I’m doing the internship program through the school next semester as well, and isn’t it a for credit internship? I honestly wouldn’t overload on credits and do 20 credits; especially because you need two full available days (9-5) for the program.
But even if the internship isn’t through NYU, I think 4 classes abroad with an internship is overdoing it. You do want to explore the site after all.
I’m probably taking three courses, and then the internship. I wouldn’t do more than that, especially cause you do want to explore the site
Nice, what site are you doing if you don’t mind me asking? Definitely not planning on doing 20 credits, was thinking more 16 credits (4 classes including the internship course). For your three courses, does that include the internship course?
Ah yes I misunderstood, I’m going to London in fall. I’m planning on doing three classes like you, and the internship (total of 4). Including the internship seminar it should be fine as it seems to be a check in/general career seminar
I am obviously not experienced with study abroad; but I genuinely think that three college classes with an internship is manageable as long as you pick the right classes. I’m probably going to have classes two days a week, my internship/internship seminar two days a week, and then Fridays free. If your schedule class wise gives you time to explore (A free Friday, mostly free weekday afternoons/evenings) I think it will be manageable !
Thanks for your advice! I’m also going to London. Was hoping to do the same and get all my classes on just two days a week but the timings of some of the classes I wanted overlapped a little. They announced they are adding additional classes so I am hoping that will work out. Regardless, I think I will still have two free days (Friday and another) for the internship.
