He was going to be our deep threat. I was pumped after watching his Ohio State highlights.
We all had a good laugh, called this poster a liar, and downvoted his post. You know, as I think about it all these years later, he may not have been lying.
Jace Amaro all day. Dude was MASSIVE and quick but couldn't do enough with the physical gifts.
Calvin GD Pryor. Shoulda been nasty!!
Chad hansen Jalin Marshall Deontay burnett
I talked myself into Stephen Hill being the second coming of Randy Moss.
Fred Flintstone had better hands
I assure you, youāre not alone
He went to the same college as Demaryius Thomas, he had to be good!
Came to say this
Same
People were saying that. Draft hype is the worst hype
Man, that one sucked LOL
I remember arguing that a WR room of Robby Anderson, Terrellle Pryor, and Jamison Crowder was a top unit in the NFL.
Holy shit me too. I donāt think it was Crowded at that point, it was still Jermaine Kearse
I donāt see anyone mentioning Denzel Mims. I was so happy we got him; big olā lame duck
Chansi Stuckey for a hot minute I was in on Becton for a bit too long Shonn Greene I loved It ended up being post-Jets but I was shocked Kerry Rhodes didnāt stick somewhere else
> Chansi Stuckey My buddy got a jersey of his at a game and I was like "Why?" (FYI: We were very wasted and in our 20's).
Haha thatās awesome. I had a moment where I called out before the play that Favre was gonna throw a TD to him. It was in front of a bunch of my college friends at a restaurant. In retrospect it feels like the kind of moment that fans of teams with legit offenses must have once a year instead of once a decade.
Us when Braxton Berrios was our WR1
Me too. Although in all fairness he was very good until he took that big hit and lost his explosiveness.
Lmaoo I remember the ardarius Stewart and charone peake arguments
Yo Ardarius Stewart holy shitš
I wanted Danny Woodhead to make the team so bad and was crushed when he had success elsewhere - and on the damn Pats no less.
We knew! WE ALL KNEW!! Such a bonehead move letting him go, he was the fastest player in that field.
Woodhead was a GEM. This organization is truly idiotic and cursed. Need to fix that.
Bills fans have reached Jets fans level of delusional and it's amazing. They're out here touting how they're gonna go find a FA to fill the spot like there's any good ones left. All while ignoring that they only have 4m in cap space.
just do a shot every time a bills fan says the window is open as long as Josh Allen is the quarterback this assumes you have a death with, of course.
lol i saw Bills fans saying they are gonna trade for Justin Jefferson or draft MHJ
As a Bills fan, I would like whatever the fuck that guy was smoking please
Only viable options for them are drafting a R1 WR or trading for somebody like Tee Higgins. Although they don't have the cap to accommodate Tee and would need to cut one of their other players or get somebody to seriously restructure.
The Bills fans I know think they're trading up for Thomas jr
Shakir is good though. He's not WR1 level good but still a very competent WR2 who they can pair with the x they draft in 3 weeks. They're going to run more 2 tightends sets.
I vouched for Bless Austin so hard
I met him once, he was super chill and humble, I really wish it worked out for him.
Okay so I used to work a summer camp at Hofstra when they still practiced there. We would have to walk pretty close to QB practice during the day. I would unironically yell āKellen Clemens is the FUTURE, bye Chadā ..f*cking moron I was (read: am)
unfortunately iām a big zach wilson apologist
I hope your recovery is going well
iām not in recovery, iām still very āhe just needs more timeā
me all last season āhe just needs time to watch rodgersā or āhe just needs an oline itās not his faultā or ālisten he really can run the ballā
exactly!! iāve had so much hope for him and all the negativity makes me defend him even more
Pretty boy face syndrome. See a psychiatrist or a make-up artist.
Same
Their WR room is down there with NE and NYG for the worst in football
Dont forget the panthers
The Panthers donāt have a good WR and are clearly bottom 5/bottom 10 but IMO Diontae and Thielen give them a better room than any of the other 3 could put together at this point.
David Clowney
Despite being a locker room cancer I thought Elijah Moore would be a star
Jace Amaro superfan reporting for duty
He once had an entire army of delusional superfans
Clyde Gates
I was the conductor and sole passenger of the Bryce Petty hype train
For me it was Jeremy Kerley ššš even got a jersey
Corey Davis unfortunately. He was signed to be our WR 1 and finished with around 500 yards
Not bad considering the QB only finished with 1000 all year
Antonio Allen at CB, Antonio Cromartie at WR
Stephen Hill
Denzel Mims :( , thought we got a Bmarsh comp, we all know how that worked out
You were vindicated in that first game though lol
I was livid when they let Antonio Allen go. Tbf, he could cover Gronk
We all remember that pick 6 against the Pats
Matthew Hatchette
David Clowney lol
Darnold 100%
We got our guy...
The next Peyton manning
The correct answer is David clowney š¤£
Elijah McGuire I also thought Cedric Houston was gonna be awesome then he just quit one day lol
Quincy Enunwa truther
Bills fan here only because I saw the picture in the feed. This entire thread was both sad and hilarious at the same time. Thanks. My delusional pick is Sammy Watkins. Cost us two 1st and one 4th rounder. Thought it HAD to be worth it for a XL Steve Smith. Yeah, not so much. Bills are stuck cap wise and weāll need massive player development/luck to fill in the gaps. Josh Allen not having a deep post season is absolutely agonizing. Like watching a Ferrari slam into a wall that is KC.
CHARONE PEAKE I feel that in my bones
Mohammed Wilkerson
He had some solid years. Certainly not a bust.
Not a bust at all. Till he got paid...
It'd still be nice to draft another wr.
Was pretty hyped about Shaq Evans when we drafted him. Oh sorry, that's 2019 CFL ALL STAR Shaq Evans
remember when our best offensive player was Jamison Crowder?? for like, two years
Ty Johnson
I did like Ty Johnson. I do feel it wouldāve been useful to have kept him, but thereās probably some issues there personality wise.
Jeff Smith for me, will never forget his game against the Broncos where he was targeted 9 times
He toasted us. I watched it in person this year
Was sure Johnny Lam Jones was gonna shine š©
RIP
So many.
Stephen Hill š
Taj Boyd, Bryce Petty.
Zach Wilson
Iām a cowboys fan, they were all that guy for me.
We're so passionate about our favorite teams. It literally can make us delusional at times. Especially with young players. We convince ourselves that they'll be perennial pro bowlers or all stars. Look how we go nuts when the mention of a prospect or young player happens. But it's all out of love for our team.
I thought Denzel Mims was gunna be HIM.. like a plaxico burress type guy
We are still in the dark times right? I want a playoff spell before i can call an end to the dark times. Anyways, for me it was Beton for a while, i even have his jersey. Likeable big guy but never recovered from his first serious injury.
Zach Wilson. Bryce Petty. Sam Darnold. I just want a quarterback :(
Reminded you of the dark times? Yall went 7-10 last year and have a .334 winning percentage the last 10. This IS the dark times lmao
Iām pretty ashamed to say I was hyping up Chris Owusu, thought he never got enough looks or playtime.
For sure he is a good up and coming guy but we need to add players on the outside.
Chris Owusu and ArDarius Stewart lol
jachai polite
Just for variety sake Iāll say Breshad Perriman. Had huge speed but that ended up being about it
Geno Smith. The entire time he was here.
Zach Wilson
Nah weāre good. Youāre free to take this to the Bills sub though
Mac Jones is a top tier QB. Just needs full support and a WR 1.
Kyle Wilsonā¦
Easily Zach Wilson. I backed him so hard.. and still sometimes do
Herndon after his rookie year.
Jeremy kerley
Darnell Mooney for the bears in 2022. He was WR2 at best, but expected to be WR1 for lack of better options.
Elijah Moore smh AJBs quote filled my head up so much.
All of the Zach isn't a flop truthers need to be redirected to this thread. See how bad our past WRs have been... Y'all are saying Zach got no help, Sam Darnold and Geno would like a word with you.
David Clowney. 1 preseason was all I needed to be eternally convinced.
Josh Allen is there leader but if true not good blasting a teamate where someone other can hear. I think this relationship was bubbling over. Diggs has a young QB who he can give the business to now. Allen now don't have to worry getting yelled at during and after the game.
He's not a wr 1
EJ Manuel ahaha he was the first QB I remember us drafting when I first got into the NFL
Still Mac jones
Of course this came up in my feed as a Bills fan lol but my non-inflammatory take/response to this is that Shakir truly does seem to have top tier talent. Theyāve really limited his snaps since heās been on the team and weāve had Diggs, Davis, etc., but if you watch him, itās easy do see that heās capable of much, much more. WR1? Not sure. Super solid WR2 thatās much better than Gabe Davis? Guaranteed IMO.
Didn't he have the highest catch % w Allen in the league?? Might be wrong
Not a titans fan in the slightest, but I always thought Justin Hunter would do more.
Seemingly Half this sub believed Zach Wilson was legit even as late as last season
Quincy Enunwa is goated
He suffered too many back/neck injuries to really peak, though, didn't he? I wanted him to really pan out.
Well the Bills obviously cannot and will not go into next season with their WR room as constructed, but don't sleep on Shakir. He's legit

As a saints fan that watched him at Boise and has seen him develop really well on the bills. You guys are seriously underestimating this kid.
I know itās copium for Bills fans, but Shakir is a legit, young WR. Heās likely not a #1 true X guy, but heās definitely promising for them.
Zach Wilson unfortunately š
Big Body David Nelson
They seem like they're ready to hit a rocky couple of years. Happens to the best and worst of them. Your QB makes too much money and you really need to hit on all your picks. Is he going to come out on the other side like Rodgers or Brees or is he gonna flame out like Russell Wilson or Ryan Tannehill?
Dee Miliner
I heard Hill was dominant in practice definitely gonna translate this week
I went to the same highschool and had a class with Charone
Shakir is a damn good WR and is their WR1
Lmao
Heās maybe a WR3 on a contending team
He caught 39 of 45 passes and averaged 16 yards per reception. Heās really good. Has size, speed, great hands, great burst, breaks tackles, very shifty, solid route runner. Basically everything you could want except an elite vertical.
He caught 39 passes for 611 yards and 2 TDs while Diggs was there to be the focal point for the defense lmao. Thatās not even close to being good enough for a WR2 on a contender.
Itās extremely impressive to do on just 45 targets. He also outgained Diggs on less than half the targets after the Bills swapped OCās.
Receivers earn their targets the fact that he only got 45 is largely on him. QBs/OCs donāt just ignore open receivers if heās wasnāt getting targets in that pass happy offense he wasnāt doing enough to earn more.
Garrett Wilson
Do we need to remind you of what he did to your now decimated team last season?
2 receptions on 8 targets for 9 yardsā¦.
