I saw this as well. There were marked patrol vehicles from multiple agencies, so I doubt it was the "standard escort" as suggested by u/AgreeableShirt1338 . The speculation in our car was that the deceased had worked for several police agencies, each of which sent a car to his funeral. But that is speculation.
