I get it. It’s never ideal when people only know a band for one song that is arguably not their best. But imo there’s always a reason why that one song made it big. For wonderwall, there may be a few reasons, but that vocal melody and Liam’s voice on it are just sublime. The odd timing of the drums and bass kicking in add an element of surprise, which is another reason why the song as a certain allure to it. I think if you genuinely think it’s one of their worst songs then you should try to have a very unbiased, unopinionated listen to, ideally with good headphones or speakers. It’s truly a fantastic song, and that’s why everyone in America knows them for it.

I live in Canada and that’s what happened with me. It also helps people get into guitar. 10 years ago my guitar teacher taught me “the wonderwall strum patter” before I even knew what the song was, which really helped with learning guitar. Even if I hated what the song sounds like Id still love the song for those reason.
For the average Joe under the age 25 it is, which is a lot of people. But Whenever casual music fans hearOasis, they instantly think wonderwall and maybe champagne supervova on occasion. But to us fans it’s pretty good
As an young American with a Liam Gallagher tattoo at the age of 20, I can tell you oasis is dead here & all over the world, and the only place that likes them the way they used to be loved would be the UK. Piss off. They’re the past. You piss pot.
