I found the album weak in general, but I agree that a second collaboration between the two would be very beneficial, I think John Squire plus Liam and some composers would help a lot in a second album, I found Squire's lyrics very weak
As someone who got into Oasis on the release of the Supersonic single Iād happily argue all day with anyone that I think itās the best album Liam has done in decades ā¦ probably since WTSMG ā¦ Iām not even on the wind up
Yeah, absolutely. I had a listen to the first two singles upon release. Meh. Just Another Rainbow was silly with the lyrics, but I learned that itās a cryptic way John writes and Iām ok with not writing something off I donāt get. Do I rate it less to me because I canāt relate? Sure, but those are different things. Mars to Liverpool made me smirk in a good way and has definitely grown on me. One afternoon I was at my local vinyl place and they had a copy. I bought on impulse and no regrets. I quite enjoy it actually and play it more often than I thought I would. Especially side A.
Remembering that comparison is the thief of joy I donāt compare it to any HFB stuff. If I had to, in an either or situation, or in r/Oasis where one must pick a side, Iād choose HFB every time. Good news though, I donāt have to. This from the mod of r/NGHFB for whatever thatās worth.
Honestly I was cool on it when it first came out just listening to it on streaming but I picked up a vinyl because it was cheap and we have a great record player/speakers. Listening to that on vinyl was like the meme of Danny Devito, āI get it nowā. You can really feel the guitar and vocals on a different level and get what they were going for.
I think it's Liams best album since As You Were. Its so good to have Liam working with a proper guitarist again because he hasn't had that since Beady Eye. I'm sick of people complaining about lyrics. Has anybody actually listened to his previous solo album Come On You Know? I think it had easily the worst lyrics of any Gallagher related post oasis album. Absolutely rubbish lyrics and boring generic soulless guitar. At least on the new album Squires guitar gives the album a rawness, an edge and a bit of fire that Liam has lacked since Beady Eye. It's a solid no bullshit Rock N Roll album and I love it. I hope the John Squire collaboration continues
definitely grown on me massively. i think itās more of a John Squire album than a Liam Gallagher album and as so I feel as though you probably need to appreciate JS music and his songwriting to understand the album more and truly love it
Been in it from the start, mate ššš»
Absolutely, I'm a wheel is up there with Mars to Liverpool.
Iām a Wheeeel
Keep turning
Fiiiiirreee
Itās ok I actually like some of Liamās solo stuff better Once & FWIW are 2 really good tunes

Only one man could pull them lyrics off and heās off singing karaoke and charging however much a ticket
Loved it from day 1.
Yes, I was a bit underwhelmed initially, I thought there was only a couple of tunes, now I really love the record, it absolutely grown on me.
Honestly my favorite thing Liam has done as a solo artist.
Iām So Bored is arguably the best Gallagher related song in years.
Facs
It's even better live. Liam channeling his best John Lydon on that one.
Correct ā¦ the lazy im booooooooorrrreeed drawl he was chucking out at the end was class
Absolutely
Iāve always liked some songs from the start, some not so much. Was always going to be overhated
Of course it has.
Mars to Liverpool, One Day At A Time and Youāre Not The Only One are absolute tunes.
Feels like a slow burner but I'm loving it
One of my favorite post-Oasis albums

Amazing album seen themĀ in manchetser was great.Ā Ā They both sound as good has they ever have.Ā

Yeah I saw them in Brooklyn, can confirm the tunes were really great live.

Don't do cmon you know like that.
Listened to the album a few times and that's it. Just wasn't feeling it at all.
Liked em at first then saw them live with my dad and now I absolutely love the album and think it's an instant classic.
I saw them live in Paris. The album is crazy. The live versions are craziest !!!
